meet ups

They had exchanged contacts and kept in touch since then. Eventually after a few weeks they met again, and again, and again. Before they knew it, it had become a routine for them to meet atleast once a month, same place, same time.

Chan leaned against the cool railing of the rooftop terrace, the familiar weight of anticipation settling in his stomach. He glanced at his watch – 8:00 PM sharp. Felix was always punctual.

A figure emerged from the shadows, a familiar mop of blonde hair catching the light. Chan grinned, relief washing over him. "You made it!" he called out.

Felix waved, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Wouldn't miss it, would I?" He joined Chan at the railing, the city lights reflecting in his eyes. "So, what's the big news?"

Chan hesitated, a nervous energy bubbling within him. "Well," he began, "it's official. I'm debuting."

Felix's eyes widened. "No way! That's amazing, Chan! When?"

"Soon," Chan replied, a wide smile spreading across his face. "We're still finalizing the details, but we're aiming for sometime in the next few months. We're a seven-member group."

"Seven?" Felix repeated, intrigued. "That's a solid number. What's the group name?"

"Stray Kids," Chan said proudly. "We've been working so hard, Felix. Blood, sweat, and tears, you know?"

Felix chuckled. "I can imagine. What kind of music are you guys going for?"

"A mix of everything," Chan explained. "Hip-hop, R&B, pop, even some rock influences. We want to showcase our versatility, push boundaries."

Felix nodded approvingly. "Sounds awesome. I can't wait to see you guys perform."

They fell into a comfortable silence, the city lights providing a mesmerizing backdrop to their conversation.

"So," Chan asked, breaking the silence, "how's the YG life treating you?"

Felix shrugged. "It's intense, that's for sure. But I'm learning so much. The training is rigorous, the competition is fierce, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. As far as debuting is concerned, YG is being REALLY picky."

"You'll debut soon too, I know it," Chan said confidently. "You have the talent, the charisma, everything you need to succeed."

Felix grinned. "Thanks, Chan. That means a lot coming from you."

"Of course," Chan replied, his smile mirroring Felix's. "We're in this together, remember?"

They continued to talk, their voices mingling with the sounds of the city. Chan shared stories of his fellow trainees, their quirks, their dreams, their struggles. Felix listened intently, his eyes sparkling with interest.

Chan also shared his concern about his leadership qualities and fear of ruining everything or not being "good enough", about carrying the weight of the members' dreams on his shoulders, about not living up to the expectations. Felix had quickly interjected and explained how he would be the best leader and was fit for the role, in turn sharing his concern about not debuting.

As they prepared to leave, Felix turned to Chan, his eyes serious. "This has been... really good, Chan," he said. "Talking to you always makes me feel better."

Chan smiled. "Me too, Felix. You have no idea."

They exchanged a lingering look, the city lights casting a warm glow on their faces.

"I'll see you next month?" Chan asked, his voice tinged with hope.

Felix nodded. "Definitely. Same time, same place?"

Chan grinned. "Wouldn't miss it."
