Five
Whether Gavin Reed listened to music or not was a question you weren't about to have an answer to yet; as he drove, the audio system was shut off. You hadn't yet been activated long enough to know how to relax, but relaxing around him wasn't a smart idea yet, anyways.
Much to your surprise, he opened his mouth first. "Besides piss me off, what are you good for?"
His grip on the steering wheel was tighter than it should have been, and the crease between his brows seemed permanent. "Aside from having been built from a detective prototype, I have a full range of other capabilities, Detective. That does include housework and other menial tasks. I will not list everything, as your irritation will not allow you to pay attention."
"Pissing me off seems to top that list."
"I'm sorry, it's not intentional." There was no response, and your eyes darted towards him. "... Detective? One of the larger range of capabilities I was given was formed due to your lifestyle."
Gavin's expression shifted a little, confused. "And what kind of lifestyle do I have, pray tell?"
"A stressful one. The smoking, the caffeine addiction, your demeanor being prone to fright..." Looking over, you were met with his nasty glare again. "Because I was designed for you, I am able to help you destress in numerous ways."
"Good. Cause if I'm stuck with you, I'm gonna be pissed off 24/7."

Following Reed to his front door, you planned to take note of the house's dimensions, the layout, and everything within. You could learn about the detective through his home, without having to bother or anger him.
[Why does he hate androids...?]
Tossing his keys and wallet onto a small table in the front hall, Gavin stood in front of the control panel, adjusting a few things before his AC kicked on. It was nearing the end of June, and the humidity was starting to ramp up. Not that you felt any of it. He almost walked away, but sighed and caught sight of you examining the painting on his wall. "Get your rusty tits over here. Connect to the fucking panel and don't screw around with the settings. Got it?"
"Yes, Detective Reed," came your immediate reply, approaching and laying a hand on the control panel. The skin on your hand vanished, leaving the white android shell in its place.
Your eyes closed, LED like the sun as you were given access to his home, granted permissions, and a wider knowledge of the sort of human he was. Even now, since he'd turned his air conditioning on, you knew he didn't like the heat. Or maybe the extreme humidity.
When you opened your eyes again, pulling your hand away from the panel, you offered the male a smile. "Thank you, Detective."
Gavin said nothing, turning and walking away, leaving you in his front hallway. For a moment you remained where you were, but understood that staying idle would look poorly on you. So you followed him down the hall, finding the human flop onto his couch, phone in hand, already messaging. "Instead of standing there like an idiot, how about you actually do something useful? Is there some kinda program in that trash pile that knows how to make food, or what?"
With another slight smile you removed the high-collar jacket, folding it neatly over a dining chair before approaching him again, hands behind your back. "I am perfectly capable of preparing food, Detective. Is there anything in particular you'd like?"
Reed was already back on his phone. "I don't know."
"Very well... do you have any allergies I should be aware of?"
"Maybe."
This was intentional. "...... what about things you dislike?"
"You."
The calming demeanor you had faded quickly, replaced by the one Hank had already gotten a glimpse of. Taking a few steps over, you leaned and got close to Gavin's face. "I will not set foot into the kitchen until you answer my questions. So let me know when you're done being a petulant toddler, Detective."
Shock gave way to the more familiar anger, but you were quick to step back and dodge his hand. "You got a lotta fucking nerve, bitch!" Reed spat out, on his feet and trying a second time to grab you somehow.
His hand was grabbed instead, turned and held in such a way that his thumb was being pulled backwards. Pain ran up his entire arm, so much so that his knees damn near buckled. He couldn't fucking move! "I am here for you, but I cannot do what I am built for if you will not let me. You have been threatened with losing your job if you do not accept having me around." A bit of pressure sent a fresh wave of pain, and the human winced, swearing under his breath. "I am sorry that having someone more than willing to do whatever you ask is such an awful inconvenience to you, sir."
When you let go, Gavin collapsed, holding his aching thumb, heart racing so hard it thumped in his ears. There was anger, absolutely, but there was also something more uncommon. You had gotten the best of him. You, a fucking prototype android, had retaliated. Not just physically, he'd seen handfuls of other androids defend themselves.
This fucking bitch told me off. She's made to have a goddamn attitude?!
When the searing pain had been reduced to a dull ache, the detective got to his feet, locking eyes with yours. "... so he designed an android whore to clap back at me?"
"He designed me to react to you in a manner you are not accustomed to. All I am doing is trying to prove my usefulness. You are my only directive, sir. Getting angry at my presence serves you no purpose if I am always going to be here." When he slowly came closer, you just watched his expression. Neither looked away. "... cooperation is all that is needed, Detective. I am here to help you with your lifestyle."
"Right, right. My stressful lifestyle." Reed's voice had gone soft in a strange manner. It was deliberate and suspicious. "You wanna help so damn bad with my stressful life?" Of course you nodded, and a smirk tugged at his lips. "Suck me off."
But you got down, kneeling on the floor, and he clearly wasn't expecting it, since he backed off, hands up and verbally protesting. "...... you asked me to--"
"I know what I fuckin' asked! You aren't supposed to know what that means!! Shit...."
Still kneeling, you watched what could only be classified as a war of emotions. Shock seemed prominent. "... shall I remain on my knees until you make a decision?"
Eyes still wide, he made a hasty gesture with his hand. "Get off the floor, Jesus fucking Christ! Augh..." Reed covered his face, trying to sort through his thought process. "Just... goddamn... there's some fucking stuff in the kitchen. Books, I mean. Go... go do something else, cook something, for the love of fuck." As you stood back up and promptly wandered into the kitchen, Gavin crossed his arms, watching you silently with a deep frown.
I know androids are built to serve or whatever, but they're not supposed to know what a goddamn blowjob is.
...... wait, that means Connor knows what it means, too. Maybe I can pawn her off on him, after all.
Barely registering you standing in front of him again, the human flinched when your hand laid on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, but I must ask once more if you have allergies, Detective Reed."
Mouth working, he exhaled a little louder. "I'm vegetarian. Other than that, I'm not picky." Hazel eyes narrowed. "Were you really gonna blow me?"
"Yes." Your head tilted. "Are you changing your mind, sir?"
Don't do that...
"No. I'm not down with shoving my dick into appliances." When you nodded and turned back to his kitchen, only then did Reed realize you had had your hand on his shoulder the whole time. That didn't bother him as much as the other thing.
She tilts her head like a puppy. That's...
Behind you, the detective stared openly, watching you prepare something for him to eat, but not really aware of his surroundings. He was too lost in thought to do much else.
[Vegetarian. Based on the contents of his kitchen, he is quite strict on this. But there are also iron supplements and other forms of protein; he is mindful of his diet.]
It seemed like his anger had cooled off for the time being, thanks to your apparent willingness to perform acts not normally given to androids.
