CHAPTER SEVENTY-ONE: THE WHITE BUFFLO SUITE

Luther was walking down the hallway before he stopped by the Buffalo Suite where the door was opened and he saw Reginald sitting on the white couch.

Luther took a deep breath "Oh, heck" he said quietly before he sigh and push the door more opened causing Reginald to turn his head and look at him "Hey, Dad" Luther said "Krug 1968" Reginald said as he saw Luther holding a bottle of wine in a tub of ice.

"Excellent year" Reginald said "Yeah. One last toast with Sloane before, um...The ice machine was broken on our floor, so I, you know..." Luther said "Hm" Reginald said before looking down at his hands trying to act like he was about to cry, so he could get sympathy from Luther.

"Are you okay?" Luther asked "This is the failure of my life. I sat here staring at centuries wasted all because different me was unkind to his children" Reginald said and Luther put down the tub on a small round table.

"Listen, Dad. It's not that simple, all right? You are so hard to say no to. You know that? But I had to" Luther said "Luther, the universe is tearing itself apart" Reginald said as he stood up and walked over to Luther "Yes, I know, I know, but its' always something, you know?" Luther said as he walked passed Reginald, walking further into the room before stopping in the middle of it.

"I lived my whole life for you. Everything you ever wanted me to do, I did. And I won't anymore" Luther said as he shook his head "Nor should you. You're a remarkable man, Luther. Despite what I put you through, I hope you can forgive me" Reginald said and Luther stared at him in confusing.

"Will you?" Reginald asked as he walked towards Luther before he stopped in front of him "Will you forgive me, son?" he asked.

"Yeah" Luther mumbled "Yeah, yeah of course" he said "Thank you" Reginald said as he hugged Luther.

"I only wish your self-actualisation could have come at a better time for the universe" Reginald said "I...I don't understand" Luther said.

Then the sound of flesh ripping was heard as Reginald pierced through Luther's body with a sharp blue tentacle.

Luther started choking as Reginald pulled away from him and blood ran out of Luther's mouth "Dad..." he choked out.

"There's an old saying, Luther. The best way to bring a family together is at a wedding or a funeral. We tried the one. Now it's time for the other" Reginald said before he tore the tentacle form Luther's chest causing his blood to poured out of his wound.

Luther choked again as he fell down on his knees "Sloane...Sloane..." he whimpered his wife's name.

"I know, I know. Just as you found love. It is a terrible shame. But don't worry. I'll be sure to look after her" Reginald said before he lifted his arm and he slashed Luther across his chest with another sharp tentacle causing Luther's blood to spray into the air.

Luther felled sideways onto the white rug, laying in his own blood that began pooling around him.

You and Five were laying on the bed, looking into each others' eyes.

"This is how I wanted to spend my last day, just laying here looking into your eyes, it made me forget everything, my problems, my pain, even the end of the world" Five said.

"I feel the same way. Laying like here, being this close to you, just looking at you, made me forget all my troubles. You make me feel like I can do anything, we can do anything" you said.

"I know I can do anything, as long as I'm with you. We fight for each other no matter what" he said "No matter what. You know I am with you to the end of the line" you said.

You then moved closer to him before you lay your head on his chest and he began to stroke your back and forward on the side of you head.

You had just said goodbye to, Sloane, Lila, Viktor, Diego, Luther and Klaus and you were now walking down the hallway alone while Five was going to retracing his steps from last night.

The plan was that you would meet with Five so you could be together in the end and go down together, just like you always wanted.

You let out a sigh as you walked down the hallway, but you suddenly stopped when you heard someone gasping.

You turned your head towards the opened door that lead to the Suite and you spotted blood.

"What?" you opened the door more before you enter, and your eyes widened when you saw Luther laying in his own pool of blood on the rug.

You let out a gasp before you rushed into the room and kneeled down to Luther "Luther" you turned him so he was laying on his back. You then put your hands on the cut on his chest causing your hands to get covered in blood "LUTHER!" you shouted with tears in your eyes. "Y/n...Run..." he mumbled before he stopped breathing "Luther" you said as you shook him.

"Such a shame" a voice said and you turned to see Reginald "Did you do this" you asked "I had no choice, and it wouldn't have happen if you have just had taken my deal" he said "You are a monster" you cried out.

"Now Y/n Hargreeves, do you care to take my deal again. This is your last chance" Reginald said and you looked at him, rage in your eyes "No. I'm gonna made you pay for this" you said as you gently put Luther's head back down on the rug.

"I promised myself no more killing, but for you I will an excuse" you said.

But when you strike at him, just as fast you ran towards him, Reginald raised his arm.

A small scram tore from your lungs as your flesh from your right thigh and to your left side of your torso was sliced open a bit.

You stumbled back, breathing fast and heavy as you kept your eyes on Reginald while you put your left hand on the cut as blood was pouring out.

"I have no choice, Y/n. I could kill you" Reginald said as he took a step closer to you "I wonder how your husband will react when he see his wife's lifeless body in here, will the pain of losing you, the one that have always being by his side, making him bitter and rageful so he just want to go in on the other side, 'cause he think that the guardian killed you. So he want to revenge you and fight for the chance that resetting the universe will get you back. 'Cause if I kill you, I think I will regain back control of whole two Academys" Reginald said and you took a step back.

"I'm not gonna beg for my life, so if you want to kill me, get it over with, you fucking heartless monster!" you snapped and Reginald took another step closer to you "Monster, you say" he said before he slid a finger down your cheek.

"Tempting, really tempting" he said and you closed your eyes, waiting for him to kill you. "I'm sorry Five, I love you. Goodbye" you whispered.

"But I'm not gonna do that" he said as he took a step away from you and you opened your eyes.

"Take that as a warning. Keep your mouth shut or you and everyone you love will end like Luther" he said "Why would I help you?" you asked "Because I just spared your life" he said.

You looked at Luther, you didn't wanted to help Reginald, especially after what he just did.

But if you died right here with Luther. Five and the rest of the family wouldn't know what really happen and Reginald would be luring them into a trap. He would be able to control whole two Academy's. He would be able to control Five and Sloane cause they would be rageful and bitter in getting revenge over the one that killed the people they love the most. And when people's emotions are high, like when they are really angry and sad, they sometimes don't think before they act.

You were the only witness but you knew that you couldn't say anything now and you were sure that not everyone would believe you so it would have being your words against his. And also, you couldn't leave Five like that, he deserve a proper goodbye.

"Okay" you said with a nod "So you are saying yes to the deal?" he asked "Yeah, I will help you" you said "It was a wise choice. Tell anyone about this and I will Five and the others, and you will be all alone" he said before he walked over to the secret door and opened it a bit before leaving the suite.

When he was out of sight, you fell down on your knees next to Luther, making it look like you and Luther was attacked by this guardian and that Luther had die protecting you while you had survived.

Then Sloane enter the Suite and she froze over the sight. Tears running down from her eyes. She looked at her husband's dead body before she looked at you as Allison enter.

Sloane screamed in horror as her hand flew to her mouth before she ran over to Luther and fell to her knees.

"What happened?" Sloane asked "We saw the door was open and I heard something and wanted to check it out, Luther decided to go with me....'Cause he want to made sure that I didn't get hurt....I'm so sorry" you said "So is your fault" Allison said "No" you said as you shook your head before you looked back at Sloane.

"Sloane. I didn't do this, you have to believe me" you said "Shut up" Sloane snapped at you before she with her powers lifted you up in the air "Please Sloane, it was not me. I'm so sorry" you said before she just threw you into a fall causing you to grunt in pain before falling to the floor.

Five was holding a huge bowl of cereal as he was walking down the hallway.

"Hey" a voice said and Five turned around to see Viktor walking towards him "Hey" he said "Where is Y/n?" Viktor asked "I don't know, she told me she would meet me here" Five said "So what are you doing?" Viktor asked "I'm eating cereal. Retracing my steps " Five said "Why?" Viktor asked "The old man is hiding something" Five said "Yeah, feels like there's a lot of that's going around" Viktor said and Five looked at him "What do you mean?" he asked "Allison apologized to me" Viktor said "Okay, and that suspicious, how?" Five asked "Last night she was ready to go ten round with me at the wedding, and this morning it's all family and Dad and love. I don't know. Something must have happen" Viktor said.

When he said that, Five's eyes widened before he froze and he dropped the bowl with cereal as the sight from last night came back to him and he now remember who it was he saw talking to Reginald.

It was Allison.

"Five! Five! What?" Viktor calls out to his frozen brother.

"It's Allison" Five said "What is?" Viktor asked "I have to find Y/n, she is in danger, I can feel it" Five said.

Then suddenly they heard Sloane screaming "NO!" she screamed and the two rushed towards the scream.

Everyone rushed into the White Buffalo Suite to see Luther's head on Sloane's lap who was crying over his dead body. He had a huge cut by his stomach as he was laying in his own pool of blood.

Sloane was looking down at Luther with grief while she was crying hysterically over the death of her husband.

"Oh, my God, Luther" Viktor said as him and Five entered the room.

Five's eyes felled on you "LOVE" he said as he stepped around his dead brother to his wife who was laying on the floor with your eyes closed.

"Y/N!" he shouted again as he shook you a bit to get you to open her eyes.

"Y/n, open your eyes, please, don't you leave me" tears was running down from his eyes "My Angel" he said as he put your face in his hands.

Then you opened your eyes slowly "Five..." you said before him and Lila helped you sit up and Lila quickly grabbed something in the Suite that she could use for the cuts.

"Little sis" Klaus rushed over to you before he help Five and Lila with your cut.  

"Who did this?" Five asked furious while Lila rushed back with a towel and Five pulled up his pocket knife before he started cutting a part of the towel off fast.

"If we tie it here" Lila said and pointed at the huge cut "It will stop the blood" she said "It's not that deep" you said "Yeah, it is, it went right through and if we don't tie it you will die of blood loss" Lila said and Five tied the towel around your shoulder while Lila wipe the blood off your forehead with the rest of the towel "It doesn't hurt" you said dizzy "Yeah, it does, so stop" Lila said as Five tighten the towel.

Five then grab your jacket before he wrapped it around the cut while you were holding your left arm against the cut on your left side.

"What happened?" Five asked while he crouched down in front of you as his eyes landed on you who had tears falling down from your eyes.

"He went to get ice. I couldn't--" Sloane said, crying "He didn't come back. I...I don't know" she said, weeping while Five pulled your head into his chest, rubbing his hand over your back to try and comfort you while everyone else was looking at Luther's dead body with tears in their eyes.

"It was the guardian. I'm so sorry. It's my fault. He died to keep me safe" you cried.

"I didn't do this" you said as you shook your head "I'm telling you the truth, Five, you have to believe me. I didn't do this" you said, your voice was cracking.

This was the first time, you have broken down like that in front of people.

"Shh, it's okay" he said as he put your face in his hands "I believe you and I always will believe you, in every universe and timeline. You don't ever have to doubt that" he said as he stroke his thumb down your cheek "I know you didn't do this, 'cause that is not who you are. You would never kill Luther, our own brother. It's my fault, I shouldn't have let you out of my sight" he said "It's okay, you couldn't have know" you said before you grits your teeth in pain.

"What happen?" Five asked "Luther and I saw the door open. We heard a sound and I wanted to go in and check it and Luther went with me and then....He died protecting me" you cried "Why would you go in there?" Five asked and you looked away from him. You knew that he know you well enough to know that you would never go in to check a place when you hear a noise.

Lila looked at the secret door with the symbols on to see that it was a little bit open "She's right it must have been him. The guardian" she said "She's right" Diego said as he crouched down to look at Luther's body "Whatever did this had a long curved blade" Diego said as he was looking at the wounds.

"How...How can you be sure?" Viktor asked, stuttering "I don't know much, but I know knives" Diego answered also stuttering as his eyes was filled with tears.

They were all trying to hold back their tears and not breaking down crying.

"Children, what's going on" Reginald said as he entered the room but gasps when he saw Luther's dead body "Oh God! Luther" he said.

As soon as Reginald enter the room, Five felt you tense under his hold while you started shaking, like you were scared and Five had never seeing you so scared before.

Five looked over his shoulder to look at Reginald and he now knew that Reginald had something to do with the attack otherwise you wouldn't be shaking this much right now.

"If we attacked first, he would still be alive" Ben said as Sloane kept crying.

Allison looked from you to Reginald. Allison had made a deal with Reginald and she had a feeling that Reginald had murdered Luther and attacked you to begin his plan.

Then suddenly the whole place started shaking causing everyone to gasp as the sound of explosion booms was heard outside.

Five tightened his grip on you as the explosions went off making sure you didn't get hurt.

Ben looked out the room to see the Kugelblitz coming closer, absorbing everything. "G-Guys? Hey, guys!" he said before walking back into the room while Five, Lila and Kaus helped you to your feet "Leave me" you said "Never" Five said and while Lila and Klaus held you by the shoulders gently as Five let your side for a second to run over to the door.

"What are we gonna do with Luther?" Sloane asked "Okay, we're out of time! The Kugelblitz is here" Five said as he ran over to you "I got her" he told Lila and Klaus who nodded and let go.

"Just leave me, I will just slowly you down" you said "Never going to happen" Five said as he wrapped your right arm around his shoulders before he grabbed your left wrist with his left hand while Diego grabbed a harpoon rifle that was hanging on the wall.

"Into the passage!" Reginald said as he ran over to the door "It's the only way" he said "Lila!" Five called out and Lila looked at him "Take her" Five said and she nodded before she rushed over and took Five's place.

"I will get her to the other side" Lila said and Five nodded "No, I'm not leaving you" you said as you push Lila away from you "You have to go" Five said "Not without you" you said "I'll be right behind you" Five said as he put your face in his hands "I promise, I will" he said "You better be" you said before Lila put your right arm around her shoulders and the two of you enter the passage.

"You agree to stay" Viktor told Diego who was on his way to the passage "They killed Luther and they hurt Y/n, all right?" Diego said before he walked into the passage.

"Come on, children! Hurry" Reginald said "We can't leave him" Sloane said as Allison try to pull her up while Viktor entered the passage "We go now, or we're gonna die" Allison said "No. God" Sloane said "Yes, yes. We have to go!" Allison said as she was trying to pull her up "Come on" she said "Hurry" Klaus said and Sloane stared down at Luther for a moment before she gave him one last kiss.

"Children! Hurry, please" Reginald said "Come on" Allison said as she pulled Sloane up before dragging her with her into the passage "Go, go, go!" Reginald said as the two entered.

Klaus then ran over to Five before he grabbed his arm "Come on! What are you waiting for?" he asked while Five glared at Reginald "This isn't over! And you stay away from my wife, you got it!" he shouted before he entered the passage.

"Get in the tunnel!" Klaus said as he ran over to the tunnel but Reginald stopped him "What! What are you doing?" Klaus asked "You've done a fine job bringing me back into the family fold. You're just more trouble than you're worth. Sorry, Klaus" Reginald said before he push him backward "No, Dad!" Klaus said as he felled to the floor while Reginald closed the door.

"NOO!" Klaus shouted as he got up before he tried to opened the door but it was lock.

You blocked out the bright light that burned your eyes as you limp through the long passage, only glancing over your should two times in search for Five who promised that he would right behind you.

Lila kicked the door opened at the other end of the passage before her, you and Ben entered.

"Let's never do that again" Viktor said as he was panting "I agree with you there, bro" you said "What, narrowly escapes the apocalypse?" Five asked sarcastically "For the third time" you said and Five walked over to you "I got her" he said to Lila who nodded before she carefully let go of you and Five wrapped your right arm around his shoulders before he grabbed your right wrist with his left hand.

"It's kind of our thing, isn't it" Diego said as he scanned the room while Lila poked her head out into the hallways, checking for the guardian.

"Not a good thing" you said "There's something very wrong about that" Allison said as she was looking at the buffalo's ass which hung up on the wall.

You unwrapped you jacket which was covered in blood off your cut before you threw it on the floor.

Lila found a small towel before she rushed back to you "It's not very big" Lila said "Then is good, this will help" Five said before he pulled up his pocket knife and rip a piece of his shirt off before the two connected the towel and the shirt.

"If we tie it the same place and little more up" Lila pointed at the huge cut "It will stop the bleeding" she said "It's okay" you said "No it's not. I should have being here" Five said while him and Lila tied the towel and shirt around cut thigh, so you wouldn't bleed out.

Then Reginald came through the passage before he closed the door to the tunnel "At last, on the other side" he said out of breath as he stood with his back up against the door.

As soon as Reginald enter your whole body started shaking again before you looked away from him which Five noticed.

"Wait. Where's Klaus?" Viktor asked "Children, I'm sorry, but your brother...I did all I could, but he didn't make it through in time. The Kugelblitz has claimed its last victim" Reginald said "No" you said as tears was showed in your eyes.

"No, he was right behind me when I enter the tunnel" Five said "We need to go back" Sloane said as she took a step towards Reginald.

"There's nothing to go back to. Children, there will be time for tears later. Right now, we have to keep moving" Reginald said "No, we need to get rid of the threat. WHICH IS HIM!" you snapped as you pointed at Reginald but then you groan from the pain in your shoulder.

"Not a good idea" Lila said before she pointed on you.

"Y/n's side is bleeding bad and even so we had tied the cut. She still need to rest" she said "We have no time. She comes with us or she stays here" Reginald before walking out of the room.

"I'm fine" you said and Lila looked at you. Neither her or Five was fooled by your words.

"Wait. Luther and Klaus?" Viktor asked and the siblings all looked down, mourning over the death of two members of their family.

You felled to your knees with tears falling from your eyes. Five kneeled down next to you, wrapping his arms around you, hugging you tight.

Five pulled you closer to him, while you continue crying quietly as you turned your head before pressing it against Five's chest and he hugged you tighter while two tears felled from his eyes.
