Once Mirio carried Tamaki out of the hell he'd been stuck in, he first brought him to the hospital. The blonde was half happy, half worried about him. Happy that finally, Tamaki was free from Overhaul's grasp, but worried that the mental and physical trauma and pain would be irreversible.

Once submitted to the hospital, the doctors examined Tamaki and ended up putting him to sleep to properly fix him, replacing his kneecap, fixing his knees, cleaning and stitching up his wounds, and rewrapping bandages on the side of his face. This all took hours before Mirio was even allowed in the room. The doctor explained that Tamaki was gonna be stuck in the hospital for at most, a week for his leg bones to be working again. They also explained to the blonde that Tamaki had suffered enough trauma that he would need therapy as soon as he's out of the hospital.

Mirio knew this would probably happen, so he nods and goes to visit his elf, who laid there, staring at the ceiling as his mind relived that horrid nightmare. Tamaki yelped and quickly looked over at Mirio when he felt his boyfriend's hand on his arm. The fact that Tamaki yelped deeply pained Mirio. He moved his hand away and made soft eye contact with his love, "Hey Kitten...you doin okay..?"

"u-um...a little..." Tamaki muttered, shifting a bit so he's laying on his side, facing Mirio a bit better, "...s-sorry..."

"For what, silly? You did nothing wrong."

"n-no...I-I shouldn't have left..."

Mirio's heart stung at those words, to which he responded with his usual smile, "it's fine. If anyone should say sorry, its me..."

"h-huh...?" Tamaki gave his sunshine a questionable look, "wh-what...what do you mean...?"

"I yelled at you, and scared you away...I know it was a tough day, but...I shouldn't have taken it out on you, Tamaki...especially since it was a hard day for both of us..."

Tamaki's ears folded sadly. He didn't want Mirio to feel this way, and it was all because he got kidnapped. 'DAMNIT! wh-why can't I do anything right...?'

"However..." Mirio starts, catching Tamaki's attention, " There is someone I blame and despise more than myself for this, and you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about, Tamaki."

".........m-me...?" he stutters with hesitation

"Wh-what- NO! Chisaki! This is his fault! He's the one who took you and hurt you in more ways than I can count on my hands!"

Tamaki gave him sort of a blank face before a smile barely cracked on his face, then fear as he looked away, his ears folding down. Tamaki was scared, scared that Kai would come for him and kill Mirio, then take him all over again. The thought made Tamaki shiver in fear before muttering, "I-I don't w-w-wanna g-go..."

Mirio gently sat beside him, "Hey, Hey...its okay, Chisaki's in jail. He's not coming out of there for a LONG time. I promise-"

"D-Don't say that!" Tamaki shouted, tears in his eyes before he looked up at Mirio in fear. The last time Mirio promised him something, it wouldn't end well, and Tamaki knew this promise was no exception. "Y-You say...you pr-promise...b-but...y-you break them...o-or at least...i-i don't know, j-just don't..."

Mirio took a minute to realize what he did and quickly apologized to the elf, thinking that it is wise he stops making promises till he fixes the ones he's already made. The two kinda sat there in their thoughts, unsure how to continue or start another conversation with the other. Awkward silence made Tamaki nervous, so he started up another conversation with the basic starter, and the two began chatting like hell didn't occur.

They went at this for an hour before a doctor came and told Mirio he had five till visiting hours were done. Mirio nodded and let out a sigh before petting Tamaki's head a bit, being careful to not startle him. Tamaki slightly flinched, but quickly calmed down when he remembered it's just Mirio. The blondes smile filled Tamaki's heart with warmth as he starts to forget why he was so paranoid. He then went and shyly held Mirio's hand, a small smile reforming on his face before Mirio placed his hand from Tamaki's head to cupping his cheek, causing the elf to blush.

"M-Mirio...?" he muttered, the pink spreading to his ears.

"...Is it okay?" Mirio asked, a reassuring smile releasing Tamaki's worries. Tamaki shyly nodded after a bit of hesitation, Mirio nodding back before slowly leaning forward and locking his lips with the elf gently. This caused Tamaki to squeak a tiny bit before relaxing and wrapping his hanging arms around Mirio's neck. Tamaki felt happiness for the first in a while, his ears twitching in said emotion while the kiss slowly escalated before being broken, both boys left panting and blushing. The elf let go and hid in his hand as Mirio chuckled and hugged his love.

Once again, the doctor came in with a time warning, only this one was one minute left. The boys nod and the doctor waits while Tamaki and Mirio say their goodnight for the night.

"I'll come back tomorrow, okay?"

Tamaki hesitates before nodding, the reunited couple sharing one last kiss before the blonde leaves for the night, even if neither wanted him to go. 

Mirio was escorted out of the hospital, leaving Tamaki in his hospital bed. The elf sighed and figured he should call it a night, laying back down gently before slowly drifting to sleep, a small, real smile left on his face thanks to his hero.

"n-no...g-go away..."

"You can never get rid of me, you know..."

"St-Stop! I-I don't understand, wh-what do you w-want with me so badly?!"

"you wanna know what I want..?"

"..."

"What I want..."

"gh?!"

"is your life.."
