HISTORY:

Before the infamous Great War, the essence of POWER CONTROL is not meant for combat and purely for the art of magic and beauty to remind the people of the Gods' constant presence. However, it was then developed for self-defense and attacks after the emerging of demons.

The most common kind of POWER CONTROL is called INDIRECT. This involves the manipulation of elements under five, major categories being: Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, and Spirit. Minor elements include electricity and healing.

A rarer kind is called DIRECT involving the direct manipulation of auras, enabling the user to make a direct connection with an existing object. Through this connection, there are two possibilities: ALTRUISM, which is composed of being able to sense, see, or hear. Meaning, the ability to know but the inability to fabricate. Examples include being able to see a person's past, and hear the voices inside a person's head.

ALTRUISTIC DIRECT USERS are different from MANIPULATIVES. Manipulatives are able to project images into another person's mind, communicate telephatically, transmit emotions, and other things. What the other is capable of, the other is not. That means, although an altruistic can hear voices from people's mind, he or she cannot communicate telepathically. The reverse applies to a manipulative.

DIRECT USERS, being rare, are not uncommon in the royal family. The king's kins are more likely to become direct than indirect, but it is not strictly so. Users in this category who do not belong in the royal family has, one way or another, a noble lineage.

The DC characteristic is extremely rare as the original holder of such control was King Friedel. Eventually, his bloodline branched out to many families which is why there are numerous Direct Control without having any direct ties to the royal family.
