Nikolai woke up from an amazing sleep, he never slept in a softest and warmest bed in his life. He got up from the bed and warmed up stretching himself out, he may not be a gymnast but his father trained him to be an athletic fighter. Nikola then washes up and went to the bank to make a bank account and a very large deposit, he took the case of 50k and went to the bank. It took a while but he finished making his account and his shocking deposit, he then went to the nearest gym to practice. Little did he know it was one of the most popular gym for Vale's finest martial artists.

Ruby POV

This isn't good, Vale is on the bottom of the tier list. We're getting are butts kicked in while Atlas stands on its podium. I walked up to Yang to see her conditioning.

Ruby: "What is the next fight gonna be?"

Yang: "Cardin Vs Nolan"

Ruby: "Okay that's all I needed to know, Cardin is already a try hard fighter so it's something we shouldn't worry about..."

Then I hear the door open.

Third Person POV

Nikolai walked into the gym not really having knowledge of the location itself, he looked around seeing that it was a martial sports gym (Martial sports is like Boxing, Wrestling, MMA so on and so fourth). Nikolai then set his bag down and took out a pair of boxing gloves, Jaune looked at him while whispering to Ren.

Jaune: "Do you know him from somewhere?"

Ren: "No, seems like someone's new to the neighborhood"

Nikolai struck the bag with speed, accuracy and power hitting it with fast jabs and devastating hooks. He then moved on to his kicks, every time he kicked the bag a large *boom* would echo. This attracted a less than friendly fellow to Nikolai.

???: "Hey! This is my bag!"

Nikolai: "It will be just five minutes"

Nikolai then focused on the bag only to be shoved by the man.

???: "Didn't you hear me commie? I said it's my bag"

Nikolai looked at him with frustration, the man went up to his face showing obvious aggression.

???: "What you got a problem with that?"

Nikolai then threw a massive hook to the Brute's jaw making him drop down.

Nikolai: "You need to shut your fucking mouth"

The brute yelled out trying to punch him only to get a side kick to the chest and a backflip kick to the jaw knocking him on his ass.

Nikolai: "If you want to fight then take it to the ring, other than that shut your fucking mouth"

???: "If that's what you want then let's go! You and me in the ring right now!"

Nikolai went up to his face clearly pissed at him.

Nikolai: "So that's what you want? Then what are we waiting for?"

Nikolai and the brute went into the ring, the two put on their mouth guards ready to fight, the brute ran up going for a flying knee only for Nikolai to sidestep and kick him knocking him on his back. He then went to the ground and pound punching the brute to submission until he pushed Nikolai away knocking him onto the floor, Nikolai just did a kip-up as a response.

When the two gained even ground Nikolai hit him in the face with a turning hook kick then following it with a step up side kick then finished the combo with a triple kick knocking him to the side of the ring, the brute then went for a heavy left swing which Nikolai responded with a duck and a cross to his liver and finished it with an uppercut to the jaw. The brute was on the ropes giving Nikolai a chance to knock him out of the ring with a side flipkick.

He fell onto the ground unconscious causing the crowd he created to gasp.

Nikolai: "Thanks for the warm up, cyka"

Nikolai then went out of the ring to go to the weights while Yatsu carries the brute for recovery, Nikolai lifted some weights casually like nothing happened even after PLENTY of things happened. Ruby was discussing with Yang about what just happened.

Ruby: "Did you see that?!"

Yang: "The fact that Cardin got taken out so quickly? Yeah..."

Jaune: "Guys I have some bad news..."

Ruby: "What is it?"

Jaune: "Cardin's in critical condition, I don't think he can fight..."

Ruby smacked her hand against her forehead.

Ruby: "Dang it! Who's going to fight the next fight?"

Yang then watched the mystery fighter lifting weights, his speed, his power and his ferocity proves that he has been fighting for a while now. Maybe even longer than any of the people in this gym

Yang: "Should we ask him if he wants to fight for Vale?"

Ruby: "I don't know, maybe? I mean he's a capable fighter and all but he seems to be new to this area..."

Yang: "Well we're open for new fighters so I might as well ask..."

Ruby hesitated but came with her conclusion.

Ruby: "Won't hurt to ask right?"

Yang nodded as she walked up to Nikolai.

Yang: "Hello sir"

Nikolai: "I'm sorry for the fuss I'll leave once I finish"

Yang: "No it's not that actually I want to ask you something"

Nikolai put down the weights and looked at Yang.

Nikolai: "What could that be?"

Yang: "If you would take Cardin's place in a match"

Nikolai looked in confusion.

Yang: "The guy you just beat was actually gonna compete inside the octagon a week later but after that fight you had with him he's in critical condition so he can't fight..."

Nikolai: "So you want me to be a temporary replacement?"

Yang: "And be one of Vale's participants in the UFC"

Nikolai realized that this was a chance for him to become a pro MMA fighter, it reminded him a time when he was in prison with his father.

-5 years ago-

A thirteen year old Nikolai Boyka was training with his father Yuri Boyka, Nikolai worked for on the bag as his father watched him during his break. Nikolai even in a young age shown speed, power, and stamina, not as much as he does now but still has phenomenal skill.

Yuri: "Take a break son..."

Nikolai: "I have to train pa"

Yuri: "Breaks are necessary Nikolai"

Nikolai didn't want to but stopped for a moment nevertheless, Yuri tossed him a bottle of water which Nikolai accepted. As Nikolai sipped from the bottle his father decided to ask him a question.

Yuri: "What motivates you to fight"

Nikolai: "To be a great fighter like you"

Yuri smiled as he pat Nikolai's shoulder

Yuri: "I'm touched son, but you should focus on gaining your freedom"

Nikolai: "What's the point in that?..."

Yuri: "You'll be free, eat better foods, live in a better home and do what you wish as long it's not against the law"

Nikolai: "What's the point of all that when I can't share my freedom with you?"

Yuri was quite surprised, he didn't expect such an attitude from Nikolai especially since he was raised in a prison. It caused him to shed a tear which he whipped from his face.

Yuri: "If that's the case, then we're going out together. Okay Nikolai?"

Nikolai: "Yeah I got it pa"

Yuri: "Now let's continue"

-flashback ends-

Nikolai snaps back from his thoughts, he then looked at the patient Yang in front of him.

Nikolai: "I'll fight"

Yang: "Great! Here's the address of where you'll train, hope to see you tomorrow"

She handed Nikolai a piece of paper which he accepted, he looked to see an address and a phone number on the paper.

Yang: "I'll see you there"

Nikolai put the paper in his bag and continued his workout.

Nikolai prayed on his bed holding a cross in between his hands, he said his final prayer and left his cross on the nightstand. He then looked at the piece of paper he got reading it.
