CHAPTER SEVEN: THE DOUGHUT CAFÉ

"So what now?" you asked as you and Five enter the kitchen "I don't know about you, but I need coffee" he said before he looked at you "And it's good I'm married to one who makes amazing coffee" you smiled as you chuckled "You would die without me" you said "I would. I mean we have always being together, every since we learn how to walk we have always being near one another, always by each other's side. 58 years have we know and being together" he said "Sometimes I wonder how I was even able to handle you for that long" you said.

"You know that you love me" he grab your hand "Do I know that?" you thought for a bit "Yeah" you looked at him "Yeah I do" he smiled before he pulled you closer, grabbing your face in his hands.

But then the sound of footsteps was heard "There you two are" a voice said causing the two of you to pull away before you looked towards the voice to see Klaus entering the kitchen, holding a guitar.

"Did I interrupt something, were you two about to do it?" he asked and you both raised a brow at him "You were, that is so naughty" he said with a smile "No, we were not about to do it" Five said.

"Come, let's try finding come coffee" you said and Five nodded before the two of you started searching for coffee.

"I can't believe that you two got married, but I'm so happy for you" Klaus said "It was either marrying Five or a mannequin and that was many times where we consider it" you said "You were no better either Love" Five said "I know" you said.   

"If you guys are married, why are you not wearing a wedding ring?" Klaus asked "Couldn't find one" Five said "Beside Five gave me something better" you said "What?" Klaus asked and you lifted up your hand where the handmade ring was.

The ring was made out of small branches and in the middle was there a beautiful bright dark green crystal stone. The branches was wrapped around the stone, so it didn't fall off. Five knew that green was one of your favorite colors. 

"It's beautiful" Klaus said as he looked at the ring "Thanks" you said "But why didn't he get you a real one?" Klaus asked "'Cause I didn't wanted a real one, beside it's thought that count" you said.

"So is he good in bed?" Klaus asked "You haven't changed a bit Klaus" you said before you turned around to help Five find coffee.

"Where's Vanya?" Allison asked as she entered the kitchen "Oh, she's gone" Klaus said.

"Found anything?" Five asked you and you shook your head "Nope" you said "That's unfortunate" he said "Yeah" Allison said, thinking that he meant Vanya.

"An entire square block" you said "Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but no, not a single drop of coffee" Five said "Dad hated caffeine" Allison said "Well, he hated children, too, and he had plenty of us" Klaus said and let out a small laugh "True" you said before you looked at Five.

"So what now?" you asked "We're taking the car" Five said "Where are you lovebirds going?" Klaus asked as he leaned forward in his chair "To get a decent cup of coffee" Five said "Do you two even know how to drive?" Allison asked "We know how to do everything" you replied before Five grabbed your hand and blinked you away.

"I feel like we should try and stop them, but then again, I also just kinda want to see what happens" Klaus said.

"All right, I guess I'll see you guys in what, ten years? When Pogo dies?" Diego said as he walked into the kitchen "Not if you die first" Allison said "Yeah, love you too, sis. Good luck on your next film. Hope it turns out better than your marriage, huh?" Diego said and took a bite of some food that was standing on the table before he walked towards the exit again.

"Are--Are we leaving?" Klaus asked Diego "No, I'm leaving, by myself" Diego said "Oh, fabulous! I'll get my things" Klaus said and turned around as Allison left the kitchen.

"Are you sure that you should drive?" you asked as you and Five was sitting in the car.

"Are you doubting me?" Five asked "It's just, remember that we crash the first time you got behind the wheel?" she asked "That was many years ago. Also my first time behind the wheel, beside you know that I have become better" he said "I know" you said as you put your seat belt on "I also do remember that you almost broke my nose when you punched me in the face that day" he said "You crashed the car, almost killing us. You deserved it" you said "Touché" he said before you both chuckled.

Five stopped the car by a place called Griddy's Doughnuts.

As soon as Five stepped out of the car, he blinked over to the other side before he opened the door for you "You know that I can do it myself?" you asked as you got out "I know, but can't I be a gentleman to my lady?" he asked "You know that I hate it sometimes, but thank you" you said as he closed the door.

You then looked at the sign above the diner 'Griddy's Doughnuts'

Both you and Five walked over to the place "Of course you would choose this place" you said "Do you remember when we used to come here with the others?" he asked "Of course I do, those moments I felt like a normal kid" you said and as Five pushed the door to open it before he opened the door wide for you as you enter the diner.

When you both walked in, you looked around the diner. You remember that you, Five and your siblings used to meet up on nights after missions and sneak out of the house to go to Griddy's together.

The diner was almost empty, except for a single man that got up and walked out the door.

You and Five sat down by the counter and Five impatiently hit on the bell that was in front of him. "Where is everyone?" he asked "Calm down Five, they are probably busy, someone will come" you said.

Then the door opened and a man entered the Café before taking a seat next to Five.

The man had a yellow and black plaid shirt on underneath a puffy vest. He wore jeans and boots.

The man exhales deeply before he looked down at the menu he was holding in his hand. Five looked up and down at the man before he sighed as he looked down at his hands that were clasped together on the counter while you looked down at your fingers.

The sound of dished clattering was heard before the door to the back opened and an older woman in a pink uniform walked out before she approached you three.

You noticed that the name Agnes was written on her uniform.

"Sorry, sink was clogged" she said and chuckled "So, what'll it be?" she asked as she pulled out a pen and a small notepad out of her apron before looking at the man next to Five.

"Uh, give me a chocolate éclair" the man said "Mm-hmm. Sure" Agnes said and wrote it down before she looked at you and Five.

"Can I get the kids a glass of milk or something?" she asked as she looked back at the man, thinking that it was his kids which cause you and Five to scoffs.

You both have to get used to be in this body again and be used to that people see a kid and not an adult.

"The kids want coffee" you said "Black" Five said and Agnes looked at Five with widened eyes for a few seconds before she looked back at the man "Cute kids" Agnes said and chuckled before she looked back at Five who gave her a fake but a little creepy smile which cause you to let out a small chuckled.

You and Five didn't care what people say or think about the two of you, there wasn't a part that the other didn't love.

"Okay" Agnes said sounding a little uncomfortable before she turned away to get the order.

Five let out a sigh while you looked around in the diner before you grabbed Five's right hand and started playing with his fingers, you two always used to play with each other's fingers when you were sitting together.

Five turned his head to look at you and he smiled when he saw you interlacing your fingers with his.

The two of you let out a sigh "Don't remember this place being such a shithole" Five started "We used to come here as kids" you said "Yeah, we used to sneak out with our brothers and sisters and eat doughnuts till we puked" Five said "It was simpler times" you said as the two of you thought back to those moments "I supposed" the man said.

You let out a yawn before you rested your head on Five's right shoulder.

"You okay?" he asked "Yeah, just have not had a good night sleep for some time" you said and he kissed your head.

Agnes cleaned her throat "Here" she said as she put down your mug of coffee before giving the other mug to Five.

"Here drink your coffee" Five said and you nodded before you lifted your head and took a sip of your coffee.

"I got his" the man said as Agnes handing him his order "Thanks" Five said "And his sister" he said as he took some money up from his wallet while Agnes handing him his order.

"I hate that some people think that we are related" you said "We are" Five said "Not by blood" you said before you looked at him "If you feel weird about us two, you are more than welcome to fill for a divorce" you said "No, never" he shook his head.

"Are you two married?" the man asked and the two of you looked at him "Yeah" you said "You look a bit too young" the man said "We are older than we look" Five said and he nodded. 

You looked at the man "We are not related, we are a couple" you said "Sorry, then I also got for his girlfriend" the man said as he handed the money to Agens "Thanks" you said as the two of you looked at the man and you noticed his work clothes.

"You must know your way around the city" you started "I hope so. I've veen driving it for 20 years" the man said "Good. We need an address" Five said.

The man gave Five an address to a place before he left.

Five folded the napkin where the address was on and put it in his blazer's pocket.

The two of you were about to take another sip of your coffee when you spotted in the bell's mirror a bunch of armed men all in black, walking into the diner.

You looked at your husband who was already looking at he and it was like you were communicating with your eyes.

"It seems like they found us already" you said "Yeah" he nodded as the men all pointed their guns on you and Five.

You and Five sighed as Five put his hands out on the counter in front of him. The coffee mug sat between his hands while you brought your mug up to your mouth, taking a small sip of it before you sat the mug back down on the counter.

"Hmm. That was fast" Five said as they were both sitting calm while the guns were pointing at the two of you "We though we would have more time before they found us" you said.

"Okay. So let's all be professional about this, yeah?" said the leader "Professional, you are the one with the gun" you said.

"On your feet and come with us. They want to talk with both of you" one of the men said "You could shoot us. We still wouldn't talk" you said "You heard the lady" Five said as he was looking down at his hands.

"They want to talk, but I don't. Because I've got nothing to say" Five said before he looked at you "What about you Love, do you have something to say to them?" he asked "No. I've nothing to say so piss off" you answered.

"It doesn't have to go this way" the guy said "Oh, but it does" you said "You think I want to shoot two kids?" the guy said "Five, honey. How do we respond to that?" you asked "Nothing" Five said.

"Do you two really think I wouldn't shoot you. Go home with that on my conscience?" the guy asked "Well, the things is. You are not going home tonigth" you said "Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that" Five said "You won't be going home" you said.

"You ready?" Five whispered to his wife "I have being looking forward for this moment" you smiled.

You slowly grabbed a butter knife that was laying next to your hand while Five slowly grabbed another butter knife and at the same time the two turned around, Five blinked away, appearing behind the guy, stabbing him in the neck causing him to shoot one of his men while the others took cover while you grab your mug while you turned around and smash the mug at the guy's face causing the mug to shattered across the room and on the man's face and he scream in pain from the heat and the piece of the mug that had hit his face.

You then stabbed the guy in the eye with the butter knife causing him to scream in pain as she push him down on the floor, and as he felled down to the floor, he pulled the trigger making the bullets hits the lights on the ceiling causing them to start flickering.

You pushed the knife farther into the man's eyeball making it reach his brain.

You then looked up to see that one of the men was pointing his gun at you but you pulled the knife out of the dead guy's eye before throwing it at the man, hitting him right in the throat causing him to let out a grunt before he felled backward and he started choking in his own blood.

The lights continued to flicker as Five appeared over by a small table "Hey, assholes!" he shouted and the men turned to him before they started shooting but Five reach to blink again.

The guys stopped shooting and started looking around when you came running towards one of the men.

You jumped up on his back and grabbed the man's jaw and the back of his head before snapping his neck causing the man to fall down on the floor.

Then Five appeared just outside the door peaking through the window.

Five knocked on the window causing one of the guys to turn around and Five lifted two of his fingers to his head, saluting him while smiling fakely at the guy.

The guy pulled the trigger but Five reach to blink away again and the guy stepped closer to the door, but then you grabbed a broom and broke it before you stabbed the guy on the side causing him to scream in pain.

You then threw the boom to Five who grabbed it before he stabbed another guy with it causing him to scream in pain.

You then grab a pencil before stabbing a guy in the eye with it. Killing him.

The others turned to point their guns at you, but you slid down before cutting one of the guy's leg with the dagger causing him to grunt in pain as he felled to his knees.

You then stabbed the dagger right through the guy's chest.

"Get the girl" one of the men said as he pointed his gun at you but then Five appeared behind him before wrapping his tie around the guy's neck "Don't you dare put your filthy hands on her" he said as he pulled him down so his back hit a table, causing him to grunt and Five started to choke him, causing the guy to groan while trying to breathe.

Another guy pointed his gun at Five but he grabbed a pencil before stabbing the guy between his leg causing him to grunt in pain as he felled to his knees.

Another guy pointed his gun at Five but then you kicked him in the leg causing the guy to fall on his knees and you then wrapped your legs around his throat before you started strangle him with your legs.

Another guy turned towards you but while still holding on to the pencil that was still in the guy, Five grabbed a plate that was laying on the table next to him before throwing it at the guy, hitting him in the face.

"Thanks Honey" you said "Anytime Love" Five said before taking the pencil out of the guy, stabbing him in the eye causing him to scream before he fell dead on the floor.

The man that you had your legs wrapped around stopped breathing and you snapped his neck with your legs before you got up.

Then another man grab you, but you grab his wrist tights and use your powers which cause him to start grunting as he felt his stamina being taken from him.

While grunting, the man fell on his knees while you were still holding a tight grip on his wrist before you snapped his neck. 

Both you and Five never showed mercy or hesitation to your enemies simply giving them swift painful death. You are both vicious when engaged in combat, giving your enemies slowly, brutal and vicious death but also quick and efficient death.

No one stood a chance against you and Five. Together you were invincible, no one could match with the two of you.

Then two of the last men got up, one on each side and Five quickly grabbed your hand before the two of you ran towards the counter as the men lifted their weapons.

You and Five went in front of the two men and as they started shooting, Five blinked out of the way taking you with him.

The two men who was standing directly in front each other, hit each other causing them both to fell to the floor with a scream and a grunt.

You and Five appeared next to the man that Five had strangled with his tie before he let go of his wife's hand.

Five sighed and grabbed his tie from the man's neck, before putting it around his own neck.

He then walked over to you "You got a little something" he said before he wipe some blood off your cheek "Thanks, so do you" you said before you wipe some blood off his chin.

Then you adjusted the tie better and tighten it. You then folded the collar of his shirt back down and patted his shoulder which cause him to smile.

"Have I ever told you how hot you look when you are killing?" you asked "Yeah, you have and you look just as hot" he said and you smiled before you leaned closer.

But as you were about to kiss you heard the sound of two men grunting and the two of you sent sent each other a nod before walking over to each men.  

Five put his feet on both side of the man's head, grabbing the man's chin and hair before he snapped his neck.

He then turned to look at you who put both your feet on both side of her target's head before you bend down a little bit, grabbing the man's chin and hair before he snapped his neck.

You then spotted a small device on the floor next to the guy "Honey, look at what I found" you picked up the device and Five walked over to you "It seems like they were tracking us" you said as you saw two red dots on the green screen.

"Let's take them out" Five said and you nodded before you both walked over to sit on the counter.

You both rolled up your sleeves before Five grab a butter knife "Let me" you said and grabbed his right arm before you grabbed the knife "Ready?" you asked and he nodded.

You then took a deep breath before you slowly began cutting into Five's arm causing him to let out a grunt "Sorry" you said "It's okay" he said as blood began to come out from the cut that only grew deeper and wider as you continue to press down.

You then put the knife down on the counter before you dug your fingers into the opened wound causing Five to start groaned.

Your finger followed the muscle and moved through the blood until you found the tracker and you pulled out a small blinking chip that kept beeping.

"It's out" you said "Good" he said before he grabbed the knife "Your turn" he said as he grabbed your forearm, his fingers on one hand wrapped firmly around your wrist, holding it still as he prepared to cut your arm up "Ready?" he asked and you nodded.

Five then took a deep breath before he slowly began cutting into your arm causing you to let out a grunt as blood began to come out from the cut that only grew deeper and wider as you continue to press down.

He then put the knife down on the counter before he dug his fingers into the opened wound causing you to start groaned.

His finger followed the muscle and moved through the blood until he found the tracker and he pulled out a small blinking chip that kept beeping.

"It's out" he said "Good, let's get out of here" you said and Five nodded before the two of you got up and walked out of the diner.

You and Five threw the chip on the ground "Good luck tracking us now, assholes" you said as Five fix his tie while the two of you walked away from the diner.

"So what now?" you asked as they got into the car "Let's talk with Vanya" Five said "Good idea, 'cause if there is anyone of our siblings that will listen, it's Vanya" you said and Five started the car.

---

It didn't take long before you and Five arrived at Vanya's apartment and he blinked you both into the building before you both sat down on a chair each that was next to each other.

"How long do we have to wait?" you asked "I don't know. She will be home soon" he said.

Then you heard the lock clicks before you saw the door open.

Vanya was about to turn on the light switch by her door, but then Five turned on the light next to him making Vanya jump a bit when she saw Five and you.

"Jesus!" she said "You should have locks on your windows" Five said "I live on the second floor" she said as she put down her keys "Rapists can climb" he said "And murderers" you said "You two are so weird" she said before she closed the door and you looked at Five "You do remember that you blinked us into the apartment, right?" you asked "I know" he said.

When Vanya have closed the door, she took off her jacket before she sat down on the couch and she quickly spotted some blood on Five's and your shirt and on your arms "Is that blood?" she asked "It's nothing" you both said "Why are you two here?" Vanya asked and Five let out a sigh "We have decided you're the only one we can trust" you said "Why me?" Vanya asked "Because you're ordinary" he said and you could see that the sentence hurt her feelings.

"Because you'll listen" you said "Okay" Vanya said before getting up to get something to clean your and Five's cuts.

Vanya came back with the things "Do Y/n/n first" he said and you turned your arm so Vanya could clean it.

When she were done, Five turned his arm around so Vanya could clean it.

He glance at Vanya, keeping his gaze as she kept cleaning his cut.

"When we jumped forward and got stuck in the future, do you know what we found?" he asked "No" she said "Nothing. Absolutely nothing" you said before Five rolled down his sleeve when Vanya was done.

"As far as we could tell, we were the last people left alive" you said "We never figured out what killed the human race, but...we did find something else" he said "The date it happens" you said and Vanya froze at what you and Five said.

"The worlds ends in eight days, and we have no idea how to stop it" you and Five said.

There was a few seconds of silence before Vanya spoke up "I'll put on a pot of coffee" she said.

"We survived on scraps. Canned food, cockroaches, anything we could find" he explain and chuckled as he was holding a cup of coffee while you and him were sitting on a chair each as Vanya was sitting on the couch in front of the two of you.

"You know that rumor that Twinkies have an endless shelf life?" he asked and Vanya nodded "Well, it's total bullshit" you said "I can't even imagine" Vanya said "You do whatever it takes to survive, or you die" he said "So we adapted. Whatever the world threw at us, we found a way to overcome it" you said.

"'We' as in you two" she pointed between you and Five.

You nodded.

"And yo're really married?" she asked and the two of you nodded.

Just like the other siblings, Vanya wasn't surprise that you and Five got married, the two of you have always had a strong bond and were close. Now that Vanya thought about it, you and Five's relationship had never been siblings. It was always....more. Without anyone noticting. 

"You got anything stronger?" Five asked as he lifted up his cup.

Vanya got up before she walked over to the kitchen "Do you want anything Y/n?" she asked "A little glass wouldn't hurt" you said and Vanya grab two glass and a bottle of alcohol before she poured down the liqour into the glass for Five and you who got up before you grabbed a glass each and took a sip.

He brought the glass down to a normal position in front of him holding it before he shook his head when you both looked at Vanya and you noticed her expression which cause you both to sigh "You think we're crazy" he said "No" she said stammering "It's just...It's a lot to take in" she said "Exactly what don't you understand?" Five asked "Sweety, be nice" you said.

"Why didn't you just time travel back?" she asked and the two scoffs before letting out a sigh.

"Really, didn't think of that" you said sarcastically "Gee, wish I'd thought of that" he said sarcastically "Time travel is a crapshoot" you said "We went into ice and never acorn-ed" Five said "You think, we didn't try everything to get back to our family?" you asked.

"If you two grew old there, you know, in the apocalypse, how come you two still look like kids?" she asked and the two of you let out a scoffs "We told you already" you said before Five walked past Vanya and put down his glass as he let out a sigh "I must have got the equations wrong" he said as he poured himself another drink "And you wouldn't have gotten it wrong if you just had listen to me" you said.

"I mean, Dad always used to say that...time travel could mess up your mind. Well, maybe that's what's happening?" she asked and Five took a sip from the glass "I thought we could count on her, but this was a mistake" you said "You're right. She's too young...too naive to understand. We're leaving" Five said before he turned around and the two of you walked over to the door.

"No. Five, Y/n...guys wait" she said and you both stopped by the door before you turned around to look at her.

"I haven't seen you two in a long time, and I don't want to lose you again. That's all" she said which cause you and Five to let out a sigh as you looked down on the floor, not really know what to say.

"And you know what, it's getting late, and...I have lessons early, and I need to sleep, and I'm sure you two do, too" she said before she walked over to the couch and grabbed a blanket "Here" she said before she laid it out on the couch "There is only enough space for one, give me a minute to--- " "No need" Five cut Vanya off "Y/n sleep on the couch I will sleep on the armchair" he said "Are you sure? It's going to be very uncomfortable" she pointed out "In the apocalypse, we both sleep worse places" Five said.

"We'll talk in the morning again. Okay? I promise" she said and you both looked down as she walked past then and towards her bedroom "Night" she said as she was looking at the two of you "Night" you both responds before she closed the door.

You and Five walked over and sat down on the couch "So are we staying or not?" you asked "Can I see the eye?" he asked and you nodded before you took the eye out of your pocket, unfolded it out of a cloth and handed it to him.

Five grabbed the prosthetic eye and he let out a sigh before he turned the prosthetic eye around to see the engraving on the back read 'MeriTech' followed by a serial number.

"Let me guess, we're not staying" you said and Five looked at you "We're leaving" he said before he wrapped the eye into the piece of cloth and gave it to you who put it in your pocket.

"What about Vanya?" you asked "She will understand when we explain everything to her" Five said.

He then got up before he looked at you "You can stay if you want" he said "I'm not leaving you. I'm with you till the end of time" you said "Then are you ready for another adventure?" he asked "Always" you smiled "Then come on" he said and the two of you walked over to the door, slowly opened it and left the apartment.

"So now what?" you asked "We will get started early in the morning" he said "So what now?" you asked "We're going back to the Academy, 'cause you need rest" he said "I don't" you said "Yeah, you do. You have not rest since we landed here, and I know that you being in your younger body and what happen in the diner is exhausting" he said "I'm fine" you said "You don't have to lie to me Angel, we spend 45 years alone together in a broken world. And we have know each other for 58, grew up together. I know you" he said as the two if you stop walking down the street.

You turned so you were looking at each other.

"Five I'm fine, okay, I don't need rest" you said "Yeah, you do and there is no time to argue, beside the lab is close for today and we can't really do anything else" he said "I'm not gonna win this argument, am I?" you asked "Nope, not this time" he said and you rolled your eyes "Okay, but I want to be the big spoon this time" you said "Fine" he said and the two of you continue walking towards the Academy.
