"i mention her and all of a sudden fucking hell breaks loose!" jeongin hissed, slamming his locker door shut. "i don't understand what their problem is with her!"

"um, why are you even talking to me right now?" wonyoung stood to the left of the black-haired boy, her arms crossed. "y'know, talking to your ex while you have a boyfriend isn't a good look—"

"i don't give a shit about your boyfriend that's also my ex-best friend and the one who you cheated on me with," he interrupted her, slowly stepping towards her with his icy tone. "eunchae used to be your best friend, so tell me why everyone fucking hates her."

the dark brown-haired girl pushed him away, looking him up and down in annoyance, "you idiot! did you ever listen to or pay attention to what i said when we dated? she wasn't my best friend, she was one of my close friend's best friend!"

jeongin sat up, suddenly feeling guilty as he bowed his head to her, "i—uh—oh. well, sorry about this whole misunderst—"

the pretty, dark brown-haired girl abruptly grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulling him down to her height, which she wasn't shorter by much at all. their faces were nearly inches apart as he looked at her with wide eyes, while she held a mixed expression that he couldn't quite figure out.

"why are you talking about eunchae all of a sudden? are you trying to find her again? i can tell you the name of my friend who was her best friend, if you so please, innie," she whispered in an almost teasing tone, which left jeongin feeling absolutely horrified that his ex was acting this way again all of a sudden. "why, do you have a crush on her? or even better, did you have a crush on her while we were dating?"

"NO!" the black-haired boy accidentally shouted in her face, or maybe it wasn't an accident because it caused wonyoung to let go. "why the fuck did i come and try to talk to you again? i've already talked to eunchae again and you're still as batshit crazy as before!"

she gave him a disgusted look, "don't ask me that, that's a you problem. i'm also not the one that's trying to ask around about a girl that left years ago during middle school and was just a bitchless, manipulative garbage can." wonyoung rolled her eyes, turning to walk away before stopping and looking over her shoulder at him.

the fuck did she just call her? jeongin gave her a judgmental look. 'a bitchless, manipulative garbage can'?

"this whole conversation would be pointless if i didn't tell you something, so, her best friend's name is kim chaewon. even though you literally just said you found her, have that information," the dark-brown haired girl then practically strutted away, her walk almost as perfect as the rest of her.

jeongin frowned to himself, "that interaction was fucking awful, but at least i know something more about eunchae. and also what wonyoung thinks of her, despite being the exact same thing she called her..." he began to make his way down the hallway to go to his korean class, stepping up the stairs. "well, who am i to judge? i'm just as bitchy as her—oh..."

eunchae stood at the top of the stairwell, covering her mouth with her hand to stifle a laugh, "were you just talking to yourself while walking to our next class?"

"yes..." the black-haired boy trailed off, raising an eyebrow. "is there something wrong with that?"

she shook her head, smiling as they finally made it to their classroom, "nah, i'm just messing around. here, let's go sit down at our table."

jeongin motioned for her to go in first, which the black-haired girl gave him a quick smile as she happily skipped inside the classroom. god, i can't believe minho, felix and now wonyoung don't like her, he thought as he sat down next to the girl, flashing her a smile.

it's kinda funny and ironic because she's basically the female version of felix when i first became friends with him as they both exact the same way...wait a minute. the black-haired boy's smile dropped as he tried to shake off that alarming feeling in the pit of his stomach. shit, it must just be a coincidence, right?
