"Stop," I whisper, pulling my mouth away from Daniel. "No more kisses. It's been ten minutes and I can't think when you kiss me like that so stay far." I step away from him and rushes towards his white couch.

I settle on the couch, breathing heavily from his kisses. Damn him and his lips!

Oh, you love them.

No!

Liar...

Daniel smirks at me, his eyes filled with darkness and lust. He shakes his head before walking towards me and settling beside me on the couch.

"One arm distance," I said, moving away from him. He rolls his eyes at my gesture before pulling me closer to him.

"Either you sit near me and talk or get out," he replies, his eyes fixed on my face.

I glare at him before letting down my struggle to move away from him. Why in the world can't he understand that I can't think straight when he's near me? Ridiculous, just ridiculous.

"First, you need work on your romance. If you shout at me then it's going to be difficult to make people that we're in love. Second, you need post some pictures of us in your social media with some cheesy caption. Third, we need to go for our honeymoon. Fourth, I don't like that house of yours. By any chance is it haunted? Anyway, you have terrible taste when it comes to home designing. Fifth, I can't remain celibate for next six months so we really need to talk about it, Mister," I state, without blinking.

Daniel stares at me for few seconds before muttering, "Why is it still there?" What?

"What's there?" I ask, looking around the room to find what he's talking about.

"Your lipstick," he states, his brows furrowed. My eyes widens. Lipstick?

"You're thinking about my lipstick while I was talking to you." I huff out some air in annoyance. "You got to be kidding me, Mister. Listen, we have some imp-"

Before I could complete, his lips are on mine. Jesus! We turn into each other, and his fingers curve along my neck as he sucks my bottom lip aggressively, teeth skimming the sensitive skin. He releases it only to flick his tongue along the underside of my top lip before sucking that one too. This is definitely weird.

Before I can decide whether or not I like it, he pulls back, wearing an oddly smirky grin, which very quickly turns into a frown. "What the…" He doesn't bother to finish. Instead, his expression shifts to determination, and he dives back in, this time stroking along the seam of my mouth. He doesn't start tongue-thrusting into my mouth. Instead, he sweeps inside, slowly, softly, tongue sliding against mine. Okay, this is nice. I can get into this. Especially when Daniel groans into my mouth, and his fingers slip into my hair and wrap around the strands, tightening just enough to send a shock of heat through my body.

Untwining our still clasped hands, Daniel wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me closer, which isn't easy since we’re sitting beside each other on the couch. I kick off my heels and pull my knees up under me so I don’t have to twist awkwardly to maintain the kiss, which goes from sweet exploration to a full-on mouth battle in the span of seconds.

I run my fingers through his hair, gripping the strands tightly as weeks of pent-up sexual tension unravel civility. Daniel's fingers tighten on my waist, and he lifts me so I'm straddling his thick, muscular thighs.

Any thoughts of why this might not be the best idea disappear as I yank his hair, tipping his head to the right while I angle my own in the opposite direction. I bite his tongue when it slides into my mouth, and his fingers dig into my ass.

We keep going after each other's tongues, sucking, biting, stroking. It’s aggressive and fun and hot, and sweet Jesus, I bet this man's tongue skills are beyond incredible in every capacity.

He uses my hair to pull me back—not in a forceful, potentially painful way, just firmly. His top lip is curled in the sexiest sneer for all of half a second before his brow pulls into his customary furrow, again. "What the—"

He’s still gripping my hair in his fist, so when he comes back in and sucks my bottom lip roughly between his, all I can do is yelp. He backs off again, still wearing that furrowed brow as he rubs over my lips with his thumb. It's tender from all the kissing, so I whimper.

Before he could kiss me again, I move away from him, landing my legs on the floor. "If you kiss me again, then I might faint so stop."

"How is that lipstick still on?" He swipes the back of his hand across his mouth and checks for marks. "It should be smeared all over your damn face."

Woah! That's something I didn't expect.

I agree.

"You kissed me to wipe my lipstick?" I ask, folding my hands below my chest.

"Yes," he replies without any hesitation.

I bark out an incredulous laugh. "You really need to work on your manners, Mister." I blow out some air before glaring at him. "It's a stain and it doesn't smear due to kissing."

He's still staring at my mouth. "So, kissing you isn’t going to make it come off?"

"No."

"Not even if we kissed for, like, the next eight hours?"

I raise my eyebrows in question. "I'm really up for the kissing but we have some important matters to discuss. Yeah the lipstick may go away after hours of kissing but I might end up dead due to lack of oxygen."

"How is this stuff still on?"

"I told you it doesn't come off."

"What's in it that it stays on this long?"

What? Has he gone nuts?

I roll my eyes. "You have to call the manufacturer to know the details but I'm sure it's safe. Hope checks everything before she orders my accessories. Anyway, why are you so obsessed with my lipstick?"

"Because it's damn annoying that it's still there." At my raised eyebrow, he continues. "You have this face, and these gorgeous full lips, and you wear this lipstick that's just … a huge distraction. And it never comes off."

I growl in annoyance. "What do you want to do now?"

"Take it off." That's the first time a man has asked me to take off my lipstick. How did I even reach here?

By marrying him.

"You promise to listen to me after I take it off?"

"Yes."

I find my purse lying on the floor which I must have probably dropped when Daniel started kissing me. I grab the purse, flip it open and root for the remover and assistance tissue."

I put that on my lips like gloss and used the tissue to wipe it off. Once I'm sure it's gone, I toss thw tissue in the waste bin.

"Now can we get to the actual reason why I'm here?"

Daniel nods his head while smirking at me. I shake my head before sitting on the couch, next to him. "I can do the pictures in social media thing and if kissing you is romance then that too. At the same time, no honeymoon for another one week, it's Thomas' —father's friend's— birthday and I need to be there. He means a lot to me so we can go for honeymoon after that," Daniel explains making me realize that he did listen to talks.

"Okay, honeymoon after a week but what about the sex. I need a clarification," I demand, grinning wide.

Daniel rolls his eyes. "No sex until the honeymoon."

I give him a perplexed look but still nods my head in agreement. "What about the house?"

"I rarely stayed there and anyway we're moving to another house once the birthday party is over."

My eyes widen slightly. "So this is not the house you told me?"

He shakes his head. "That house doesn't have any furniture since I didn't plan to move there any time soon so yeah we'll stay in this house for a week. Annabelle just visited once or twice in this house."

I roll my eyes but doesn't say anything. "I need to leave," I mutter and then bites my lip.

"What are your plans for today?" My body stills when I hear that question. He's asking about my plans?

Romantic right?

I would go with curious.

I turn towards Daniel with wide eyes. "I have to study Merlin's case, check few financial reports and select furniture for your house since you suck at designing."

To my surprise, Daniel chuckles. "Do you have to go to your office for all these things?" When I shake my head, he continues, "Then why don't you stay here, I can arrange the necessary things you require."

I blink at him for another one minute. "The couch is fine but why do you want me here? It's not like you can't get some work done without me being here." I tilt my head, my eyes focused on Daniel.

He gives me his usual cold expression. "I just want you here. No reason." My breathe hitches and I didn't argue since I wasn't in mood for an argument, I have some shit to do so it's better to keep my head clear. "Okay," I mutter while texting Hope to come to Daniel's room.

I grin widely when I see Hope entering the room along with the guy who was there in the conference hall beside Daniel.

"This is Aby Jones, my secretary," Daniel introduces to me. My grin widens. He has a male secretary.

Relieved?

Shut up.

"Nice to meet you, Aby," I greet, earning a nod and genuine smile.

Hope frowns immediately. "Then who's the woman I saw you with in the morning?" Of course, Hope didn't forget to acknowledge the elephant in the room.

"That's my assistant," Aby says, smiling at me.

Hope growls as if she's in pain. "I need an assistant too," she points out, turning towards me with a pout.

I shake my head at her before rising to my feet along with Daniel. "You can appoint an assistant."

Her eyes widens. "Really? I can?"

"Yes but you'll be the one who gives him or her the salary." I move towards the table, grabs two pen, two pencils and few white sheets.

"Ally, that's not fa-"

"Get back to your work, Hopeline," I order, walking towards the couch and settling on it. I turn towards Daniel. "Two cup of coffees would be great." With that last sentence, I start my work.

"Nonsense," I mutter, glaring at Hope. "All this is not enough to win the case. Merlin is jobless and she's dependent on her friend which is more than enough for the court to deny her the custody of the child." I shake my head after biting my lip and closing my eyes.

"She's trying so hard for a job but the father creates problems everywhere."

I open my eyes. "Hope, give her a job at my salon until the case is over and find more evidence. This is not enough. You get me?" Hope nods her head before typing something in her phone.

I turn my head towards the door when I hear the sound of door opening. I grin when I find Daniel lets himself into the room and threws himself on the chair. He looks too tired. He stood up after few seconds. He undid the tie and threw it on the chair . He took off his jacket and threw it carelessly on the table so he was standing in his white shirt and black pants. He folded the sleeves of his shirt and settled on the chair again.

"Stop drooling," Hope whispers causing me to turn my gaze away from Daniel.

After few seconds, there's a knock on the door and a woman enters who was present in the conference room earlier. "She's the one I was talking about," Hope whispers, smirking.

So she's the assistant of his secretary. Hmm.. Looks good enough for an office romance. The woman looks like she's in her early twenties with her blonde hair and sea green eyes.

I find her stealing glances at me which confirms my doubt about her interest in Daniel. Why in the world are woman so interested in him?

Because he's handsome, hot and smart?

How about arrogant, egoistic and dominant?

After a minute, the woman walks out. "Did you have sex with her?" I ask out of nowhere causing Daniel to freeze slightly.

"Ally," Hope hisses probably not happy with my timing.

Daniel gives me a curious look before muttering, "Yes."

Hope immediately rises to her feet and start jumping in her heels causing me to wonder why she hasn't fallen on her ass yet.

I frown before turning towards Daniel again. "Did you have sex with her in the office?" I ask, glaring at him.

"No," he replies without any hesitation. I rise to my feet and now it's my turn to jump up and down.

"What?" Hope shouts, stopping her tantrums. "That's not fair."

"It is," I point out. "The bet is about office sex not normal sex so that's makes me the winner. Your treat so go and order lunch for us."

"Cheaters," she mutters before walking out of the room.

I turn towards Daniel only to find him staring at me with amusement. "You placed a bet on me having sex with my assistant?"

"Not exactly," I tell him with a bright smile. "I placed a bet on whether you had sex with your staff in the office."

He stares at me for few seconds before muttering, "Are you always this nuts?"

"No but most of the time," I tell him seriously.

Jesus!
