Twelve

Yunho was on his fifth time rearranging the library since Mingi had left. Even though they had kind of made up, he still felt so guilty for what he had said to him. He didn't mean to drag up the past, he was just upset...

It was day 14 and the island was growing restless. Their supplies were low and people were missing their families.

Seonghwa especially was having hard time hiding how much he missed Hongjoong.

Their little crew always tried to do dinners together at least once a week, but he had declined all invitation.

Yunho sighed. If they didn't get back today, Hongjoong was going to be in so much trouble. But he didn't have the heart to punish Mingi anymore. He just wanted to be back in his arms.

A horn sounded and his head snapped up. When it sounded a second time he dropped the books in his hands on the floor and ran at full speed to the beach.

There it was. Their ship, sails pearly white against the blue sky as it sat anchored by the dock. The crew was already unloaded the ship.

Yunho ran down the wooden dock, dodging anyone who got in his way until he slammed into Mingi, who already had his arms opened wide. He wrapped his legs around the pirate's waist and kissed him over and over, sobbing apologies as he held on tighter.

Mingi chuckled softly and just held him, letting him pour all his emotions out.

When he finally calmed down a little, he leaned back and Mingi took the corner of his sleeve and wiped his face. "Hello gorgeous." He whispered, giving him another kiss.

"Hi." Yunho said, suddenly feeling shy as he unwrapped his legs and stood on his own. Mingi just laughed again.

"I brought you something." Mingi turned around and pulled some books out of his satchel.

Yunho felt a wide smile cross his face as he flipped through them. "These are great!!"

Then Hongjoong was there, he patted Yunho's shoulder. The taller cocked his head as he noticed the captain was holding some books too, but he kept walking and met Jongho on the beach. The younger blushed furiously and Hongjoong just patted his shoulder before hurrying off to the daycare while Jongho ran back to his house.

"What was that about?" Yunho said, turning back to Mingi.

"No idea. Hongjoong bought some books from the same store I did but he didn't tell me what they were for. Oh, also," Mingi handed him another book.

Yunho gasped when he recognized it. The book had been one of his favorite ones to thumb through back home. How Mingi had found another copy he had no idea, but he carefully opened it and stared down at the page.

It was a book of music. Yunho was happy that he could finally read the words, but the lines and dots above them were still a mystery to him. He went through each page one by one, tracing the patterns with his fingers.

"Mingi... I don't know what to say..."

"James says hello."

Yunho looked up at him. "J-James? I... J-James?" His heart pounded in his chest. There's no way, it was too much of a coincidence.

Mingi took the book from his hands then turned him to face the ship.

What he saw made him fall to his knees and cover his mouth with his hand, covering his renewed sobbing.

His little sister ran down the deck and hugged him, followed closely by his mother. She kissed his head as he hugged her like she wasn't real. He looked up to see his father and brother standing back, but tears in their eyes as well. And his sister Quinn was with them, smiling softly.

"I-I-Is this r-real?" He looked from his mom to Mingi. "I-I'm d-d-dream-ming."

"No, baby, no. This is real." His mom said, running her hands through his hair. "You look good!"

"M-Mom..." Yunho hugged her again, crying into his shoulder.

By now, the rest of the crew had cleared the deck so the family could have their reunion, Mingi included. He stood off to the side, just watching the scene unfold in front of him with a soft smile on his face.

When Yunho was finally able to let go of his mom, he ran over to his dad and brother, pulling them both into a hug.

"Hey baby brother." Juno whispered into his ear while holding onto him tight.

"Y-You guys look great! Have things b-been good for you?"

"This first few months were hard after you... But we managed to make due." His brother said, exchanging a sad glance with his father. "But that doesn't matter anymore! We are together again." He ruffled Yunho's hair.

Finally Quinn came over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "It's so good to see you again. We really missed you." She smiled, but then stepped away.

Yunho caught her glancing over at Mingi, but he dismissed it when his father motioned for the pirate to join them.

"You found yourself a good man, son." His father clapped Mingi on the back, causing him to blush.

"I did, I really did." Yunho nodded, reaching out to take Mingi's hand. "Come on, we will show you around the island and I can introduce you to my... my other family."

He took his family around, showing them all the hard work that had been put into making Utopia home to everyone that was brought here. They were impressed that they brought people back here instead of keeping the island's secret to themselves. But Yunho told them that Hongjoong wasn't like that and that he was a good man who cared for others.

Eventually, they were able to meet the rest of their crew. They were shocked when they found out that Yeosang was pregnant and Seonghwa had already had a baby himself, but when Yunho explained their theory, they seemed to accept it.

And Aurora took to his mom immediately.

The only one that worried him was Quinn and the way she seemed to look at everyone. But then again, things had been rough for her too so he tried to ignore it. He didn't want his sister to ruin this reunion.

San showed them to the house he had just finished while promising he would expand it for them so they had more room.

When they all said good night after many more hugs and some more crying, Yunho was finally alone with Mingi back in their home.

"Am I forgiven?" Mingi whispered as he kissed Yunho gently, their legs tangled together in their bed.

"Yes. Am I?" Yunho asked quietly. "I said some terrible things."

"Hush, gorgeous. You were upset. I understand. I've been looking for your family for almost a year now, and I had a hunch that the next ocean city we got to would be the one. I know how much you missed them."

"What did I do to deserve you?" Yunho asked, kissing him again.

"You put up with me wanting a piece of ass whenever I wanted it." The pirate smirked, pulling Yunho closer to him as the older smacks his chest. Yunho rolls his eyes before cuddling closer to him.
