"How'd you even track us down?" Wooyoung looked angrily at the three men. "Do you really want to trigger a war after everyone tried so hard to maintain peace."

"We have our sources." The one holding San answered. "And we believe it's time undeserving people
like you need to be removed from the picture. What better way than using a weakness." The man said with a crazed smile, pulling San closer.

"It's time to say goodbye." The man said, gesturing to the other behind him. "For now."

Wooyoung, Mingi and Yunho stood frozen as one of the men in the elevator started moving forward to press the basement level button again.

As the man was moving forward, Mingi flicked his hand, letting the darts he had hidden hit two of the men, the one moving forward and the one holding San. The one holding San immediately let go and he started to fiercely scratch at his skin.

San, feeling the grip loosen, pushed himself away from the man, and ran out of the elevator. The two men were gasping, staring pleadingly at Mingi who had already produced a third dart for the last man, but before he could aim it, the elevator door closed.

"Wait fuck!" Mingi exclaimed, running forward, pounding against the closed elevator door.

He turned back to look at Wooyoung holding San in a comforting hug, while Yunho had a dangerously blank look on his face.

"We need to leave. Immediately." Mingi said, taking a hold of Yunho's hand, which to Mingi's anxiety, was completely limp in his hold. Yet he was grateful the blue haired male wasn't pulling away.

Mingi looked at Wooyoung again, who was gently guiding San towards the stairs, so the 4 could leave the area behind.

Once at basement level again, Mingi quickly hugged San and Wooyoung goodbye, and felt a slight tug at his coat. He looked back at San to see him looking worriedly at Yunho who was already seated in Mingi's car.

"Yunho is scared. Terrified. Please, please reassure him and take care of him till I can reach out to him tomorrow." San pleaded, a desperate look in his eyes as he faced Mingi, clutching the taller's coat.

Mingi was taken aback, but quickly passed a reassuring smile to the shorter. He nodded, feeling the tight grip on his coat loosen.

"See you guys later." Mingi smiled at the duo before making his way back to the car. Wooyoung glanced at the retreating car before grabbing San's hand and leading him to his own car.

Once the two had settled down, and were on the road, Wooyoung glances nervously at San, trying to assess what was going on in the blonde's mind. A silence had taken over, not awkward, but not entirely comfortable either. There was a hint of tension looming over them that the silver haired leader was too scared to address.

That is until he heard a soft sniffle.

Wooyoung whipped his head towards San, causing a falter in his smooth driving. He quickly steadied the car, eventually deciding to park on the side of the road.

Once the car had stopped, Wooyoung unbuckled his seatbelt to turn and face San, breath hitching at the tear tracks glistening on the others pale face.

Wooyoung moved closer to gently turn San's face towards himself, taking in the glossy eyes and slightly pink nose. Wooyoung couldn't help but think of how beautiful he looked in that moment.

Letting out a small breath, Wooyoung took San's softer hands into his own, rubbing a soothing thumb over his palm. San grabbed the others hand, lifting it his lips to place a kiss against his palm, making Wooyoung's eyes widen.

"Today was something else wasn't it?" San sent a small smile to the silver head.

Wooyoung returned the smile. "I really am the worst aren't I? Couldn't protect you properly again." Wooyoung looked down sadly at their intertwined hands.

San looked up confused. "But you did protect me."

Now it was Wooyoung's turn to look up confused.

San let out a small giggle. "You did protect me. You didn't let me go. And that's more than enough. I wanted to thank you."

Wooyoung started silently at the blonde, mouth slightly ajar. San stared back with an equally puzzled expression.

"You're too good for me, you know that?" Wooyoung said, voice low.

"Huh?" San managed out before he was pulled into a hug. Felling the other's tense muscles, San soothingly ran a hand over his back, melting into the embrace.

"I'm okay." San whispered, letting the safety of Wooyoung's hold wash over him.

The rest of the drive back was spent in relative silence. Wooyoung dropped San outside his apartment, and left.

While he drove away, Wooyoung finally let his frustration show, knuckles tightening around the steering wheel, teeth gritted.

One of the men who saw San and Yunho got away.
