"Huh.." You sighed alone, settling your spectacles down on the counter in the toilet. You washed your face thoroughly with a mind in daze.

You gazed at the mirror, revealing your reflection. You were some simple looking nerd, with a love for books. You had no friends to begin with, as people thought that you were an antisocial-type of person.

Even though you were like that, it doesn't mean that you couldn't love. Deep down in your heart, you longed to be beside someone you loved. Who? Gero.

Gero was one of the most popular students in your school. Due to that fact, he would be surrounded with girls almost everyday, everytime. That made you think that it would be impossible for someone like you to be in a relationship with him.

As you stepped out of the toilet, there was a guy, gazing out of the window. Your eyes went big. Surprisingly, it was Gero.

Gero turned to set his eyes on you, who's face had been quite flushed. Suddenly, he started walking towards you and with a gentle smile, he held your small hand.

"___, please go out with me," Those words came out of Gero's mouth easily. You were in a state of shock, with your mind totally blank.

Who am I to go out with him?? You thought to yourself for a split second. You unconciously nodded, making you agree with him.

Your reaction made him stifle a laugh. "Then, that's settled. I'll come by your class after school," he said to you. And with a peck on your cheek, he walked away and disappeared into the crowd of students.

You slowly held your burning red cheek. What is happening!?!? Your inner self screamed. Your legs felt as if they were about to collapse.

As the school bell rang which meant break was over, you slowly forced your wobbly legs to class.

From afar, a pair of eyes, jealousy and hatred were burning her eyes.

"How dare she take Gero away from me..!! I'll take sweet revenge then.." The girl smirked, and walked away with her group of friends towards the same class.

Definitely, trying to pay attention in class right after someone you had admired confessing to you was hard.

Everytime you thought about the incident that happened a few hours ago, you would slowly stroke your cheek, as the lingering heat of the peck Gero gave was still making your heart pound.

You excitedly waited for class to end, as you were about to spend some quality time with Gero!

Suddenly, you felt a crumpled ball of paper been thrown to you. You then took the paper and looked around, only to find some of your classmates sleeping, staring in mid air and paying full attention to the teacher too.

Curious to see what was inside, you opened up the crumpled paper, and there was something written especially for you:

"Come closer with Gero-kun, and bad luck begins, pig."

Your nerve twitched in anger, as someone called you a pig. Well too bad! Gero confessed to me at the first place! You thought with full annoyance.

You then crumpled the paper back angrily and shoved it under your table. Tapping your table to the rhythm of a song in your mind, you then tried your best to concentrate in class.

The final school bell rang, which meant that school had ended. You packed your belongings in a rush and ran out of class, only to find Gero waiting for you.

Blush crept on your face, making your legs feel wobbly back again. Suddenly, your body lost balance and you were about to fall head first. Oh no!!

You closed your eyes, too scared to know what will happen next.

To your surprise, instead of falling on the cold, hard floor, a pair of hands were able to stop you from falling.

"What a clumsy person you are, ___," Gero said with a small chuckle.

"I-I'm sorry, Gero-san... And thank you.." You faced away from the gentleman in front of you, who had saved you from landing on the floor.

To hide your embarrassment, you shifted your glasses that was not at its place.

Suddenly, Gero flicked your forehead.

"Ouch!!" You quickly faced the man in front of you.

"No formalities. Gero." He frowned.

"Okay... Gero-ssa-- Gero." You replied and slowly stood up properly.

Gero smiled and slowly pulled your hand. "Let's go somewhere!!" He happily said.

"Where?" You asked.

"Somewhere," The man grinned.

You kept silent as you both walked out of school, with the both of your hands clasped together. A lot of people stared at the both of you, and whispers were everywhere.

"Is that Gero's girlfriend?"

"She's so plain. I wonder why."

"Ew! She's Gero's girlfriend? Ugly!"

You shut your eyes while your grasp in Gero's hand tightened.

Gero glanced at the uneasy you, who was suffering with the whispers. As your grip tightened, Gero finally realized that you were uncomfortable.

"Hey, ___,"

You looked up at Gero, who had stopped walking. "Y-yes?"

"Close your eyes," He replied in a soft whisper.

"Eh?" You blushed. Why?

"Just do it."

"O-okay then.." You then closed your eyes.

To your surprise, you felt a pair of warm lips on yours. What?

The whispers that were thrown to you turned into screams.

"Kyaah! Gero-kun's so manly!"

"I wish I can be the girl!!"

"Romantic!!"

As Gero broke the kiss, he gave a wide grin at the embarrased you, before continuing his steps towards the school gates with you beside.

Too much things were in your mind. You felt like your eyes were whirling, unable to cope with your new experience.

Without realizing, the both of you stopped at a crepe stall.

"Hmm... which one would you like?" The man asked you while looking at the numerous choices of crepe filling.

"Um... I think I'll take __-fav filling-__" You replied as soon as you found your favourite filling.

"Oh! I like that too!!" Gero smiled and ordered two crepes.

Before heading back home, the both of you spent time at a park, chit-chatting for a bit while enjoying the sweet crepe Gero bought for you. Gero was practically smiling all the time, and he definitely listened to you talking about your daily life.

He really seemed like he cared, and liked you deeply. Well, that was only your feelings.

For the past week, your relationship with Gero had been a topic, especially between the girls. The whole school knew it, and talked about it, almost everytime. You even started receiving hate letters from Gero's fangirls, and they would even put thumbtacks into your school shoes. How cliché they were, you thought to yourself.

You did feel irritated with all of their doings, but you would always calm yourself down and repeated the same line over and over: "Get use to it."

While throwing away the letters, you silently mumbled, "I hope Gero-kun doesn't realize this.."

The next day, as soon as you reached your seat in class, you were in horror to find your table full of trash. Whispers could be heard, and it was undeniably uneasing.

From behind, you heard some chuckles and bursts of laughter from a group of girls. Those girls were certaintly Gero's fangirls.

They stood up from their seats and headed to your table.

"Oh my! Your table looks just like you!" A girl laughed off.

"You must've been bitchy towards Gero-kun, right? That's why he's making you to be her partner, just to shut you up!" Another girl continued, before pushing you to your dirty table.

"Go to hell girl!"

As the fangirls were throwing negative comments towards the now shaky you, a sweet girl ran towards you.

"Stop this!" She demanded with quite a harsh tone. The group silenced for a moment.

The girl then checked on you. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She asked.

You silenced before replying to her.
"Yes, I am okay.. Thank you.."

Before finishing your line, the girl giggled for a moment. Suddenly, she pulled you by your collar. Your spectacles fell to the ground before being crushed by another girl. Falling to the front with your faced pulled to hers, she threatened you.

"Pathetic, aren't you. Break up with Gero-kun this instant."

Your eyes widened, feelings of sadness and remorse mixed up in your mind.

As the girl let you go, you ran straight to the toilet and locked yourself in one of the stalls.

Ever since you've been in a relationship with your beloved Gero, your life changed in an instant. Yes, you were delighted that your love was requited. But these bullying issues definitely brought yourself down.

Now, you were helpless. At the moment, you thought that the only way was to stop the relationship. You shut your eyes while tears streamed down your face.

"God, help me..." You silently wept.

Suddenly, the toilet door banged open, continued by a shout.

"___!! Are you alright?!"

Your tears stopped and you were surprised. Man, why is there a guy in a toi---, you thought for a moment while quickly wiping your tears, before realizing it was Gero who was in the girl's toilet.

"G-Gero?! Why are you here?" You asked, right after exiting the toilet stall.

"You're asking? They were bullying you, and you think I'm okay when you are facing such a hard time!? Why didn't you tell me?" Gero scolded you, his voice mixed up with the tone of guilt.

His eyes were watery and gazed deeply into your eyes. His hands held your sides, as if never letting you go anymore. He was sweating, probably due to running. His face definitely showed that he was terribly worried of you.

He loves me...

--Wait. Is that true? Before answering his questions, you built up your courage to ask him something that would answer everything at once.

"Hey, Gero. Do you love me?" You looked up at Gero.

His eyes widened upon the question. There was a moment of silence, before the male let out a laugh.

"You know what, your eyes have always captured my heart," Gero smiled and slowly closed the gap between the both of you.

He kissed your forehead lightly, before landing another kiss on your eyes. His hands pulled you in for a hug.

"I love you," he whispered lightly into your ear.

Your eyes poured, as this was the first time you felt loved by someone. You hugged Gero back, feeling thankful for meeting someone who loved you for who you are.

"Thank you," the words came out lightly from your mouth, before giving a kiss on the male's cheek.

Suddenly, Gero froze. You were surprised too. "Gero?" You asked. He then looked at you with a wide grin and blushing cheeks.

"That's cheating, you know." Gero grinned. You started blushing too, as it was your first time kissing him.

"I-I'm sorry," you apologized before looking away. Gero then held your face and made you turn to him.

"I liked it though..."

That made you blush harder. Then, Gero tugged your shirt.

"But it wasn't at the right place. Can I have it once more?" Gero asked teasingly, which made you feel like half-exploding into air.

Ugh, you lost. Gero would not even let you go until he gets what he wants.

"J-just once, okay?" You spoke with a trembling voice.

Gero smiled and went closer,

"Well, for now," he said,

before connecting your lips with his.

"We're really sorry, ___. We really thought Gero was playing around with you and you just wanted to be his girlfriend just for fame. Plus, the fact that you are actually his first girlfriend was surprising," said the group leader of Gero's fangirls, who had bullied you.

Before that, Gero had threatened the group of girls to not dare bully her anymore. His tone was really serious, which led to the girls being frightened and really guilty upon their actions.

They then apologized to you, honestly. As one of them held your hands, you could actually feel them trembling with fear.

Deeply in the heart, you terribly felt sorry for them.

"I forgive you," You spoke up to them, with a smile curled up on your face.

Right after hearing your reply, the group then hugged you while continously apologizing to you.

Gero who was quite angry at first let out a laugh at the sight. However, he stopped for a moment and asked:

"Who's gonna buy new glasses for her?"

Everyone froze.

You sighed. Looks like I'll be blind for a while.

"Hey, Gero," You called him out. The both of you were walking back home.

"Yes?" Gero turned to face you.

"What made you like me?"

Gero kept silent for a moment.

"You and your eyes.. Hehe," He laughed.

You laughed with him. "My eyes? Why? Clearly, I'm far-sighted," You continued.

"Well, I definitely know that you never know this, but your eyes show your determination in something. And so, mainly, your hardwork in doing something, makes your eyes gleams and it's something... appealing to me. Well it's hard to put it into words. Let's just say that your eyes make you cute," He winked at you, as soon as he finished.

"Haha, is that so... I feel so happy. Thank you," You smiled and clasped your hands with his.

God, please let our relationship last long. Even if we have many obstacles that may break us apart in the future, please let us overcome them even although it takes a long time... You wished silently, while enjoying your time with Gero to the fullest.
