Haruka bustled out of the bathroom. She was beaming, almost bursting with excitement. Her eyes were bright and wet with happy tears, her smile blinding. Her chest was puffed out and she stood tall. She was clutching something to her chest as she looked around the house.
She resorted to calling his name instead, "Kira!"
The man came in long strides from the kitchen, soapy rubber gloves indicating that he was washing the dishes before he was summoned by his girlfriend.
Haruka stared breathlessly at him for what seemed like an hour, twinkling citrus eyes peering into his golden ones.
"What's wrong?" Kira asked anxiously.
Haruka shook her head before squealing and jumping into his arms. Grunting at the sudden impact, Kira shook the gloves off onto the nearby table and wrapped his arms around her waist, chuckling softly. "Okay, then what's not wrong?"
She stepped away from him and pushed something into his hands. She watched his reaction as she bounced on the balls of her feet. Her grin became impossibly wider when Kira looked up from the item in his hands.
He looked speechless so Haruka just nodded excitedly.
Kira let out a laugh of pure joy and pulled Haruka's head to him with one hand, kissing her forehead.

"Kira," Haruka whined. "Kira, look." She nudged. He reluctantly turned his head to face her, knowing exactly what was going to happen.
Haruka gestured to the young woman standing by the swings, pushing a toddler. The lady was stylish, impeccably so, dressed well in the fall weather. She was also incredibly beautiful with straight, raven-black hair, feline eyes, and a natural air of grace and gentleness about her.
"Isn't she gorgeous?" Haruka asked with a sigh. Kira looked troubled, glancing between the young mother and his girlfriend. "Uhm..." He cleared his dry throat.
"I wish I was as mature as her..." Haruka trailed off. She spun around to look at him. "Do you think she's prettier than me?" Her lip quivered, throwing Kira into a fit of panic. He shook his head quickly, trying to assuage Haruka.
"I didn't say that, Haruka."
Her eyes narrowed at him. Kira frantically threw his arms around her shoulders, effectively diverting her attention from her inferiority complex. Bumping foreheads with her, he reassured her quietly, "You are the most beautiful girl I will ever see."

The heat in their room was stifling. But maybe that was just Kira. He had Haruka nearly in his lap, with a hand on the small of her back, the other cupping her face to keep her close. He had her panting, whimpering for more.
Meshing their lips together with more force, Haruka threaded her fingers through his hair. Kira slipped his tongue between her lips, sparking a battle he quickly won. Haruka moaned softly and snuck a hand under his shirt.
He hissed at the cold contact. Haruka traced his taut torso with her fingers, inching downwards until she got to the band of his jeans. Kira's hand whipped down to grab her's before it could bring him any closer to his release.
Haruka whined. She nestled her head into his neck, whispering, "Please," against his skin. She felt him shiver and smiled at her victory.

"Haruka!" Kira called from the kitchen. "Time to get up!" He heard a groan from their bedroom, then the rustling of the blanket. He smiled, knowing she was hiding under the sheets to escape needing to wake up again.
Setting the pan down, Kira prepared for the battle that would ensue from him trying to pull Haruka out of bed. It's become a daily struggle, but he was getting increasingly good at the tactics.
When he stepped into the room, the first thing he did was throw the curtains open. Haruka hissed in displeasure. Then, he ripped the thick blanket off her barely-clothed form. In only an oversized T-shirt, she flinched at the sudden loss of warmth, curling into a fetal position.
"Food's ready."
Haruka whined, her eyes still firmly shut. "I don't wanna get up! Can't I have breakfast in bed?"
Kira sighed. "You know it'll get everywhere."
"I'll be careful, please!" She groaned into the pillow. "Just this once."
He couldn't help but give in, but just this one time.

Kira brought in her breakfast on a tray, working silently but efficiently as he placed a stool on the bed and served Haruka her food. She looked adoringly up at him, smiling sweetly when he was done.
"Itadakimasu!" Haruka dug into her food, though she tried hard to not scarf it down. It wasn't lady-like and her Oba-san taught her better. But the sweet omelettes were so good, and her miso soup would get cold – so Haruka ate fast and she ate clean.
But when she was finished, she wasn't anywhere near full. In fact, she had a whole menu of things she wouldn't mind eating at the moment.
Catching sight of her dissatisfied face, Kira clued in. "You're still hungry?"
A small pout and sheepish grin on her face, Haruka nodded.
A sigh. "Alright, let's go grocery shopping."

"You're still working?" Kira asked, stepping out of the shower and drying his hair with a towel. "It's getting late."
Haruka had her head buried in her compositions at the desk. Her pencil was scribbling furiously and Kira watched as lines of melodies were cranked out by the second. She'd been sitting in the same position for four hours.
"If I finish this set, I can get the money for these songs and start on the next batch," she mumbled, flipping to the next blank music score.
Kira strolled over and placed his hands on her stiff shoulders, slowly beginning to massage them and work the kinks out. The pencil stopped momentarily, and Haruka's head dropped onto the desk. She let out a moan. "Oh, thank you."
After a moment of relaxation, her head shot up, "No more slacking off!" She slapped her cheeks, bringing color to her pallor. "I have to finish this," she stated firmly, returning her focus to the scores scattered on her desk.
Kira frowned. "Why is this so urgent?"
Haruka stopped composing to face her husband. "Remember when we went all-out shopping that morning because I was hungry?" Kira nodded, knowing where this was going. "Well, we blew almost all our money, and now we're tight on budget. And it's all because I was a selfish glutton." She crossed her arms, determined to work until she got her pay.
"It's okay," he assured. Because it was. His days as an idol got him plenty of excess cash, and although Haruka wasn't okay with living off his money, it could hold them off until she was back in the game.
"No, we need money. Not just for us, but for..." Haruka trailed off, her eyes conveying all Kira needed to know. He smiled empathetically at her.
"Don't overwork yourself. Come to bed." He extended a hand to her.
Haruka looked at him, and back at her work. Her eyes flickered to the compositions once more before she got up and took Kira's hand, interlacing their fingers.

"I can't believe this!" Haruka fumed. "Why won't he let me work?"
She was referring to Saotome, who'd sent home when she showed up for work that morning. She politely left, but when she got home she stormed about indignantly until Kira asked what was wrong.
"Miss Nanami!" Saotome drawled. "So nice to see you this fine morning."
Haruka bowed in greeting. "Yes, good morning Saotome-san."
"But I'm afraid you can't work on this fine morning," he denounced, as dramatically as ever.
Taken aback, she asked, "Is there a reason why?"
"You know plenty well why, Miss Nanami. You must not tax yourself like this in your condition."
Unable to retort against her boss, Haruka closed her mouth and retreated out the door.
"It's not even that big of a deal!" Grumbling, she shuffled over to the couch where Kira was seated and cuddled into his side.
"Yet," Kira corrected. "It's not a big deal yet." He ran his hand through her hair, smoothing it down as he continued, "You were planning on taking another project." He looked at her pointedly.
Pouting, Haruka lowered her eyes in defeat. She was about to come up with another argument, but was interrupted by the stern look Kira gave her.
"It's not good for the baby, you know that."
She softened, unable to find anything to prioritize over the child she was bearing. She had been noticeably more stressed the past week or two. And that wasn't good for the child, so she decided that nothing would be worth the damage. She leaned her head on Kira's shoulder, deep in thought.
Suddenly, Haruka jerked, startling Kira. She gasped, hands resting on the her stomach. She looked at him, eyes wide with wonder and awe. "She kicked!"
A/N: Hey guys, how'd you like the surprise? Some of you may have clued in throughout the fragments, but nonetheless I hope the ending was good! *Try to see if you can figure out which section is which sin*
