A/N Sorry I wasn't able to update yesterday, but I was busy...

Ales' POV

I looked both ways before crossing the street and knocking on the door, the somewhat heavy box trying to slide its way out of my hands. It was 8:30 AM, and Aphmau thought I was taking a run, but in reality, I was going to Garroth's house.

I know what you're thinking.

What are you doing at his house??

And my answer is; giving Garroth his welcome present.

We both have this awkward excuse where we always say we need to feed our cat, when in reality, we don't even have one. So I decided to put the excuse to good use and got him a cat.

I remember looking around the adoption center of the store and noticed a car that looked just like Garroth.

Same sandy blonde hair.

Same icy blue eyes.

Same terrified state when it's around girls.

I smiled, pointing to it and telling the employee I wanted that cat.

Now all that was left was to give it to Garroth.

 To my surprise, Laurence answered the door. His blue eyes were in a sleepy state, and his brown hair was disheveled. I almost dropped the box when I saw him, but luckily, I didn't.

"Hey Ales." He said, smiling slightly. I smiled.

"Hi Laurence! Is Garroth here?" I asked. Laurence nodded.

"Yeah.... but you do know it's 8:30 in the morning, and that itsSunday... Right?" He asked. I nodded.

"Of course! Just wanted to get here before Aphmau does for the house tour. By the way, I'm coming too." I said. Laurence's eyes brightened up a bit, but he scrunched his eyebrows in confusion when he saw he box.

"What's that?" He asked. I smirked.

"The reason I'm here. I guess this is a present for you and Dante as well, so you might want to meet up in the living room or something. And right now." I said, struggling once again with the box. Laurence's eyes widened and he grabbed the box.

"Let me help you with that." He said. I chuckled nervously, hoping he wouldn't be able to see what the present was.

And that the cat wouldn't randomly meow any second.

He led me to the living room, and I sat down on the sofa with the box next to me. Laurence sat on the other side of me.

"What's in the box?" He asked. I smiled.

"Nice try, but I'm waiting for Garroth." I said.

As if on cue, Garroth entered the living room, rubbing his eyes. He froze when he saw me.

"A-Ales, what are you--?!"

"Welcome to the neighborhood, Garroth!" I said, motioning towards the box. Garroth smiled.

"That's for me?" He asked. I bit my lip.

"Well technically, it's for all three of you, but I don't feel like waiting for Dante to wake up, so let's just open it now." I said. 

Garroth say across from me and I placed the box in his lap. He opened the lid...

.... And out jumped the kitten.

"Wha-- You got me a cat?" Garroth asked as the kitten jumped onto his shoulder. I giggled, nodding.

"Yeah. You and I are always using that lame excuse, so... Why not?" I asked. Laurence laughed when Garroth picked up the kitten and scratched it behind the ear.

"Good going Ales, but now Garroth just looks more attractive then he did last time." Laurence gasped out.

It was true. Anyone holding a kitten is seemingly more attractive.

"Well then why don't you hold it?" I asked. Laurence shrugged and took the kitten from Garroth, holding the tiny creature in his hands.

It made him super Kawaii.

"Yep, thanks to me, Aphmau will have an easier time between choosing you two or Dante." I said, standing up.

"Where are you going?" Asked Garroth. I bit my lip.

"Home. I'll be back, though. Aphmau wants me to come with her for the tour." I explained.

"You technically already know your way around though." Laurence said. I shrugged.

"She still wants me to come. Do you not want me to come?" I asked.

"Th-That's not what I meant--!" I laughed at Laurence, who walked me to the door. He was still holding the kitten.

"Oh, by the way, it's a girl." I said. The kitten made a soft purring noise.

"We'll figure out a name by the time you and Aphmau get here." He assured me. I smiled, walking out the door.

Aphmau followed Garroth around the house for the tour, and I walked into the kitchen after Laurence. 

He's got to pull himself together.

"Laurence? Are you ok?" I asked, walking towards him. He didn't answer. I don't think he even knew I was there. All he was doing was mumbling how much of an idiot he was in front of Aphmau.

You gotta admit, he was acting pretty weird.

I reached out and tapped his shoulder. Nothing. Then, I patted his head and called out his name. Nothing. Finally, I frowned and shook his shoulders.

"Laurence!" I yelled. Laurence snapped ou of his daze and finally saw me.

"How long have you been there?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.

"I've been calling your name for the past three minutes. Are you ok?" I asked. Laurence nodded, pushing his hand through his hair.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said. I smirked.

"Anyways.... You promised me a name for the cat?" I asked, bending down and picking the kitten up. Laurence's eyes widened in realization.

"Right! Well, Garroth, Dante and I sat down to find a name, and since it's a girl, we decided on Melanie." Laurence explained. A/N Ok, yes I did just do that. If you don't understand, read my An Adventure Worth Fighting For book.

"Aw, that's such a cute name!" I said, placing Melanie back on the floor. She ran off. Then, I noticed the time on the clock and facepalmed.

"Shoot. I promised Sam I'd come home at two so I could watch this video she keeps freaking out about with her." I said, grabbing my purse.

"Y-You're not gonna stay?" Laurence asked. I shook my head.

"Nope. Sadly, nothing gets in the way of Sam, and her Dan and Phil videos." I said, walking out the door. I waved goodbye before crossing the street, and saw Laurence holding Melanie.

Damn it. Holding a kitten makes him even more attractive.

A/N Ok, so yesterday I was driving home from Santa Cruz, and Sam called me and started freaking out about Phil is not on fire 7.

She really likes those two, and I don't blame her.

Anyways, I had to include her major freak out over the phone somehow, so that explains that.
