(a/n: just pretend i wrote some magnificent graduation bc 1. idk how to write that shit and 2. idk what happens at a graduation)

"congratulations, chan!" jisung cheered, jumping up and down in front of the older. "i can't believe you actually graduated!"

"your cap and gown looks goofy on you," minho bluntly stated.

"you scare me sometimes but happy graduation, bro!" changbin quickly embraced chan.

"congrats mate," felix said in english as he pat the older on the back like a proud dad, sniffling like he was about to burst into tears.

"have fun being a real adult, i heard it sucks major ass," jeongin evilly grinned and gave him a thumbs up.

"BYE OLD MAN," hyunjin dramatically yelled and fake-sobbed out. "WE'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH AND HOW YOU USED TO ALWAYS PESTER US OVER SCHOOL AND LITERALLY EVERYTHING AND NOW WE CAN BE FREE AND DO WHATEVER THE FUCK WE WANT WITHOUT YOU TELLING—"

"hyunjin what the actual fuck are you talking about," jisung interrupted him, furrowing his eyebrows at the older. "you're acting like he's being sent across the world on a journey like some disney movie or some shit."

chan didn't say anything and then looked at minho and hyunjin in concern before saying thanks to everyone else. "i'm just glad you all showed up. not to be emo or anything, i finally learned what that meant, but none of my family is here because they're all in australia. so, i was gonna be alone..." the older fidgeted with his gown sleeve as all of his friends reassured him.

felix pouted, "it's okay, i definitely understand how it feels being away from your family. at least you have all of us, right?"

"honestly," changbin curtly nodded. "we did fight a shit ton but we made up and all that matters is that we have one another."

jisung slowly shook his head and hit his hand twice to his chest and lifted it up, "y'all are, not gonna lie, my only friends, but you're the realest ones i got."

jeongin side-eyed the older, "you're an idiot."

"god, can i not appreciate my friends?!" jisung scoffed, crossing his arms. "jeez, you're #FAKE #HATER #BULLY #GAY #WAP." he rapped the hashtags as he went on, surprisingly doing it well and that made jeongin shut his fucking mouth.

"#HATER!" minho repeated in the same tone of voice, swaying back and forth like he was the rapping robots in that one party game streamers like jschlatt and ludwig played. i fucking forgot the name of the game but they played it at some point a while back. #trust

"uh, what are you talking about..." changbin trailed off as he looked over at chan and hyunjin who both looked so done. bruh why is hyunjin mad? he's usually the one saying and doing the stupid shit, jeongin thought to himself as the unthinkable then happened.

"why did this conversation turn depressing and then into a fight, i thought we were supposed to be celebrating chan's graduation," hyunjin blurted out, standing in his pregnant woman pose.

"i don't know! jeongin, of course, started—" jisung was abruptly cut off by a feminine sounding voice.

"well, well, well, if isn't my favorite underclassman bang chan!" an unrecognizable voice to jeongin spoke from behind them, causing all seven to turn around to be greeted by two girls he has never seen before in his life. "hi! i know it's been a long time since we've seen each other, but here we are!"

"s-somi?" felix stifled, immediately causing the younger to gaze at him as his expression quickly dropped to a more upset look. "what are you...doing here?" his voice was barley above a whisper, leaving jeongin and everyone else to look at him in concern.

"well, yunjin and i flew in to see all the friends we made when we were year three's graduate!" the blonde girl, who he now knew as somi, obliviously continued on as another taller, blonde girl stood next to her, leading jeongin to assume that was yunjin. "and i also wanted to see my cousin and sister, of course. yunjin's family are all in new york so she came just for me. right, babe?"

"babe?" everyone besides jeongin and felix, exclaimed. "yeah, we're dating! after moving back to new york, we had a lot of more ways to express yourself," yunjin brightly smiled, intertwining hands with somi. "anyways, how's the—"

the black-haired boy quickly tuned out whatever the older girl was about to ask and immediately turned to felix, who was now hyperventilating with a distraught look on his face. "lix? are you okay?" the younger whispered, only for the blonde to slightly shake his head no with tears falling down his cheeks.

"alright, i don't know what's happening, but i'll try my best to help you," jeongin wiped the tears off the older's cheeks and gently grabbed his shaking hand, leading him away from the oblivious group. they stopped under another tree and felix fell to the ground, now full-on sobbing and heavily breathing whilst curled up into a ball.

the black-haired boy panicked and froze for a split-second before immediately sitting next to him and scooting towards the older, hugging him. "felix, i'm so confused right now but please don't cry. it's okay, you're safe with m—" jeongin was cut off as felix suddenly looked up at him and stared, while he stared back.

the younger wondered how he still looked ethereal with those freckles dusted around his face after crying. wow, jeongin was in awe. how did he manage to look that pretty stwait, oh shit. jeongin abruptly launched himself back with a pure red face, startling the older. now aware their faces were way too close, he caught someone approaching from the corner of his eye.

"what the hell is happening?" hyunjin's gaze flickered between the two of them, his arms crossed. "huh? why does felix look like he's been crying?"

the blonde let out a breath, "had a...panic attack."

jeongin's eyes widened, finally realizing something. "you started acting weird when somi appeared out of nowhere, does that have anything to do with her?" he tilted his head at the older, who only slowly nodded.

"why do you care so much jeongin?" hyunjin exasperated. "his personal life has nothing to do with you; you weren't there back then and didn't witness any of it."

the younger stood up, now starting to become confused as to why hyunjin was acting like this, "look, i'm the one who noticed he was freaked out in the first place. i didn't see you trying to help him or calm him down."

"i didn't see him because you ran away with him too quickly! and where we're at now is far away, so we thought you guys got lost!" the older retorted, glaring at the black-haired boy.

jeongin was now starting to become annoyed with whatever shit he was trying to pull, "look, hyunjin, i don't know what you're trying to say here but maybe you should pay more attention to your boyfriend and he wouldn't have been saved by someone else."

"that's what you don't fucking get," hyunjin raised his voice, causing the younger to take a step back. "he's my boyfriend, not yours!"

well, that fucking hurt, jeongin shook off the thought and pushed his sadness aside, hyunjin was clearly pissed about something and he needed to know what it was. "yeah you're right, but why did you storm over here like an angry grandma with a walking cane as if i was hurting felix?"

hyunjin looked taken aback, "well, what else am i supposed to fucking assume when i saw him sitting down and literally crying his eyes out?!"

felix suddenly got up, causing the two fighting boys to pause as he sighed, "just stop, the both of you. i'm sorry i lost my shit back there; it came out of nowhere and i tried to constrain myself, but i guess that didn't work. and yes, jeongin, it was because of somi. every time i see her for some reason, it just reminds me of that day."

"oh—" felix began to walk away, interrupting hyunjin, "no, i don't want to hear anymore, just follow me. they're probably looking for us anyways." both boys then followed behind him like they were lost puppies or some shit. what the hell is happening, the black-haired boy sighed to himself.
