These were Keiko's words to Jiang Lihua. She was meant to meet her end in the depths of the lake, a pitiful demise she had never wished for. She refused to succumb to such a mundane end and longed for a more meaningful passing. At the very least, she hoped to leave this devil-infested world knowing that her loved ones were safe from its clutches.

Lihua's life had taken a dark and unexpected turn ever since she forged that contract with a devil. She had resigned herself to a life filled with shadows, far removed from the ordinary existence she had once known. It was a life she had never envisioned for herself, and she longed for the simplicity of a mundane ending.

But fate had other plans for her, and those plans came in the form of a foolish boy. This boy, who seemed to bring her both headaches and heartaches with every encounter, somehow managed to worm his way into her heart. She found herself growing attached to him, despite her best efforts to resist.

As she watched him from a distance, her heart ached. He seemed utterly infatuated with her own mother, and that realization stung. She couldn't help but question herself, her desires, and her emotions. Lihua would whisper to herself, her voice filled with self-doubt and confusion:

  What's wrong with me?
  Why can't I just let go?
  I want you to look at me.
  Please. Why won't you look at me?

In the midst of her dark and confusing life, Lihua struggled with tangled emotions and desires, longing for something just beyond her reach.

And Hayakawa Denji was often out of reach, slipping through her fingers like a ghost.

03 ── my oc's ability is almost the same as death, but not so. because they are not the death devil. it's some kind of a doomsday devil. doomsday definition: the day of the Last Judgment, at the end of the world // a time of catastrophic destruction and death // an unpleasant or disastrous destiny. but i promise you, this devil's abilities won't clash with the death devil's, not that i know of. mine is more to luck. and i won't spoil any further, so you have to read to get better understanding.
