I Now Pronounce You: Husband And Husband
Author's Note: This was a request by Minty_Scone_Burger for a wedding ceremony.
IMPORTANT! Alright now that I got your attention (hopefully) if you saw this story when I first came out with it then you may have noticed I changed the title and description. I am now thinking that I'll do more things than fluff or happy things, and I actually have a chapter in progress that is kinda sad (I don't know when it will be out cause unlike requests I don't come out with my own chapters as fast). I want to get better as a writer so I want to write a bit of everything.
Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter! Be sure to tell me what you think and if you see a grammer mistake or something worded weird to tell me so I can fix it. I'm the kind of person that likes no mistakes in my books and is greatful if someone points out what I didn't catch, so please tell me if you see something wrong.
Also, if you have a request or an idea in your mind, then tell me and I'd be happy to do it and as you saw earlier as long as it's UsUk then I'll do whatever it is.

Alfred's eyes shifted around, taking in everything and anything that was around him. There he was, standing under a white archway that had vines and flowers hanging down from it. His eyes wandered from the priest standing to his right, to the groomsmen on his left, before scanning over the people seated in the white wooden chairs infront of him. His gaze would then repeat that path over and over, his eyes shifting around was a nervous habbit he had after all.
"Hey don't be so nervous. Everything's going to be just fine alright," he heard his best man, his brother Matthew, say under his breath. Alfred gave a small nod, one that was unnoticeable to the audience of family and friends before him.
Honestly Alfred hadn't been nervous at all about his wedding, that is, until now when he was actually up here waiting for his fiancé. It was strange and exciting that after today he wouldn't be using that word anymore... at least he hoped so.
Alfred knew Arthur loved him and he loved Arthur just as much too. He was probably just worrying about nothing but thoughts like Arthur saying no to their marriage or, even worse, him not showing up at all, kept plaguing his mind. What if the Brit felt rushed into this and didn't want to go through with it? What if he wasn't ready to be with Alfred in this way? What if-
An elbow in Alfred's side stopped his worried thoughts. "Alfred you're scanning around like you're nervous again. I told you there's no reason to be nervous, we all know Arthur loves you a lot, so there's nothing to fear. Besides look I think the groomsmaids are about to come out," Matthew pointed out.
Because no bride was involved in this wedding everyone called the wedding members that Arthur picked out, groomsmaids. All of the memebers of the wedding who were going to stand behind Arthur were females after all, well... except a certain frenchman who was part of, and practically begged to be, one of the groomsmaids. Even though there was one male who was a member of Arthur's groomsmaids they kept the name at that.
All of a sudden Roderich, one of the couple's friends who volunteered to play the music at the wedding, started to play one of the songs Alfred and Arthur had chosen together to play at their wedding. As soon as the song started all heads in the room turned to look at the groomsmaids who were coming down the aisle to stand in their place. Although what everyone else really wanted to see was the other groom.
All the guests stood and one by one the groomsmaids walked down the aisle and took their respective places. Alfred noticed something strange when Francis walked down though, and no the strange thing wasn't that he too was wearing a pale blue knee-length dress like all the other groomsmaids. No, Alfred knew that Francis would wear the dress, of course he would, he's Francis after all. The thing that caught Alfred's attention was that instead of clutching his small bouquet of flowers normally, he had his thumb up as he held them and a mischievous look in his eye. Although no one noticed it except Alfred, because they were focused on the male's clothes.
"So he really did it," Alfred heard Matthew mutter. Wait did what? Now the blonde was confused what did Francis do or was able to do?
It all made sense to Alfred when he finally saw his love walking towards him. He expected his fiancé to wear a traditional suit or something like that because Arthur was all about stuff that was traditional or old, but he didn't expect this.
There his love was, holding a large boutique of red roses and wearing an actual wedding dress, veil and everything.
Alfred couldn't keep his eyes off Arthur and every step close the other took, Alfred's mind was just getting more and more focused on Arthur and how indescribable he looked right now. To Alfred, Arthur had always been beautiful and perfect in every way but how he looked right now... he just couldn't put it down into words.
When Arthur finally got to his place by his fiancé's side, he smiled so brightly at seeing that happy look he had. Honestly the Brit didn't remember how Francis was able to get him to wear this dress, but he didn't care to remember at the moment, for even though he was embarrassed seeing Alfred's wowed expression made everything alright to Arthur.
The priest cleared his throat and everyone quited down. Arthur handed his bouquet of roses to Francis before placing his hands in Alfred's own opened ones.
Both blondes just stared at eachother, love very much present in their eyes. Both of them had been nervous before, but now that they were staring right at eachother all those fears had left.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join in the...," Alfred couldn't really keep his attention on the priest or the words he was saying, his mind to busy with thoughts of Arthur and the life the two would have together after this. Alfred always knew from the time that he started dating Arthur that he wanted to spend the rest of his days with this Brit. Even if he did have a habbit of burning everything in the kitchen, Alfred loved that and everything about him.
Without even relising it Alfred found himself slipping a silver ring onto one of Arthur's gloved fingers. He waited for the priest before reciting, "I Alfred Jones, with this ring as the proof of my vow promise to be with you and love you always. To have and to hold, though sickness and health, till death do us part."
Alfred could feel his heart swell with happiness at seeing the look in Arthur's eyes as he finished his words. It was a happiness and joy that matched his own. "I Arthur Kirkland, with this ring as the proof of my vow promise to be with you and love you always. To have and to hold, though sickness and health, till death do us part," Arthur repeated, slipping a similar silver ring onto Alfred's finger.
When Arthur looked back up from Alfred's hand, the American could now see that tears were beginning to pool in the other's emerald eyes.
"Alfred, do you accept Arthur's vow to you and do you take him to be your lawfully wedded husband," the priest continued to say.
Without any hesitation Alfred answered a loving smile on his face, "I do."
"And Arthur, do you accept Alfred's vow to you and do you take him be your lawfully wedded husband," the priest continued, now looking at Arthur.
The tears that had been gathering in Arthur's eyes finally fell. He nodded his head, "Yes, yes I do."
"Then I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom." Alfred took a step forward and pulled back the small veil that just barely separated the American from his now husband. Without skipping a beat Arthur leaned in to Alfred, wrapping his arms around his husband's neck, their lips almost touching. Arthur was then suddenly pulled into a dip before being kissed by Alfred.
The whole audience erupted in clapper at the close of the ceremony, some even whistling for the couple.
When the two pulled away tears were still falling from Arthur's eyes, but happy expressions were on both of their faces. The groomsmen and groomsmaids both began to walk back down the aisle.
Arthur wiped away at his tears with his gloved hands before reaching one out for Alfred to grab. Instead though, Alfred picked Arthur up bridal style, surprising the Brit.
"A-alfred let me go," he said embarrassed.
The American just shook his head as he carried his husband. "I can't Arthur. Now that I have you, I don't think I can ever let you go," he responded, making Arthur's face flush once again.
"I swear you're so cheesy sometimes Alfred... but I love that part about you too," he said before leaning up to kiss his husband once more.
They broke apart after a second, both of them saying an "I love you" as the stared at one another. At that moment they both had the same thought in mind: they couldn't wait to start this new chapter of their lives together.
