Chapter 31- Heartbreaker
ITACHI'S POINT OF VIEW
I was furious as I pushed the demonic man out of the blood circle. I caught enough just in time to understand how his 'jutsu' worked. He remained the black and white color before growling at me.
"Errg!! How dare you fuck up my sacrifice! I'll destroy you!" He growled. I made sure he was all the way out of the circle before I used my mangekyo sharingan. He and I began battling, him attempting to hit me with the scythe without any success. I glanced over to see Minako bleeding out, meaning I needed to finish this up quick. I was furious! How dare someone EVER LAY A HAND ON HER! I knocked the man down before forcing him to look into my mangekyo sharingan. He gritted his teeth before looking into my eyes...big mistake.
"Tsukuyomi." I casted the genjutsu on him, destroying his mind with infinite torture. I dropped his drooling body before running towards Minako, her desperately trying to open her violet eyes. There were bruises and deep cuts all over her, blood covering her completely. I felt my eyes start to burn from the mangekyo and so I deactivated it. My main focus was taking Minako and bringing her to safety.
"Minako...Minako...open your eyes." She was searching for something to look at before finding me. I brushed the bloody and sweaty hair away from her eyes, afraid to pick her up and move her. My heart was pounding in my chest. It was all up to me to save her right now. I didn't have Shisui, I didn't have Jiraiya, and I didn't have Kakashi. It was all up to me.
I will not let her down.
"Minako listen to my voice. Focus on me...okay? It's all going to be okay. Think of me...think of Naruto...think of Shinasui..." I told her as I used water from a canteen I had and poured it on a piece of cloth I ripped off of her shirt. I wiped the blood off of her arms and legs as best as I could before observing her wounds. They were really deep, too deep for the nine-tails chakra to heal it without taking a long time. This means I have to give her stitches. Minako mumbled a bit, trying to stay awake without much help. I gently tapped her cheeks before making her look me in the eyes, her violet ones finally focusing properly.
"Hey...hey... look at me. Okay look at me." I calmly told her. She had a hazy look in her eyes before mumbling.
"Ita...Ita..." She tried to sound out before losing focus once again.
"Shit she's losing too much blood! I've got to make this quick!" I began to lose my cool and took out wire from my pouch. Normally it is used for traps but it is strong enough and thin enough for stitches as well. I quickly bit the wire with my teeth to cut it as I stitched up the gash on her leg. I moved and did the same on her shoulder and anywhere else that needed them. I wiped off all the blood and the wounds that I could but noticed she was still bleeding...on the inside of her thigh. I blushed bright red and ignored any urges I had in order to help her. I removed all the clothes on her lower half except for her underwear and found a deep gash on the inside of her thigh. I wiped the blood and made the stitches, my face inches from her... I did my best job and cleaned her up enough so she was no longer bleeding...the most important thing.
"Mina!!! Did you-... Itachi?!?" I turned around to see Jiraiya running towards me, concern and panic written on his face.
"Itachi what are you doing here? And what happened to Mina!?" I gave him a cold glare. How dare he leave her alone like that? She would have died had I not arrived. How come no one knows how to protect her like I do? Kakashi...Jiraiya...they always put her in these positions and she always gets hurt!! No one can care for her like I do!! I swallowed my anger and turned away from the sannin. I gently picked up my love and cradled her in my arms...taking great care not to rip any stitches.
"She was attacked by an immortal. She would have died had I not arrived. We need to find a hospital and fast." Jiraiya pointed west.
"I found the Hidden Steam Village. It's just a few miles from here." I looked at Minako in my arms and her breathing was shallow. It is all up to me. I have to save her...I have to do it...
"Jiraiya step back!" I shouted. He jumped away from me as I activated my protective shell for the first time.
This is what love can do.
"SUSANOO!!" I was surrounded in a full body shell, the susanoo stood tall, placing Minako and I on its shoulder. Jiraiya was in awe of the full body susanoo but I didn't care. I care only about her and making sure she's going to be okay. The susanoo traveled fast, the strain it took on my body was something I ignored as best as I could...I looked down at the woman in my arms and cradled her closer to me.
"Minako...stay with me." Her eyes barely fluttered open, her violet jewels piercing me in the heart. I loved her so much. I always have...I always will...and today was my chance to prove to her I was no longer a child.
"Ita...chi..." She softly smiled at me before reaching her hand up and cupping my cheek, tears from my cheek ran down her hand.
"My...hero..." She looked in my eyes and my chest swelled.
"I love you." I told her.
"Itachi..."
"Minako I love you."

KAKASHI'S POINT OF VIEW
I was picking up the dirty laundry around the house when I saw some socks outside of Shinasui's bedroom.
"Ugh Shinasui! Put your clothes in the bin like I told you!" I yelled. She didn't give me a response, immediately causing me to be concerned.
"Shinasui?" I called out. I walked closer to her room, sensing two chakra signatures, one massive one. Was Mina home?!
"Twobi thwat twickles!!" I heard my daughter giggle. Was this the imaginary friend whose chakra signature I was sensing?! Was Shinasui talking to an actual person?! I moved up my headband and used my sharingan to see a grown body of what seemed like a man talking to my daughter. I ran into the room to see her window open and Shinasui sitting on the floor with a bear in her hands.
"Daddy?" I climbed out the window before looking around, the chakra signature vanished. I went back into the room to see Shinasui look at me with confusion in her violet eyes.
"Shinasui...who were you talking to?" She looked at her bare toes, playing with the bear.
"Nobody...just Twobi." I narrowed my eyes before picking her up and sitting with her on her bed, facing her.
"Shinasui...is Tobi a real person?" She looked up at me, Mina's violet eyes staring into mine...I missed Mina so much...
"Of course Daddy!" I went rigid. Was this a real person talking to my daughter this whole time?! Some pervert was preying on my baby girl and I didn't even notice?!
"Did Tobi touch you?" I felt sickened and prayed to whatever god out there that he never laid a hand on my daughter.
"Twobi twickles my twoes and gives me hugs!" I was about to lose my cool and go hunting for this Tobi.
"Shinasui...what does Tobi look like?" I asked between my gritted teeth. I wasn't angry at Shinasui, after all, she's been nothing but honest with me. I was furious with myself with how blind I've been this whole time! I'm going to kill this guy...whoever he is...
"He's got black spikey hair, an orange swirly mask, and a cool black thwing with thwese red clouds on it!! Oh and he has an eye like you daddy!" I furrowed my eyebrow. An eye like mine?
"Baby do you mean daddy's black eye or red eye?"
"Red!!" She chimed. My teeth clenched further. This wasn't some person in the village...this was a trained shinobi with a sharingan. I hope to god it's just Itachi playing with her under some goofy name.
"Shina...was it Itachi?" She shook her head and gave me a weird look.
"No...Itwachi is helping Mommy right now silly Daddy!" Now it was my time to be confused.
"What do you mean? He's supposed to be home from a mission? How do you know this?" Shinasui laid down in my arms, snuggling up to me.
"I saw it in my dream. Mommy got really hurt and Itwachi came and saved her...when I woke up, he put her in this big red thwing thwat protwected Mommy and made her go really fast two thwis weird village." What? That's a weird dream.
"Oh and Itwachi's big red helper was called Susanoo! Isn't thwat cool Daddy?" I stared at Shina wide eyed.
Was she seeing something? Was this real? Because how did a toddler know what a susanoo was???
Better yet, who was this unrecognized Uchiha following my daughter?

MINAKO'S POINT OF VIEW
After a few days in the Hidden Steam hospital, I healed up fairly quickly. Kurama healed the damage to himself and then the damage on me when he was finished. I was incredibly excited because Jiraiya found the stolen toad oil in these specialized spa's where these thugs tried to sell it for profit. He reclaimed all of the oil and reversed summoned back to Mount Myoboku while I was in the hospital. Itachi has constantly been by my side, helping me as much as possible...and for that I was eternally grateful. Things have been a little weird for me though since my student exclaimed his love for me. I've known for years he had been crushing on me but I never thought it would go this far. I couldn't have him hoping and dreaming to be with me and miss out on all the ladies he could possibly fall in love with that were his age. He would ruin his life this way.
I was released from the hospital and packed up with some supplies from the local store for the trip home. It should only take three or so days to get back to Konoha from here if we try hard enough. Itachi was by my side, observing me carefully as we began traveling home. We were on the road for a few hours before I began the conversation with Itachi that we desperately needed to have.
"Itachi." He turned and looked at me, showing I had his full attention.
"This love you feel for me...it isn't healthy. I've known you had feelings for me but I never knew it was this strong. I love you, I do, but as a student and family. No matter what, I will always support you and have my arms open for you...but I am a happily married woman with two beautiful children. I made my choice a long time ago ya know. You are young and full of so much love and heart, something I will not be able to reciprocate the way you want me to. I know I am breaking your heart right now but don't lose hope in yourself. There is a person...for everyone in this world...you just found some of her characteristics in me when in reality...when you find her...you'll see she's everything you've ever wanted or needed." Itachi looked at me with a broken hearted expression on his face. I knew I've hurt him but this was necessary in order for him to move on...and find the one meant for him. He might hate me now...but in the future, he'll see that it was good that he moved on.
"Yes...Minako...Sensei..." He whispered. I could hear the pain in his voice and I wanted to badly to hug him close and apologize and tell him what he wanted to hear in order to make him happy but I just couldn't...because this is to save him from a lifetime of heartbreak. I love him enough as my student and family to cause him pain now in order to save him.
The rest of the trip was fairly quiet but with occasional conversations. We made it back very early in the morning of the fourth day, the sun barely rising in the cool crisp air. Itachi went to the Hokage to speak of our return while I headed straight home. I wanted to see my children and my husband desperately. I unlocked the front door, setting down my equipment in the corner of the floor, too tired to put it away properly. I took off my shoes and walked down the hall. The first door was Naruto's room. I peaked the door open to see Naruto sleeping soundly, cuddling with a picture frame of us. I smiled softly at my loving son before walking into his room quietly and sitting at his feet. I delicately brought my hand to his messy blonde hair before moving my fingers through it, something he always loved. His cerulean eyes slowly pried open, blinking away the sleep. He turned to look to see who was touching him, only to see me with a smile on my face.
"Goodmorning Naruto." I whispered to him. He quickly jumped up and embraced me, tears flooding his eyes as he hugged me tightly. I kissed his cheek and rubbed his back, holding my baby boy close. Just being with him took the weight off of my shoulders. My first little angel was back in my arms, safe with his mother.
"Mommy...I've missed you so much ya know..." I kissed all over his cute little face before snuggling up with my baby boy.
"I missed you too Naruto. More than words can ever say." I laid with him a little bit longer until he fell back asleep. I snuck away into Shinasui's room to see her snuggling up to a little bear. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and felt her soft white hair. Her porcelain skin and light locks gave her an appearance of a baby angel.
"Shinasui...Mommy's home..." I whispered in her ear. She smiled in her sleep before reaching her little hand out to find me. I placed her palm on my cheek delicately while kissing her cute little arm. She was pretty tired it seemed so I left her alone to get some more sleep. Last was my husband...my handsome husband who made my life so much happier...my other half...my soulmate. I cracked open our bedroom door to see he was soundly sleeping like my other two. I smiled at him before taking off my clothes, stripping down to my underwear, my usual sleeping garments. I missed him so much. I crawled into bed with him before kissing his cheek, lightly touching his bare chiseled chest. He cracked his one good eye open, only to see his red headed wife lying next to him.
"Mina, you're home?!" I nodded with a smirk before climbing on him and pulling off his mask completely.
"I missed you baby." I whispered softly before caressing his lips with mine. He eagerly replied with a kiss, his soft yet strong hands traveling from my bare thighs towards my hips then torso. He then flipped us so he was on top and kissed from my neck and collar bone all the way down...
"I need you desperately." Kakashi whispered against my thighs.
