Chapter Thirty Eight
Don't be afraid to fail.
It's not the end of the world,
and in many ways,
it's the first step toward
learning and getting better at it.

"Daniel?" I roused myself awake, hearing my name whispered in the room. Where am I?
I blinked into the darkness, the Christmas tree and the muted colors shining through the front blinds—the only light in the room. I was still on the couch. Still curled up next to Daniel. Memories rushed back to me. Opening up. Confession. Parents. Talking About Ethan. Cuddling with Daniel.
"Allison!"
I jerked upright as he yelled and immediately reached out to shake him.
"Wake up, Daniel. It's a dream."
"Allison!"
It took a few more shakes, but he finally calmed. Finally opened his eyes. He seemed as disoriented as I'd been just a moment before, looking around the room in almost panic. Then his gaze swung to mine. His blue eyes meeting mine.
"Allison?" The lights from the tree made the blue of his eyes seem to glitter. He looked around once again, then a long hot breathe slid from his lungs. "I was dreaming."
I nodded, not sure what to do. I straightened on the couch but stayed sitting next to him. His hand slid over to capture mine.
"I'm sorry." His voice came out hoarse. I'd fallen asleep soon after resting my head on his lap and he must have fallen asleep sitting up.
"There's no need to be sorry, Daniel." I covered our hands with my free one. "Do you want to talk about it, though? Was it about your mother again?" I reached up and caressed his cheek, the stubble of whiskers comforting under my fingertips. He didn't shave while I was in the hospital which makes him look older than his original age. "Maybe talking would help." I feel the need to be careful while asking him because I don't want to push him hard.
He studied me in the quiet darkness. It would be his call, but I wanted him to know I was there for him.
"Or I could make you a cup of coffee," I offered. He might prefer a few minutes alone.
"It was about my mother," he croaked out, and I nodded, more than willing to stay put.
She pulled in a breath. "And I showed up in it?"
I know I did because he wasn't shouting his mom's name but mine. He was shouting my name.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "You show up in all of them now, Allison. Every one." He captured the hand still on his jaw. "And in them, I can never save you."
"Save me?" That wasn't what I'd expected to hear.
His gaze moved away from mine, shifting to the tree, but I doubted he actually saw any of the brightly colored decorations. He seemed to be deep inside his own head instead. "I may not be able to save you," he whispered.
No! No way!
Does he blame himself for what happened with his mom? Oh my God! How did I miss this?
He shook his head. "I fail people, Allison." He blew out another breath. "That's what you need to be saved from. I fail people, and I don't want to fail you. I let my mother down. I let my Dad down. I let you down."
The confusion on my face was obvious. "How did you let me down?"
He gentled his voice and as always, he spoke truthfully. "You could have died that day, Allison." He squeezed my hand in his. "You know that. You could have died."
"Yes." I watched him carefully. "And thank goodness I didn't. But Daniel...what does that have to do with you?"
"I was there that morning," he explained. "I should have known that Maggie might harm you. She likes Annabelle a lot and she isn't fond of you so I shouldn't have appointment her."
The furrow on my brow remained. What is he talking about? "I don't understand. Did you know that added strawberries in that cookies? Did you see me eat them?"
"No. I didn't know. Bu-"
"No?" My confusion immediately cleared. "Then what are you talking about? There's no 'but' to it, Mister. You hired Maggie to help with the cleaning and cooking because this is a huge house and I can't clean it alone. You were trying to help me and you don't have any psychic power to know that she would try to hurt me by adding strawberries in my cookies."
"Yes," he agreed, holding up a finger as he went to explain. "But I should have-
"Stop it. No. You shouldn't have done anything. You didn't know it would happen, Daniel. Do not blame yourself for what has happened to me."
I sat up straighter, my hand pulling away as I shifted, but once I'd settled, he reclaimed it. "Okay," I continued. "Like I said. It's not on you. Just like your mother's death isn't on you, either. You were a kid, Daniel."
I studied him as if trying to understand. My head tilted, and my brow furrowed once again. My gaze softened. "Explain it to me. Let me help. Whatever is causing these nightmares, I want to help you through it. Whatever you need."
"My father's friend...raped her." He wanted to look away from me, I knew it but he didn't. Horror began to fill my eyes but I held it back. "I cried, pulling on his leg but he pushed me away. I don't remember much about it. It was the neighbor who helped us and took her to hospital. My mom was a doctor so everyone there knew her. My aunt held me as the doctors checked her. I remember the doctors rushing inside the ER."
I looked blank. "Then?"
His voice lowered to almost a whisper. "Then a doctor came and told aunt that he's sorry. I didn't know what that meant at that time but now I know. She died. In the dream, it was always my mom in the stretcher. But since last few days, I see you in a hospital bed beside Mom. And that's how you've shown up in the dreams-at least until tonight. You are lying down on the bed and then yo-" He choked off his words.
My hand caressed over his jaw again and turned his face back to mine. "Don't stop," I pleaded. "Finish telling me."
"You stopped breathing, Allison. Just like mom, you were gone." He couldn't stop the words. "It was different too. I was always a kid in my dream but nowadays it's the grown up me and mom in the stretcher. And I hear you shouting for help." His voice had inched higher, as well as his pulse.
"Shhh..." I touched my fingertips to his lips. "It was a dream. You know that."
He captured my hand again and held it to his cheek. "I do know that. Yet, I keep having it. Over and over. And then just now..." He stopped and looked away. He didn't want to think about it, much less say it out loud.
"Tell me," I coaxed.
"Allison..." He pleaded with her.
"Daniel, you're stressed about what has happened. You didn't know an allergic reaction can be this severe. That's why you're getting nightmares which involves me."
"I understand that's what's going on, too. But knowing it doesn't keep it from happening."
"Then tell me the rest of it." I offered him a gentle smile. "I want to hear it. You can't dream about me without telling what it is about."
He reached out and caressed my jaw. He hadn't touched me anywhere but my hands since that allergic reaction and as his palm slid over my smooth skin. He closed his eyes.
"Today, you weren't there in another room. It was empty just like always," he started. His other hand remained wrapped tightly around hers. "You weren't in the hospital bed and you weren't shouting either. But it wasn't my mother in the stretcher...it was you. I was beside you, holding your hand and you were crying. My mom was unconscious but you weren't. You were staring at me and your head was bleeding unlike mom. And you were calling for me. But I couldn't help. You were taken to the ER and after few minutes, the same doctor walked out. He said the same words—I'm sorry. But it wasn't for mom. It was for you."
I felt something damp on his cheek, and it took a minute to realize it was tears. His tears.
Jesus!
"I'm scared," he whispers. "What if I lo-"
My lips closed over his as soon as he ran out of words, and at first he didn't move. He didn't breathe. But slowly his lips were warm and soft against mine. Just like I was warm and soft. He slid his hand to the back of my head and slanted his lips over mine, and he stroked inside my mouth as my moan mingled with his.
"Allison." He pulled back, allowing only a breath of distance between them.
I thought he was being strange but he wasn't. He was scared and was not sure what to do about the nightmare. This was his first time seeing me in hospital. He never spend a day without hearing my voice, without me bickering about something. My silence must have scared him, awakening a part of his past that he buried inside him long ago.
"Nothing is going to happen. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." I pressed another kiss to his lips before pulling back. "And you know I love kissing you." I smiled again, at first with a mischievous lift to my lips before they gentled as they had before. "Just remember one thing. I always want you happy because that makes me feel happy."
He peered back at me. "Does that mean you love me?"
I smile, my cheeks hot.
"You really love me? C'mon, say it. It's almost New Year. Perfect timing, say it."
"It's not the right time. I'm going to tell you when the time is right."
He frowns, his sadness gone. "When is that?"
"Soon."
I flinch when I hear the fireworks. We both move at the same time and our lips meet, tongues fangled as we kiss hard.
We pull away. I smile at him. "Happy New Year, Daniel."
"Happy New Year," he said softly, gazing down at me with unabashed affection. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and ran his finger over my cheek, making me nearly swoon from the sweetness of his gesture. Then he zeroed in on my lips, making my body heat from the memories
He pulled me into his arms, holding me tight as we both relax in each other's arms.
"Are you sure?" John asked for the third time since I entered this building. "Daniel is not going to like this."
Ryan scowls. "Not liking? He's going to kill us for bringing her here without his permission."
John adjusts his blue tie which he wore for his white suit. "I can't believe you are doing this alone without Daniel. He should be here, not you."
I stop in my tracks, glaring at the two men who are walking with me. "One more word and I'll hit you both."
I continue my walk without waiting for their response. It's been a week since New Year and my bed rest days have come to an end so I decided to get to work. By work I meant Anaconda. Today is the board meeting and Daniel is invited along with Anaconda for an explanation about their...uh relationship. Anyway, I wanted to reach before Daniel so I asked Ryan to give wrong timings to Daniel and miraculously it worked. Daniel will not be here for another half hour that is until I finish what I want to talk to the board members.
John gets inside to inform the board members about my arrival while I wait outside with Ryan. Ten minutes later, John appeared at the door. At first glance, he seemed stiff and maybe a bit peeved.
"You can come in now," he said. "The situation is not really good. Are you sure?"
"Yes"
"Okay."
Even though I knew nobody want me here, it was comforting to go into the conference room when I thought about Daniel.
When I walked into the conference room ahead of John, Dad jumped up to greet me. "Allison." His voice held a warning and concern. I have never involved myself in anything that's a part of my Dad's business but I need to do it now.
There were around ten members in the board including Dad, Caniel, Thomas John's Dad and Ryan's Dad. My eyes meets with Mr. Brown and he offers me a tiny smile.
Mr. Wilson, Mr. Carter, Thomas and Caniel have five percent each. So the twenty percent vote is on my side while Mr. Ronald who is Annabelle's father has ten percent and he's on the opposite side.
I scan the members. Mr. Harris, Mr. Brown, Mr. Philip and Mr. Lane are the remaining members. The first two are around my Dad's age while the last two are older and probably in their late sixties and are tough nuts to crack. Mr. Harris, Mr. Brown and Mr. Philip have ten percent each while Mr. Lane and my Dad have twenty percent each. I'm not sure about Dad's decision so I can't fully expect his vote.
"It's so nice to see you," Mr. Philip said, rising to his feet. "I met you once many years ago with your dad, but you probably don't remember because you were just a little girl at the time."
I shook Lucus Philip's outstretched hand. "I'm sorry I don't remember, but it's nice to meet you again. Thanks for having me."
"My pleasure. Heard about the allergic reaction. I hope you're feeling okay."
"My pride is bruised along with my body, but I'm okay."
From what I heard from Ryan, Mr. Philip is a friendly man but that friendliness doesn't help us in business.
"Let me introduce you to other board members." He introduces everyone and I get nods and greetings in exchange. Mr. Ronald glared at me while I gave him a tiny smile. My eyes moved to Annabelle who had her eyes fixed on me. She was in a white power suit trying to steal the attention which I totally ignored.
"Nice to meet you all."
I settled on my seat and faced the board members. I clasped my hands together and smiled brightly. "I want to thank you for your time today, and I apologize for my presence instead of Daniel. But I bet I'm much easier to eyes than Daniel."
Their chuckles defused some of the tension in the room and helped me to ease into my zone.
"I know from talking to John that you all are here to discuss about Daniel and Annabelle which is a huge part of my life and that's the reason I'm here."
Mr. Philip and Mr. Brown nodded in agreement while Mr. Harris and Mr. Lane remained expressionless.
"I would like to hear what about your decision and the reason behind it," I demanded, my gaze on the four board members who are settled around the round table.
Mr. Harris cleared his throat. "We have a strict rule about office affairs. I hope you know about the VIP section of the board where there are around twenty five members and it's a rule that the members should not get involved. Normally the company decisions are approved by the votes of the VIP members and we don't want any complication, hence the rule. Since this is a decision about two of the VIP members, we decided to involve only the board members for the vote."
I nod my head. I'm a VIP member myself but I have given my voting right to my father because I was not interested in this company. Most of the members are the children or relatives of the board members but everyone are strictly qualified for the job. You can't get inside the VIP section unless you have a vote of more than fifty percent from the board members. I don't know how I got it but my Dad managed it somehow.
"Annabelle has informed us about their relationship which is completely against the company rule. She informed us that Daniel is an adopted child of Caniel which was kept as a secret from us. Moreover, she also told us that their relationship still exists and he was blackmailing her. So we decided to cancel Daniel's VIP card which means he's fired. He is still the only heir of Caniel's share so he might get involved with the company in the future but we'll deal with it later," Mr. Philip completes and all eyes focuses on me.
I roll my eyes. Seriously?
"You all are either idiots or acting as idiots."
Mr. Harris' eyes widens. "Excuse me?"
"You can't fire Daniel without listening to his part. That's called being biased."
Mr. Lane smiled, showing his cute dimples. "We haven't fired him yet, Allison. This is just our current decision but it might change after we hear his side. We still have to take the votes and we haven't done that yet." He tilts his head at me. "John informed that you'll be the one who's going to speak for Daniel."
"That's right."
"He's a pussy," Mr. Ronald snaps, glaring at me.
Mr. Lane's smile vanishes. "That's not how you should speak when you're here, Patrick."
I turn towards Mr. Ronald. "Daniel doesn't know that the meeting starts at eleven. According to the time given to him, it starts at twelve so he'll be here after we finish our arguments."
"Who changed it?" Mr. Leo asks.
"Me," I said proudly. "He respects you all and is also angry at himself for trusting a cruel witch. He might accept the punishment without an argument and I don't want that. He deserves the best and I'm not ready for you all to punish him without letting him explain his part."
Mr. Philip smiled brightly. "Okay. Tell us your side of story."
"Daniel and Annabelle was involved in a sexual relationship for few months but it came to an end before four months. She blackmailed him for mon-"
"I didn't. This bitch is lying," Annabelle blustered, startling the silence in the room.
Mr. Brown turns towards Annabelle. "Let her finish, Belle."
"She blackmailed him for money. He stopped giving her money just few weeks before I married Daniel. She sent photos to me to destroy our marriage and tried seducing Daniel at Thomas' party. She challenged me on taking my husband away from me and told some lies to Caniel and my parents. She manipulated our maid and tried to kill me by adding strawberries in my cookies. I had an allergic reaction and was unconscious in hospital for three days."
I finally allowed myself to look at Dad and found him watching me intently, as if hanging on her every word.
Clearing my throat, I zeroed in on Mr. Philp. "I understand nobody was informed about Daniel's adoption."
Mr. Philp nodded in agreement. "We heard the news just before few days from Annabelle."
I turned to Mr. Harris, who positively nodded as he listened to me. "It came as a shock, I guess?"
"That's putting it mildly," Mr. Harris muttered.
"Caniel didn't want his son to feel like he didn't belong here and that's the reason why he hid it."
"We would never treat him like he didn't belong here," Mr. Philip retorts.
I grin. "Well, you all decided to almost fire him because you weren't informed that Daniel is adopted. I think that's almost equal to treating him like he didn't belong here."
Silence!
Minutes passed and Mr. Lane decided to break the silence. "Whether Daniel is adopted or not isn't an issue. He has already proved that he belongs here with his hardwork. His adoption will not be a reason for his dismissal." My lips curved into another smile. "But Allison, how can we believe you about the things you've just spoken?"
"The same way how you'd believed what Anaconda told you."
Mr. Lane arched his brows. "Anaconda?"
I give him my best smile. "My nickname for Annabelle."
Thomas chuckled, taking a sip from his coffee. I wink at him.
"You can't call my dau-" Mr. Ronald starts but I don't let him complete.
"I can when she calls me bitch. And Anaconda is a decent nice name for your daughter considering how worse it could be."
Mr. Ronald fumes and rises to his feet. "You bloo-"
"Patrick," Mr. Lane says sharply, cutting off Mr. Ronald. "You better sit down if you don't want to face the consequences." It takes few minutes for Mr. Ronald to calm himself down and sit back on his chair.
Mr. Lane turns towards me. "Allison, I heard all your arguments and you're right we can't believe what Annabelle said without any proof and the same goes for you. But we can confirm that Daniel and Annabelle were in a sexual relationship, right?"
"Yes." Caniel, Thomas and Mr. Carter frowns at me.
"So we can take action for breaking the company rule, right?"
"Yes."
"Allison," Caniel calls out, glaring at me.
I ignore him as I face Mr. Lane. "You can punish him in ways which you feel is right but firing him from this company or taking back his rights is not acceptable. Frankly speaking, I would have done the same thing if I was in your place. Daniel does deserve some lesson for trusting Anaconda."
Mr. Lane smiles again. "Do you think an affair is going on between them?"
I shake my head. "No! I would cut off his dick if he did something like that," I tell, earning chorus of chuckles. "Anyway, Daniel wouldn't do that to me. I trust him. He's handsome, sexy, trustworthy, sweet, hardworking and I love him." My lips curve involuntarily.
Watching Mr. Philip and Mr. Lane exchange glances, I couldn't tell if I was turning them onto the idea or turning them off.
"Did you have any proof regarding your accusation about Annabelle?" Mr. Lane asks.
I nod my head. "Of course. I have given all the recordings between Daniel and Annabelle to John, you can check them out. The amount and the dates on which the money was given to Annabelle is also made into a list. Details of her gambling addiction is also with John."
Gasps fills the room. Annabelle freezes, her mouth opens in shock. I smirk.
It wasn't easy to know about her gambling problem since she kept it very discreet. Her driver is the one who told us about the places she visited and with so many searches, we finally realized what is her need for money. Thanks to Alex! She has debts. Huge debts and everything is from gambling.
The money Daniel gave her was huge. I didn't expect so much but the list was too long. It was nothing much for a billionaire but it's still his hard earned money. Ryan had kept a list of everything because he knew it might be a come in handy and it did. Daniel also recorded some conversation between them but he never showed them to me. When Ryan told me about the recordings, I decided to steal them. I'm still waiting for the moment when Daniel realizes that I have lied and stolen recordings from his phone. Jesus!
"Gambling," Mr. Philip repeated, as if he hadn't heard me correctly. "Are you sure?"
"She's lying. I.. I didn't." Tears roll down her eyes and I immediately realize that they're fake.
"My daughter wouldn't do that. You lying cunt," Mr. Ronald shouts.
I forced herself to press on, even though the vibe in the room told her that they didn't believe her.
"Yes. I have proof. You all can che-"
My words come to an end when the door opens wide and enters Daniel. My eyes immediately move to my watch but it's just eleven twenty, why is he early?
Daniel's beautiful eyes scans the whole room and finally reaches me. Slowly, I rise to my feet and give him my sweetest smile but his expression tells me that he's not falling for it.
"What in the world are you doing here?" I flinch with the intensity of his voice.
"Daniel," I say softly. "I was just..having a conversation. Nothing ser-"
"You should be in your room taking rest. You told me you were going to see Judge and that is the only reason why I allowed you out of your bed. You need rest, Allison." I gulp when I hear the anger in his voice. "Hope told me about all your plans."
My breathe hitches.
I'm going to be a murderer. I'm going to fucking kill her. Hopeline!
"We need to talk, Daniel," Mr. Lane said as the others nodded in agreement.
"Thank you so much for coming in and walking us through the things," Mr. Philip said. "It was very...interesting. I like you, Allison. You're a smart woman."
"See?" I point at Mr. Philip. "He agrees that I'm smart."
Daniel walks towards me, checking me over to make sure I didn't end up missing any parts of my body. "You make me crazy," he mutters, pulling me for a hug. I smile widely as I pull away from him slowly.
"I'll take it as a compliment."
I turn towards the board members. "I would sue you guys if you fired him. Hurt him and I will burst your balls," I tell them, my voice loud, clear and serious.
"Give me few minutes. I'll join you soon. First, I need to have a word with my wife," Daniel said.
Why do I feel threatened by that?
"Take your time, Daniel," Mr. Lane said, smiling at me.
My eyes moves towards Annabelle who's staring at me with bloodshot eyes. Looks like she's not ready to back down. Before I could give her a word, Daniel lifts me off the floor and carries me on his back.
"Daniel," I shriek. "Put me down. Daniel, you better put me down."
I cry out in anger as he walks out of the conference room. He moves towards a room and opens the door. It looks like an office and once he locks the door, he places me on my feet. I take a deep breathe, trying to calm my raging heart.
Daniel reached out to tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear, the gesture so tender and intimate that I found myself wanting to lean into him again, to breathe in that scent, to let him comfort me, to make me feel something more.
"You okay?"
I nod my head. "Before you shout, I didn't want you to quit from the company and that is the reason why I took matter into my hands. I promised you in the beginning and I'm not going to back down from it. They might give you some type of normal punishment but they won't fire you, I made sure of it. Of course, we have to wait for the votes to confirm bu-"
Before I could complete my sentence, he was leaning in closer, his lips brushing against mine, softly, slowly, sweetly.
I whimpered. "Daniel..."
"Kiss me."
I raised my hand to his smooth face and pressed my lips to his. He put his arms around me and I forgot all about going slow when I realized my enthusiasm more than equaled his. My knees went weak under him, and my blood felt like it was on fire as it rushed through my veins. Then my hands were under his shirt on his back, moving restlessly.
"God, Allison," he said when he had no choice but to breathe. "You have no idea what you do to me."
"What do I do? Tell me."
"You make me forget that I need to attend the meeting in few minutes." He kissed my neck and made me moan when he dragged his tongue over my soft skin. "You make me want like I've never wanted anything or anyone." More kisses, until he reached my earlobe, which he bit down on, just hard enough to make my gasp. "You make me want you right now."
"I have no objection to that."
"That's right." He kissed me again and I was literally addicted to the taste of him.
"I missed you and it's been just few hours apart."
"I missed you too, baby. I wanted you so much that I almost thought about breaking the doctor's rule of no sex for a week."
"A week is over, Daniel."
"That's a relief," he whispered and he crushed his mouth to mine and I threw my arms around him. He reached under the bottom of my dress and grabbed the back of my thighs, lifting me right off the ground. I wrapped my legs around him, threading my fingers through his hair, fingernails raking across his scalp. Chills swept down my arms and back. It felt so good to be touched this way again, wanted this way—damn that doctor. I stroked his tongue with mine, kissed his jaw, his forehead, his neck, and my entire body thrummed with the need to feel him, to be surrounded by the warmth of his desire.
Moving around, he put me back against the wall, pinning me there, pressing the bulge in his pants between my legs, rocking his hips to rub against mine. I used my legs to pull him closer. Minutes flew by as our breathing grew heavier, our bodies more demanding. "Daniel," I whispered. "I want it. I want you more."
Ten seconds of fumbling around with clothing later, he was sliding into me, his hands beneath my ass, my forearms braced on his shoulders. My mouth was open, just above his. "Oh God," I whimpered as he lowered me onto his cock.
His eyes closed as he buried every last inch inside my tight, wet pussy.
"Want me to stop?" Is he kidding?
I don't think so.
My eyes flew open and I stared him down. "Don't you dare stop, Mister. I want this. It's been more than a week and I want you so badly." I needed it so desperately I couldn't see straight. I don't know how I managed to stay away from him for a week. It was pure torture.
Pushing me back against the wall again, he drove into me, hard and fast and deep. I cried out at the peak of each thrust so loudly he had to put a hand over my mouth so the old men sitting in the other room wouldn't hear us.
I gasped for air against his hand, my eyes wide and wild. I stroke his fingers with my tongue, and when he slipped his thumb into my mouth, I sucked it, licked it, bit it. Every muscle in my body was tight and tingling, and I knew I couldn't hold out long. He put both hands beneath me again, holding me tight to his body and flexing his hips to give me the best angle, rubbing the base of his cock against my clit. I'd missed this feeling that surge of power and pleasure when I come.
"Yes! Just like that," I cried, my eyes closed. "Don't stop, please don't stop..." I dropped my head to his shoulder and sank my teeth into his flesh, one hand fisted in his hair, the other clutching his bicep. My legs tensed up, my entire body going still, and he pulled me even closer, using his hands to move me in little circles on his cock. My pussy pulsed rhythmically around him, and he lost control.
He rasped and growled through clenched teeth, his orgasm tearing through him with brutal force. He fucked me, passionately, like he was angry at me, like he loved me, like a man completely driven by instinct and desire. And when he came, exploding inside me with violent bliss, my face buried in his neck, everything went silent and black.
"I love you," I whisper when my I finally find my sense. "I love you so much." Tears filled my eyes.
Slowly, Daniel sets me down on the floor but doesn't let go of his hold on me. The whisper touch of his fingers on my cheeks was my undoing. Tears rolled down my eyes. "Thank you for everything. I feel..so happy, Daniel."
Daniel chuckles. "I know, baby. I feel the same. I decided to quit from the company because it didn't matter anymore. All I want is you. I want to experience all of them with you—the highs, the lows and everything in between. I want you to have faith that I'll always be right there with you. And I want you to have faith that I'll always love you no matter what. I want us to live together and sleep together and and make beautiful babies together and watch them grow up together and then grow old and cranky together."
I laughed even as a sob erupted from my throat. His incredible words had my emotions spinning out of control again. "I'm not cranky," I said, trying to hide my smile.
"Sure, you're not."
"I don't want you to leave but you really need to get back."
Daniel nods but doesn't let go off me. "Go to home. I'll be back as soon as possible. Got it?"
I nod my head before kissing him again. Every moment with him is blissful!
