MINAKO'S POINT OF VIEW

"NARUTO GET BACK HERE AND PUT ON YOUR PANTS!" I shouted from the three year old's bedroom. I was helping him get dressed for his day out with my team and me but he decided a shirt was enough and pants weren't necessary.

"No way Mommy!" Naruto giggled as he ran off into the living room. I raised an eyebrow at him and used Minato's technique to appear in the living room right behind Naruto who was waiting for me to come out of the bedroom. I then picked him up from behind and tickled him, causing a laugh to escape his lips. He was gasping for air between his giggles.

"Mm-mmommy! Sss-stop!" He giggled. I smiled.

"Say you're sorry!"

"I-I'm sssorry Momm-mmmy!" He panted with a smile. I stopped tickling him and held him up so his face was across from mine. His wild mane of yellow hair spiked out in every direction just like his father's. I noticed that his eyes have gotten a slightly deeper and darker blue than his father's sky color. I had always loved those blue eyes...

I put a pair of black shorts on him and running sandals before grabbing my weapon's pouch and heading out the door with Naruto. It was a bright, warm and sunny day out. Naruto held my hand as we walked towards the training fields for the day to train with Shisui and Itachi before we left for our next scheduled mission. Kakashi was at an Anbu meeting with the Hokage currently and wouldn't be out for another two hours. He was going to join us later then take Naruto and I out tonight. Kakashi and I were inseparable and he came with me on missions everywhere. The Hokage let him stay with Naruto and I more which was amazing. I got to see Kakashi every day, his handsome face made my heart pound faster than any drum. I knew how much I was in love with him... I couldn't imagine the world without him. We've been together since before Naruto was born...our anniversary coming up on four years next week. Some people thought since Kakashi and I were both eighteen now that he would just pop the question since we've been living together for so long anyway. I haven't really thought about marriage or settling down, my life as a kunoichi has barely started! 

I also somehow felt like I was never alone.

Every now and then, I felt the watchful eyes of something or someone. Never did I feel unsafe but ever since that incident in my room before Kakashi came home two years ago, I haven't seen the masked man. I knew he must have been around somewhere...

Naruto and I made it to the training fields to see the two Uchihas passing a round ball to each other. My long ruby hair was tied up high in a ponytail and my headband for once kept all of the hair out of my face. My body adorned a skin tight black tank top with a fish net t-shirt overtop and black shorts. I loved the color black although it was Summer so I had to keep the amount of clothing minimal so I wasn't sweating to death. I have fully developed as a woman since Naruto was born, my body curvier than Kushina's when she was alive but what I gained in curves I lost in height. I missed my sister dearly, every single day I have thought about her...but I followed through on my promise to her. I was the best mother I could possibly be for Naruto. 

I haven't told him that I was his aunt...and I'm not even sure if I ever will. The little boy is attached to my hip and hates it when I go anywhere without him now. He's also very possessive of when I'm around and gets jealous of Kakashi when I give him love too. Even though Naruto believes me to be his mother, he knows Kakashi is not his father despite his knowledge that we are a couple. It's not that Naruto dislikes Kakashi, in fact he loves him, it's just that he wants me to give him the most attention.

Naruto tugged on my sleeve with a grin on his face before he ran off towards Shisui. Naruto adored Shisui and his carefree personality. Not so much Itachi. I waved to the boys and Itachi greeted me with a respectful bow while Shisui waved back.

"Hey sensei! What're we doing today?" Shisui asked. I shrugged and smiled at the beautiful sky. 

"I'm not really sure-" I froze mid sentence when I felt five strong chakra sources from behind the bushes near Shisui. I immediately grabbed two kunai, one in each hand and directed the boys to get behind me. Just as Itachi ran to my side and Shisui grabbed Naruto to take behind me, five men in battle gear appeared with weapons. 

"We finally found the two jinchurikis..." One of them called out. Naruto held onto my leg tightly.

"Mommy I'm scared." Naruto cried. I looked down at him before looking back up.

"I know baby, it'll be okay, Mommy will take care of it." I assured him. He was shaking in fear.

"If you leave now, I won't kill you five." The men started laughing before they used a few handsigns. Suddenly they were behind Shisui and Itachi, fighting them. 

"Itachi! Shisui!" I called out, they both had their sharingans activated and fought two against three. I looked back at front to see the two strongest saved themselves for me. I took Naruto into my arms before sending out some shadow clones to fight them, my number one priority was to get Naruto somewhere safe so I could go back and fight with my team. The men stopped me however by eliminating my clones.

"For a jinchuriki, you're pretty weak." They mocked. I growled, feeling some foreign power seep into my chakra stream. Naruto was crying, terrified.

"Mommy!"

"How dare you scare my son. I'll kill you." I growled. I placed Naruto on the ground before using the flicker technique to appear behind him with a rasengan in hand. The one guy sprawled forward and I used my chakra chains to hold him onto the ground. The other man was fast and grappled me from behind. I watched as the other couple men knocked down Itachi and Shisui but not without sending one into a horrible genjutsu. Itachi killed one but the others were only injured.

"Boys!" I called out to no avail. I was held tightly by another man using some sort of binding jutsu, unable to break free to get to Naruto. Naruto was screaming and crying out for me but I was stuck, unable to reach him. I pulled and tried as hard as I could but could only watch as they knocked out Naruto and carried him away towards the village gates.

"I trust our only son, to you."

I snapped.

I let out an inhuman roar as red chakra swirled around me, my teeth elongating into fangs and my eyes switching to a demon's red. 

"NARUTO!" I screamed in a double voice. I heard the men holding me wince in pain as the searing chakra burned their skin. Chakra chains came from underground and grappled around their necks, choking them to death. I ran as fast as I could towards where they were taking my Naruto. Two tails of chakra appeared behind me and whisker marks grew prominent on my cheeks. I moved to all fours, running as fast as I can, destroying anything in my way. 

I swear to god if they so much as scratch him, I'll send their souls straight to hell.

KAKASHI'S POINT OF VIEW

I was standing in a room next to one of my friends, Tenzo, when the Hokage entered the room. We all kneeled at once at the Hokage's presence.

"I have my best and brightest gathered here today for a meeting." He started. Tenzo and I looked at each other before we both shrugged. The man started to look old now...withered with a depressing aura around him.

"I have recently received some disturbing news about the Nine-tails attack a little over three years ago. After some research and evidence that appeared, it seems that one of our own started the attack." My eyes widened. The Nine-tails attack? Who in the leaf could have possibly planned and executed the attack?! 

"It seems that the culprit used an eye-technique to control the beast. This eye technique is native to this village and only one clan. The Uchiha clan." Mumbling could be heard throughout the crowd. That couldn't be true? The Uchihas were Mina's best friends...her team...Obito...the Uchiha clan weren't bad people. In fact, they were in charge of the Konoha police force, so why are they being targeted?

"I am not accusing anyone of treason right now, but it is essential you all keep your eyes out-" Suddenly the door was thrown open by one of the Hokage's assistants.

"Lord Hokage! We have an emergency!" I saw a beaten up Shisui and Itachi enter through the doors, leaning on each other for support.

"They're gone!" Itachi shouted. Shisui winced in pain. Itachi's eyes found mine and I swear my heart stopped. He couldn't have been talking about Minako, could he? And Naruto? Please tell me that's not true...!

"Who Itachi?" The Hokage called to him. Obviously Itachi and Shisui were trustworthy since they were small children during the attack a couple of years ago. Itachi clenched his teeth, his knee wobbling slightly.

"Minako and Naruto Uzumaki. These men attacked us, they were after the Nine-tails. They took Naruto and Minako sensei chased after them...she had this weird...red chakra... her power was incredible." My internal panic set in and I shot straight up. The Hokage's eyes rested on me.

"I want Anbu teams of three to search the area now!" Tenzo and I nodded before going to the two injured Uchiha boys and taking them to the infirmary.

"Where did you last see them?" Tenzo asked. I was too emotional to speak. There was nothing more I wanted than to be holding Mina in my arms at this very moment.

I can't lose somebody else.

"They were headed towards the village gate. We got rid of a couple but I think Minako sensei is running into an ambush." Itachi informed. Medic-nins quickly healed the boys enough that they could move around decently. Shisui was ready to pass out though, a blow to the head knocked him hard.

"Then what are we waiting for?" I spoke. Itachi looked up at me, sharingan activated.  

"Let's do this."

I'm coming baby, just hold on for me a little bit longer.
