#23

(Dean pov)

Everyone keeps telling me that time heals all wounds. But no one can tell me what I'm supposed to do right now.

Right now I still hear voices, I feel their presence. Right now all I seem to do is hurt.

I know all about hurting. I know all about time and wound healing, but even if I possessed all the time in the world, I still wouldn't know what to do with all the anguish.

People assume you aren't sick unless they see the sickness on your skin like scars forming a map of all the ways your hurting.
Sometimes the monsters are invisible, and demons attack you from the inside. Just because you can't see the claws and teeth, doesn't mean they aren't ripping through me.

But pain is like water, it finds a way to push through any seal. There's no way to terminate it. Sometimes you accept to let yourself sink inside of it before you can learn how to swim to the surface.

But all of this pain, have to remain hidden, no one knows, no one must know. I am not hiding it because of an ego or pride. But because I have to.

Because of who I am. What I am. What I can do. And what I did.

No one knows what I did. They fear me, for what they think I did. But they have no idea. If they did, they wouldn't have accepted me as their guardian.
As a Valkyrie guardian.

(JJ POV)

I could feel my lungs screaming for air, crying out as my legs and arms trashed around widely.

Salty water gushed down into my lungs, causing a surge of intense pain to ricochet off my ribs and around my torso.
A sudden wave came again, whipping me around until I couldn't tell up from down.

I thrashed inside an invisible prison, I saw the exit, but no longer have the strength to survive. Cold water filled my lungs and blood pounded behind my eyes.

Panic faded into numbness, my heartbeat slowed down increasingly. My breaths were agonizingly painful, and terribly short.

I looked up hoping for a way, praying for help. And at once, I saw the light. It came to me in the form of a woman in a white dress, a dress identical to mine.

She swam down to me, grabbing my hand and pulling me up.

As soon as I was out of the water, I gulped in the largest sum of air I could. I was thankful to the heavens for my savior. I turned around to thank her, but she wasn't there.

I jumped out of bed in fright. My eyes were watery, tears poured out. It was a dream.

It was totally scary. I could swear it was real. Every pain I felt in my dream was real. I clutched my chest tight. I could still remember the pain I felt.

And was it normal to dream of the same woman three times now. I was confused. Who is she. And why did I keep seeing her.

She had saved me twice now in my dream. What surprised me more was that I wasn't scared of her, I was terrified of the reason I kept seeing her in my dream. But not of her. I don't know why.

Standing up from bed, I checked the clock in my new room and saw it was still early. I had a lot of time before breakfast.

My room was amazing. I had no better words to describe it. I remember how shocked I was when Jody led me to the room.

It was a very large and beautiful room with cream colored walls. The queen sized bed was situated at the center with three paintings above the bed. The first was a big pretty tree, with colorful butterflies as the leaves on the branches.

The next one looked like a town, with pretty roads and houses all around. There were people gathered at one side, it looked like they were watching the sky or something, but it was pretty.

The last one wasn't quite clear. It looked like a map, but I really couldn't tell.

I proceeded to the bathroom, where I had a very long and comfortable bath. Soaking myself in the sweet rose saint.

After that, I entered into the walk in closet in my room. It was the only disappointment in this room, because I owned only four pairs of uniforms, and the little things I had in my traveling suite case.

By the time I was dressed and ready. It was almost time, so I headed downstairs.

"Hey! JJ," I heard. Looking at where it came from, I froze.

There was a total of eight people, sitting around the dining table. All heads turned in my direction.

But my attention was focused on the Psycho prince.
He immediately scoffed standing up slowly, making sure he dragged the chair to make a long screeching sound. Then he turned and walked out.

Breathing a sigh of relief, I was immediately bombarded with shouts and hugs, from Jody and Jobber.

"How are you JJ?" Jobber asked, but before I could answer Jody replied.

"Stop squishing her you big baby, as you can see she is fine."

"Shut up, you can't call me baby, I am your senior."

"Oh, you wish. It's not about age, but maturity, Dumber.

"You think so? Now, let's see who is more mature," he responded, picking her by the waist and tackling her, while she laughed hard with tears in her eyes.

"Damn. This escalated pretty quickly. They forgot about me, and began to wrestle on the floor.

Meg called me and offered me a seat at the table.

"So, you have met Jobber there, and 'Dean', the guy you poured water on," Wulf said stressing the Dean.

"This is Ro Celtric," she pointed at a guy with short purple hair. I had never imagined purple hair on a guy, looked this hot. Like damn he was pleasing to the eyes, he had the perfect square jaw, with dark brown eyes, and full dream able lips. I couldn't help but scream yummy in my brain.

"Hello," he said with a smirk, as if he knew my thoughts.

"And this is Tharza."
Pointing at a guy with extremely long auburn hair, one side of his face was totally covered with his hair, hiding his eyes and he was wearing a kind of headband. He reminded me of those k pop actors.
He only glanced at me for just a second, and gave a nod.

"Hmm, rude."

"And this is Enga." She concluded, pointing at the last guy.

He looked at me with a shy smile and a wave, he looked the youngest among them all. Maybe eighteen or seventeen years old. He had thick curly light brown locks and some freckles scattered around his nose.

"So cute"

I smiled at them all. "Hello, I am JJ"

"Of cause you are." Cetric the purple hair dude said with a wink.

I didn't understand, was he trying to flirt. Oh no, he did not just do that. I laughed inwardly. He was bad at it.

Done with all introductions, I was served with potatoes and egg, with yogurt.

I tasted the food and died. I have never tasted anything like this in my life. Woah, the mixture of flavors has been just amazing. I hungrily rushed down my food in delight. It was so good.

They all laughed at me as I ate, but who cares, it's good food.

" Who, and how do I get in contact with the person that made this." I asked.

" You don't have to look further. It's Thazar here that cooks for us." Jody said, taking mouth fills herself.

"Wow, you are officially my best friend." I said to him. To which he smiled and nodded at me.

"I guess you should round up your food, it's time for your class. And you wouldn't want to end up late." Meg said, to which I rolled my eyes, but quickened my pace.

"Sigil, is here for you. Now hurry."

"I left the plate on the table, ran back to my room, picked some books and was out of the captains wing, with Blue leading me to a class called 'weaponry'.
