CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO: TRYING

The song 'Another One Bites the Dust' by Queen was playing out loudly on the speakers as Ben was holding a bottle of champagne that Diego opened with a sword while the Sparrow and the Umbrella was in the living room, celebrating that they have saved the universe.

Diego sliced the top off Ben's champagne bottle.

Ohh, let's go

Ben poured some champagne in Five's glass.

Steve walks warily down the street

Sloane and Fei were both holding a glass with champagne as they were dancing.

With a brim pulled way down low

You and Five was standing next to each other and the two of you were about to kiss but then Lila grabbed his arm "I'm borrowing Loverboy here" she said "Hey only I'm allow to call him that" you said and Lila smile as she wrapped her arm around Five's shoulder.

Ain't no sound. But the sound of his feet

Lila ruffled his hair with a smile while you smiled.

Machine guns ready to go

You started dancing with Luther and Diego.

Are you ready? Hey, are you ready for this?

The Sparrows and the Umbrellas all started dancing around the living room.

Are you hanging on the edge of your seat

Fei and Sloane smiled as they cheered with their glass.

Out of the doorway the bullets rip

Allison was standing far off the side with a bottle of champagne in her hand. She had a frown on her face.

To the sound of the beat yeah

Fei bow to Allison before she rejoin the dance floor.

Another one bites the dust

Ben was pouring the champagne bottle down his mouth as Diego gave him a bump from behind with his chest.

Luther uncorked another bottle of champagne before he sprayed it all over.

And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust yeah

Viktor was smiling to see his family having fun.

Hey I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

Allison and Viktor looked at each other and Allison scoff before she turned around and left.

How do you think I'm going to get along
Without you when you're gone

Viktor let out a sigh before leaving the living room.

You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own

Five smiled as Lila pulled him closer to the others.

Are you happy are you satisfied?
How long can you stand the heat

Ben poured down more champagne into Five's glass.

Five walked over to you before he stretched his arm towards you.

You grabbed it before he pulled you close to him and the two of you started dancing.

"So did we really do it?" you asked and he nodded "We really did it. It's over" he said and you smiled.

"Ready to live a wonderful, long and beautiful life with each other" he said and you nodded "I can't wait. I'm so ready for a reset" you said and he smiled.

And another one gone and another one gone

Five was about to take another sip of his glass with champagne but you grabbed it "I think you had enough" you said before putting it on a small table.

He let out a chuckled before kissing you.

Shoot out

You and Five were happy, you have saved the universe, you, Five, his siblings and the Sparrows were all dancing together, like a real family. And now each of you, could start a new chapter of your lives, no more fighting and no more ending of the world. You felt that everything was perfect and things could now go back to normal.

You and Five could now get a second chance with your life. Live your that life together you always wanted 'cause now everything was peaceful again 'cause the Kugelblitz were gone meaning that the universe was saved.

"Y/n" a voice said which 'cause you to turn around to see Lila "Hey" you said to each other "Y/n/n. I want to apologize for everything" Lila said "It's okay. The Handler manipulated you" you said "Yeah, but I almost killed you and your husband" Lila said "It's okay Lila, you were blinded by anger and The Handler almost got into your head. I forgive you" you said and Lila looked down.

"So you are not angry at me?" Lila asked "Well, I believe in seconds chances" you said before you walked over to Lila "Can we start over and be friends again?" she asked and you nodded "Don't let me regret it" you said as you and Lila shook hands.

"Is there something wrong?" you asked as you noticed the look on Lila face "I told Diego that Stan was not ours and now he is angry at me" she said as she looked down at her fingers "I'm pregnant" she said and you smiled "That's amazing. Congratulations" you said as you gave her a quick hug.

"Thank. It's Diego's. I have not told him that I'm pregnant and now I'm scared of how he will react" Lila said "Don't give up, if he really love you, he will give you a second chance. Tell him about the baby" you said "It's just I'm in doubt that I will be a good mom. I know Diego will a good father, but I don't think I will be a great parent" Lila said "Why would you think that?" you asked "Apples and trees" Lila said "Don't think that Lila. You're not The Handler. Just because bad people raised you then it does not mean that you will be the same. I know you will be a good mom" you said "Thanks Y/n/n and I know that you would be a good mom too, if you and Five want to try" she said "I don't know" you said and she looked at you.

"I told him that I have always dreamt of having kids, and ask him if he want to have kids" you said "And what did he say?" she asked "He didn't say anything, which also mean that he don't want kids" you said "Maybe he was just surprise over that you mention it, but we can now all start a new chapter in our lives" she said "Maybe" you said before looking at her.   

"Lila, I forgive you for everything. The fight, everything. Maybe you don't want forgiveness, but I'm giving it to you. Everything is too short to hold grudges" you said and a single tear felled from Lila "No wonder Five got all teary eyed, you can make everyone cry. Thank you Y/n/n, I'm so sorry for almost killing you" she said "You were blinding by love, you thought that The Handler loved you, by love can sometimes also be manipulation" you said.

Lila then opened up her arms "Get in here little one" she said and you smiled before you hugged her "Thank you for making me opened my eyes towards my mother" Lila said "Thank you for not killing me or my husband" you said and she chuckled.

Then someone cleaned their throat which cause you and Lila to pull away and you both saw Five.

"I'm glad that you two became friends" he said with a smile before he looked at you "Can I talk to you?" he asked and you nodded before you look at Lila "I better find Diego and tell him" she said "See you around" you said and she nodded before leaving.

"Tell him what?" Five asked "Not important, they just have something to sort out" you said "And so do we" you tilted your head.

Five then grab your wrist before he lead you into one of the many empty bedrooms.

"Listen" he let go of you before turning around as you close the door behind you both.

"What you mention earlier about---" "Just forget, it's nothing" you cut him off "It is something. That was a really seriously thing to mention" he said "Listen it's okay that you don't want kids okay, I'm not going to leave you because of that. It was just a stupid thought" you said "A thought you told me you have had since we were kids" he said "Yeah, but it is okay that you don't want kids, sometimes things are just meant to be" you said.

"But I changed" you looked at him "I actually wanted kids" he said "You do?" you asked and he nodded "Yeah. I knew that it have being your dream. I remember you once told me when we were kids. Actually we talk about that if none of us are married before we were 40, we would get together and have one. I wanted to give you that dream. But then we landed in the apocalypse and I didn't want kids as long as we were in the apocalypse because I didn't wanted our kids to grow up in a broken world, and when we return I was actually glad that we transform into your younger bodies, 'cause then it meant that we kinda rest and were giving another chance of being parents. But I didn't mention because I didn't knew if you still wanted it" he took a step closer to you

"So if I'm going to have kids one day, I only want them with you. So I like the idea of having a family with you Y/n" he said softy, grabbing your chin with his fingers and gently moved your head up so your eyes locked.

"I don't mind having a kid. I think it would be good for us" he said and you smiled.

"Look I actually didn't think I would be ready for all of this with the baby carrier, the diapers, and all of that. But I think I can do it. I will be new to all of this daddy thing, but if it means that I'm doing it with you, our child. I will do whatever it takes" he said "I know you would" you nodded "I can't promise that I wouldn't screw it up from time to time. But I can promise that I wouldn't run away. I won't back down" he said and you smiled.  

"I want to be the guy that help you fulfill your dreams, and if kids is one of those dreams then I want to give that to you" he said "You know that you don't have to if you don't want to" you said "I do want to. I actually want to have kids with you" he said "Do you really mean that?" you asked and he nodded "I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it" he said and you smiled.   

"Of course I'm scared if I will ever be a good dad. Since we had a terrible dad ourself" he said.

"I'm scared too Five" you said "Over what?" he asked "I've never taking care of a baby in my life" you said "There's a first time for everything" he said "What if I'm not a good mother...I don't know the first thing about baby or kids" you said "Honey, you would be a great mother" he said "What makes you so sure?" you asked "Because I know you, believe it or not, you are the most caring person I know. You don't let your past bring you down. You have always see the good in everything and everyone. You are so full of hope, joy and positive, no matter what situation we're in. You always see a bright thing in everything. You try to see the good in people and when you find that good in them, you try to help that person see it too. You are my light" he said "You make it sound like I'm your everything" you said with a chuckled.

"You are" he said as he put your face in his hands before he gave you a kiss.

"And it's okay that you don't want right at the spot, that you want to settle down, getting use to our new life, then maybe we can try" he said.

He would by anytime and without a second thought, give his life for you, just like you would do the same for him.

"I know that it is a lot to ask, but how about we try now" he looked at you "What?" he raise a brow "I know that it come all of a sudden, but now that I know that you want to have kids too, I want us to try right away, I mean it would be like starting a new chapter" you said and he tilted his head.

"But it is okay if you want to settle down first and getting use to this new life" you sighed while looking down.

"I don't mind trying now if you want. I know that you would be an amazing mom, I will try to be a good dad " he said and you smiled.

"I know you will, because just because we did bad parents doesn't mean we will become one ourself" you said and he smiled.  

He then leaned closer to you but you stop him.

"Wait" you said before you moved your eyes away from him and it look like you were counting.

"Counting days?" he asked, knowing what kind of days you were counting and you nodded.

You were counting your fertile days.

After a few seconds you looked at him "Well, the fertile window is still open, so we could try now and for the next few days. If we try now and for the next few days it will higher the chances" you and he smiled.

"And if we don't managed to get pregnant, then maybe now is not the time. And if we don't ever get pregnant, then it is a sign that we are not meant to be parents" you said and he nodded.

The two of you then pressed your lips against each other.

You moved your hands to his cheeks before moving them around to his neck and put them over the back of his head, through his hair.

Then he hand moved to your lower back, pulling you body into his as he pressed his lips against yours without warning. The kiss was soft and rushed, leaving you wanting more as he pulled away.

He sunk into the kiss, his hand weaving into your Y/h/c hair at the base of your scalp, pulling you closer.

He then push you backwards a bit causing you to fell on your back onto the bed.

You helped me fight when I was giving in
And you made me laugh when I was losing it

He then crawled up on the bed so he was over you before pressing his lips against yours.

You pulled away from the kiss, he could hear your heart was racing as you leaned your forehead against his, your eyes still closed.

He leaned forward slightly, his lips brushing up against yours.

You smiled to each other before he softly pressed his lips on yours.

You moved your hands to his cheeks before moving them around to his neck and put them over the back of his head, through his hair.

He put one hand to the side of your head and the other one on your right cheek as both of you kept pushing each other in the opposite direction, trying to lean into each other.

He bit down on your lower lip, pulling back and you let out a shaky breath.

And if I could, I'd get you the moon
And give it to you

He pulled away before you looked at each other, his hair hung messily in front of his eyes as he quickly finished unbuttoning your dark blue shirt.

And if death was coming for you
I'd give my life for you

He put one hand to the side of your head and the other one on your right cheek as both of you kept pushing each other in the opposite direction, trying to lean into each other.

He smirked and pushed himself forward into your body. You pushed his head closer to you.

You brought your hands to his tie and you started to untying it quickly. He grabbed it, tossing it to the side.

You wrapped your legs around his waistline before you flipped you both over so that he was under you.

"Take off that shirt so I can show you how much I love you" he said as you were kissing his neck and you pulled away with a smile.

Five watch with a smile as you took off your shirt and he was certain that he had never know anyone as beautiful you.

He felt like the luckiest man to find the love of his life.

The same thing went for you. You felt like the luckiest woman to find the love of your life. Five was like no one else. You felt safe with him. He gave you a feeling that no one else could make you feel.

He pressed a kiss to your cheek, holding you close to him with one hand against your back and the other gripping the back of your thigh.

He wrapped his legs around your waist before he flipped you both over so that you were under him.

You scoffed from under him, causing him to smirk before crashing your lips together again.

While kissing you, he pressed your back more into the sheet.

He moved his head down, moving his lips to your jaw. Your breath faltered slightly as he moved his lips again while he moved his hands to your underwear slowly taking them off as your hands were doing the same to his underwear.

You brought your arms up to his head, putting them through his hair. Tugging on his hair slightly while he moved down to your collar bone.

You tilted your head back farther into the sheet, tugging his hair more as he started kissing your neck again.

One of his hands came to brace your legs before moving it up to wrap around his waistline, his other coming down to dip your thighs.

You spread your legs for him, your head resting on the pillow as you grabbed the sheet that had been kicked off, wrapping it around both of you.

"You and me against time" he said "You and me against time" you said and he smiled before pressing his lips against yours again.

He let out a groan as he hastily tossed his blazer aside while still in the middle of the kiss, he tossed his suit aside before he started kissing you passionately.

You and Five both really hope that you could still conceive.

You are both still 58 and 59, well your consciousness are but since your bodies are young again, and you have had your period, you could still do it.

You both want nothing more than live a peaceful and normal life together. Start a new chapter and having a kid is a good way to do that.

You always wanted to be a mom, so you hope that your dream would come true.
