3rd POV
Lightning struck as the Captain held onto the wheel of the ship as Ghira held his hat and brought Blake into the cabin.
Captain: Y/N! Take the wheel!
A twelve year old boy grabbed the wheel, he had H/C hair and E/C eyes. He held onto the wheel as the Captain ran to the cabin to check on the Belladonna's.
Captain: Ghira! How is your family?
Ghira: we're fine.
Blake: what about Y/N?
The twelve year old ran up to the captain and grabbed his pant leg.
Captain: he'll be fine, he may be young but he's the most experienced of my crew.
Y/N pulled the wheel as hard as he could as he navigated through the dangerous waves. In the distance he saw a massive fin, moving quickly.
Y/N: oh no!
The fin rose from the ocean as a Leviathan came up and roared.

Y/N: CAPTAIN! WE HAVE A LEVIATHAN!
The captain ran from the cabin to see the giant moving towards the boat. The mouth of the Grimm began to ignite with flames. It then unleashed the flames on a crane and sending it towards the wheel.
Captain: Y/N! GET DOWN!
Y/N dived to the ground as the Crane took the top of the helm.
Captain: Y/N!
Y/N stood up to see the Leviathan coming closer and closer. Y/N picked up a harpoon from under the wheel and shot it at the Leviathan, nailing it in the shoulder. The Grimm growled at Y/N who was being pelted by the rain. The crane came back around and the metal hook hit Y/N off the side of the boat with a massive thud.
Captain: Y/N!
Y/N fell into the Grimm infested waters, Y/N looked around the pitch black ocean, the salt water stinging his eyes.
He saw something in the distance, though blurry.

Y/N accidentally breathed in the ocean from fear, choking on the water that went down his throat, causing him to ingest more salt water and entering his lungs. The Grimm shark stopped and looked at the drowning Y/N. It then quickly moved to the side and bit down on him, bringing him to the depths of the ocean.
Captain: Y/N!
The Leviathan roared out as it dived to the depths below, and the storm disappearing. The cabin door opened as Blake ran out.
Blake: where's Y/N?!
Captain: He....he's....in the depths....
Blake covered her mouth and her eyes began to tear up.
Blake: Y/N..........
She went to her knees and screamed out.
Timeskip 5 years
Blake's eyes shot open and she jumped up from her bed and held her head. Weiss slowly opened her eyes to see Blake sitting up.
Weiss: everything alright Blake?
Blake: y-yeah Weiss...I had a nightmare.
Weiss: would you like to talk about it?
Blake: no....I'm fine....thank you.
Weiss: you know if you ever want to talk about it we are here.
Blake: thank you.
The door then started getting pounded upon.
Yang: Who is that knocking!!!
Yang got out of the bed with her sleep mask all messed up along with her hair. She pulled the door open to see Ozpin standing there and drinking his coffee.
Ozpin: Hello there.
Yang: GRAAAAAH!
Yang grabbed Ozpin's collar.
Yang: it is 2 in the morning!
Ozpin: you four have been hand picked for a mission, an island is overrun by Grimm and the people need help, you have thirty minutes.
Yang's lilac eyes turned red as she let go of Ozpin and went into the bathroom for the shower.
Ozpin: she seems happy.
Weiss sat up and stretched, she then stood up and got Ruby up.
Weiss: Get up.
Ruby fell out of the bed and then woke up.
Ruby: I'M UP!
Timeskip 45 minutes.
Team RWBY landed on the island to see the town in flames.
Ruby: Holy Cow!
There were Beowulves running through and howling at the sky.
Weiss: this....how can something feel so evil.
Yang: no time to worry, let's kill WOOHOO!
She jumped from the bullhead and ran to the town towards the Grimm.
Ruby: she is insane.
Blake got out of the bullhead as well and unsheathed her weapons.
Blake: lets go!
She ran ahead to see Yang fighting. One of the Beowulves jumped from a building, flaming, but not getting hurt from the flames.
Blake: how.....it's not dying!
Ruby and Weiss got out of the Bullhead and ran into the town as civilians ran away, trying to get away from the Grimm. An Ursa came from behind Blake and bit down on her leg and put her to the ground and dragged her.
Weiss: Blake!
She ran towards the Ursa and stabbed it in the neck. But instead of getting hurt the Ursa ignited into flames, just like the Beowulf from the building.
Weiss: WHAT?!
Ruby: Weiss watch out!
A Beowulf attacked Ruby and threw her into the town's square.
Yang: No!
She punched the Beowulf in the face and helped Ruby up along with the other girls.
Ruby: what's going on?
Weiss: they're never this powerful!
On the hill above the town a man bit down on the wing of a quail and ripped the meat from the wing and swallowed it. He put his hand out towards a pond and the water launched him through the sky as he slammed into the ground in front of the town, in front of the ocean. As he landed the ocean behind him shot up.
The man wore a mask with light blue cracks and he had a scratch across his right eye. He pressed the side of the mask to the sound of air releasing. The Grimm all turned from the wounded team RWBY to see the man.
Blake: who....is that?
?????: Slashing Currents.
His voice was deep and scratchy with the mask on.
He put his hands down to his side and his forearms began to become surrounded with water. His eyes turned light blue as the Beowulf launched at him. He slashed the Beowulf in half, putting it to the ground quickly. The Grimm growled as they charged at the man.
The man jumped up and looked down at Grimm.
?????: Aqua Shreddar....
A ball of water formed in his hands. He then lifted his arm and slammed the ground creating a plume if water to wipe out and crush the skeletons of the Grimm. The water from the attack rained on the flaming town and put the fires out.
Blake's eyes widened as she saw the figure stand up and crack his neck and shoulders.
Blake: woah....
The man looked over at the girls and walked over.
Ruby: thank you for your help!
He looked at all the girls and sighed.
?????: get home, it's dangerous here.
He walked away.
Blake: wait! Who are you?
The man stopped and slowly turned his head slightly to the left, looking back at the team.
??????: I don't have a name.....I'm a Devil Slayer.
He put a ball of water to the ground and disappeared into a puddle.
Yang: woah....
