CHAPTER FORTY-SIX: MEETING THE FAMILY

"'Home'? This isn't your home" Reginald said "What are you talking about? This is the Umbrella Academy" Allison said.

"Wrong again. This is the Sparrow Academy" Reginald said before looking up at the Sparrows who stopped by the middle of the balcony.

You have a bad feeling about this.

At the sound of echo footsteps approaching from upstairs was heard from behind them made you, Five and the others to turn around and they saw in front of a circular window stood five people and a grey cube that was floating next to them.

Diego pulled out his knife in defense, ready for a fight while Five stepped in front of you to protect you.

"Honey, I didn't knew you could travel through different realities" you whispered "I can't" Five whispered back "What the hell have you screw up now, Fivey?" you asked "I don't know" Five replied.

"Dad, who the hell are these assholes?" a voice asked which cause you and the siblings to take their attention away from the people on the balcony to see a man walking out from the side.

Your and the other's eyes widened when you saw it was your brother Ben who was alive.

But he didn't look like the old Ben. His hair was different and he had an almost invisible scar on his face right under his left eye by his cheek.

You, Five and his siblings all froze in shock "Shit" you said as you all realised that you had screwed something up when you travelled back from 1963 to 2019.

For the first your dad was alive, another group of people name The Sparrow was living in your house, and your dead brother Ben was alive.

You and your family couldn't believe that Ben was standing right in front of you. Even so you wanted to ran over to him and hug him, you knew that this wasn't the Ben that you all knew. Because if it was, he would have look and sound different and he would also know who you and your siblings are.

"What the hell have you screw up now Five?" you asked "This time, nothing" Five said to you "It seems like something has being screwed up" you said.

"Ben" Klaus said softly with a smile and Ben looked at him while Luther walked up in front of you of the others "Is that really you?" he asked and Ben looked at him.

You and your siblings tried to process what has happening, why there was another group in your place, why your home was no longer your home. You have screwed it up and you knew it.

"And who are the weirdoes on the balcony?" Diego shouted as he was looking at The Sparrows that were standing by the balcony, looking down at us.

"They are the Sparrows. My children" Reginald said proudly and the sound of rumbling was heard as the place shook a little bit while energy twinkling was heard.

"Children. Oh shit" you said inside your head, you, Five and your siblings have really messed up big time. If Reginald never adopted you, Five and your siblings, then you never had a life as the Umbrella Academy, therefore missing up the timeline, which mean that you, Five and your siblings have other version of you living other lives and that means paradox psychosis

"What did he just say?" you asked and Five looked at Reginald "I'm sorry. What do you mean, your children?" he asked before he took a step towards Reginald "That's not possible, old man" he said "Of course it is! I think I'd know, wouldn't I?" Reginald said as the rest of the Sparrows walked down to stand behind Ben.

"Everybody else can see Ben, right?" Klaus asked as he pointed at Ben "Cute hat, Sundance" Ben said sarcastically in respons, in a voice like he was mocking Klaus and in respons Klaus tipped his hat with a smile.

"They call themselves the Umbrella Academy, a group of scheming, perfidious malcontents who accosted me in the fall of 1963 when I was away on business in Dallas" Reginald said.

"Five, the briefcase" you whispered to Five and both turned your heads to check the briefcase he left on the table in the entrance of the Academy.

You both need to get it, but you wouldn't leave your family and you both have a feeling that those Sparrows will attack if you guys made one wrong move.

 "'Accosted' you sent us a letter, inviting us to a light supper" you said as you looked at Reginald. 

"Be warned, they claim to be my spawn" Reginald said "Claim?" Allison asked as she looked at Reginald while she took a step towards him before she looked back at Five "Look, Five, what the hell is going on?" she asked "I don't know yet, but it's concerning" Five answered.

"Is he telling the truth?" Marcus asked "Not the part about us being perfidious" Vanya said "No, we're amateur-fidious, at best" Klaus said "But we are his children. This is our house" she said "Yeah, yeah. We, uh...We grew up here" Luther said "'Yeah, we grew up here'" Alphonso said, mocking and two members of the Sparrow snickers at this.

"I kind of think we would have noticed you" Sloane said and Luther stared at her for a moment before smiling "Hi. I'm Luther" he said before extended his hand to Sloane who ignored the hand but still let out a small smile.

"I think someone has a crush" you whispered to Five who nodded.

"Trying to flirt with them. Are you serious? Is that what you call flirting, no wonder you have never had a girlfriend" you said and Luther gave you an angry glare.

"Okay. None of you belong here" Allison told them as she took a step closer to them "Oh! Well, then. I guess we'll just pack our bags and move out" Fei said sarcastic.

Chris started making noises as he spoke causing the Umbrellas to look confused at the cube, not understanding a words it said while The Sparrow started chuckling "You slay me, Chris" Ben said.

"Fivey, what do we do?" you asked "I don't know, but be ready, cause this might turn into a fight" Five said "Does everything has to turn into a fight" you said "You know us, Love. Chaos love us" Five said "I'm gonna kill chaos" you said.

 "Are your powers reloaded?" Five asked "Almost, but I can still fight hand to hand" you said "Good" he said and you both looked at each other with a smile.

"We need to get over there" you whispered "I know, but we have to be careful, I think one wrong move and it will turn into a fight" Five said "Well, then is good we don't make wrong moves" you said "No, but the rest of the family might" Five said "I will bet is either Klaus or Diego that will make the wrong move" you said.

You looked at Ben and he looked exactly the same, except for the scar he had on his face. He also sound more mean than he used to, that Ben you knew had a more calm voice.

Then you heard the sound of footsteps and you looked over to see your mother Grace came into the room, holding a plate with cookies.

"I wasn't expecting company" she said with a sigh "This is the best I could do on short--" she said before her voice got discorded and it sounded like a robot "Short notice" she finished and Diego put his knife away before he walked closer to her.

"Mom" he said softly "Mom? She's a robot, you perv" Jayme said "She's not a robot" Diego said as he turned his head to look at Jayme.

"Hey, don't you call him that" Luther said as he was looking at the woman "Or what?" Ben asked "Come closer and find out" Luther said and Ben took a step closer.

"Luther! Guys, chill!" Vanya said, trying to calm him down "Think I'm afraid?" Ben asked Luther

"Stand down Ben" Marcus said as he put his arm out in front of Ben "Look at that! She's got a voice!" Luther said "How about I hide that big Rubik's Cube up your ass?" Diego asked and Jayme started moving her mouth and jaw before she let out a hiss as she spit her back venom spit on Diego which dissolved on his skin.

While they did that, you looked at each member of the Sparrow, like you were reading them, their movement, words, body languge.

It is something you learn in the Commission.

If you were getting into a fight, you wanted to know what kind of people you were up against.

You looked at Ben first and you looked at his eyes which was your best ways to read a person. You could read that Ben wanted to be included and a lot, like Diego. He wanted a fight.

You then looked at Marcus, the way he talk, the way he was standing in front of the other, and the way his body language was. You could see that he was the leader of the Sparrows.

You looked at Marcus' eyes, he seems like a calm guy. He could see that he don't want a fight.

You then looked at the guy with the mess up face, he seems to be like Klaus, a calm chill guy, making jokes, even in a really bad time

The woman with the long black hair, the one that call Diego a perv, was like you and Five. Sarcastic, someone who looks like they are innocent and sweet but is the completely opposite.

You then looked at the woman that was standing next to the cube, she was a sweet person, she try to seem scary and tough but was not. Almost like Luther.

The woman with the sunglasses, was like Allison. A person who doesn't ask for help, but can be tough when she need too.

And the cube was confusing to read him, even for you, but it was because he was a cube and not a human.

"ENOUGH!" Marcus shouted, getting everyone attention "I don't know what circus you escaped from or how you got past our security, but we're done here. You got 30 seconds to get out of our house" Marcus said "And if we don't" Allison asked as she had her arms crossed in front of her chest "Are you sure this is a good idea Allison, I mean, we just left a huge fight" you said to her "I think you better listen to the kid" Ben said "I'm not a kid and you used to be nicer, but you look and sound like an asshole now" you said "What the hell did you just call me, little bitch" Ben said a little aggressive "Hey, don't call my wife that" Five hissed as he was sending Ben a killer look.

"Aren't you two too young to be married?" Ben asked as he looked at you and Five "We are older than you think" Five said "Yeah right, you two look like little kids" Jayme said "Okay, the next one who call me a little kid, I will punch them" you said as you glanced at each of the Sparrows with a killer look.

"I would take her seriously if I was you. She is tougher than she look and can actually kill you in a second" Luther said "Her little husband can control her" Jayme said "She is the one that have the armor on in that relationship" Diego said "Not all the time" Five said "Well, I still have the power over you" you said "No you don't" Five said "Yeah I do" you said "No, you don't" Five said "Yeah. She does" Diego said.

"Listen guys, it's not their fault the timeline changed. We have to figure this one out, not fight. It's their home" you said as you pointed on the Sparrows.

"If you don't leave. Then we'll have to settle this the old-fashioned way" Marcus said "Look, we literal just fought an army" Vanya said "Yeah. So this doesn't need to get ugly. Let's all just calm down and let's talk" you said.

Then Klaus moved his head to the side to look at Ben "Psst. Ben-er-ion" he said to him causing Ben to look at him "You look so much better alive than you do dead. Am I right? Except that haircut" Klaus said with a smile before he walked closer "What the hell did you just say?" Ben asked "Come on, come on" Klaus said as he waved his hands while he walked closer to Ben "Klaus don't" you said but he didn't listen.

"Stop with all the hostility, Mr. Grumpy Pants" he said before he stopped when he was close enough and that's when he noticed the almost invisible scar on Ben's face right under his left eye.

But Ben swung a punch at Klaus's face causing him to let out a groan as he stumbled backwards before he lost his balance and landed on the coffee table.

"Hey! What the hell?" Luther asked as he turned to look at Ben "You didn't have to do that" he asked "Oh, I'm pretty sure I did!" Ben said "He did" Alphonso said.

"Get back" Marcus said as Luther walked closer to him "Luther, hey!" Vanya said "Back off!" Luther said as Marcus grabbed him before he push him a little bit back.

Luther then swung his arm at Marcus' face but he ducked down before he kicked Luther in the stomach and with his super strength, Luther flew backwards.

Five grabbed you before he yanked you towards him so you wouldn't get hurt as you all watch Luther flew across the room.

Just as Klaus got up, he saw Luther came flying towards him "Oh shit!" he said before Luther flew into him causing them both to flew backwards, hitting the couch, flipping it before they both landed on the floor in front of the fire place.

"Bad touch, Luther! Bad touch" Klaus said as Luther was laying on top of him "Sorry" Luther said as he try to get up before the fight began.

Alphonso, Fei, Sloane and Jayme followed after Allison and Vanya while Five, you and Diego stayed in the living room with Ben and Chris while Marcus walked over to Luther.

Luther was about to help Klaus up but then Marcus came before he threw a kick at him, hitting Luther in the face.

Luther threw a punch at Marcus but he blocked it before they both started punching each other.

"Stop, stop!" Klaus as he got up and they both stopped before they looked at him "All right. Peace and love, peace and love. Here I come" he said before he limped away.

"Come at me, little box!" Diego said, looking at Christopher and Christopher said something.

"Hey! Listen, I have amazing hair, all right? This was era-approariate!" Diego said but Christopher shot out some red rays of electricity at Diego causing him to groan.

"That's all you got?" Diego asked before he was chase by Christopher.

"Come at me, kids. I can take you both out" Ben said as he looked at you and Five.

"Let's take him down together" you said as you got in a fighting position.

"No Love, let me handle this, you go take care of the others, get the briefcase" Five said as he kept his eyes on Ben "No, we are gonna do this together. Like we always do" you said "I know. But you are still weak after the fight at the farm, your powers has not recharge, yet" Five said.   

"So you are saying that I can't take him?" you asked "No, I'm not saying that" he said "Then what are you saying. That I'm too weak for this fight?" you asked "No, I'm not saying that either" he said "You do remember that I won over you in a fight, more than once, right" you said "Yeah, I remember" he said "Then you grab the briefcase and let me handle this" you said "No, you can get hurt, I'm not taking that risk" he said "I can protect myself and handle this" you said "Can't you just listen to me this time" you said.

"Jesus, if you two are gonna keep fighting like that, then get a divorce" Ben said "We're not getting a divorce" you and Five said.

"So are you two gonna keep arguing or are we gonna fight" Ben said and you both looked at him "Please Love" Five said "Alright" you said "Can't you two just come at me, 'cause I can take you both out" Ben said "No you can't. Beside it wouldn't be fair for you" you said before you turned around and ran out of the living room.

Ben threw a kick at Five's leg before Five punched Ben in the face and Ben punched Five in the face.

Five swung his arm at Ben but he ducked down before he threw a fist at Five but he reach to moved it away with his arm.

Five threw a punch at Ben before Ben threw a punch at Five and he swung his body around before he threw a fist at Ben, hitting him in the face.

Five swung another fist at Ben but he block it with his arm.

Ben threw a fist at Five's face but he grabbed the wrist with his hand, moving it down before he threw a punch at Ben but he grabbed his fist before he punched him in the stomach causing Five to cry out in pain.

Ben then grabbed Five's arm before he went behind him, wrapping his arm around Five's throat, holding him in a headlock position.

But then Five blinked out of the grip before he appeared few feet in front of Ben "You're alive. That's...great. Or possibly horrible. I'm not really sure, yet" Five said as he stroke some of his hair away from his face "Is that some kind of weird smack talk?" Ben asked "It's more of an existential problem, really, Ben" Five said.

"Awesome. Well, here's your next problem" Ben said before he shot out one of his tentacle towards Five out of his stomach, but Five blinked away before he appeared on the balcony as the tentacle moved back into Ben's stomach.

"You know..." Five said and Ben turned around to look up at him "Even though you're a total asshat now..." Five said and Ben shot out again one of his tentacle towards Five but he blinked away again before he appeared behind him, and he grabbed his shoulder before he turned him around, punching him in the face, knocking him on the floor "It's nice to see you again, really" he said.

Five turned around but only to see Chris in front of him, but then Diego jumped on the cube with a yell "Who's your daddy? I'm your daddy" Diego said as he started punching the cube while it try to shake him off "Who's...your...daddy?" Diego asked as he kept punching the cube.

Fei was fighting against Allison while Jayme was fighting Vanya in the main entrance of the Academy while a crow was flying around Fei and Allison.

"I don't wanna fight you!" Vanya said to Jayme as she dodged a kick from her.

Jayme swung another kick at Vanya but she ducked down "Aww! Did you wanna be best friends?" Jayme asked before she swung another kick at Vanya, knocking her to the floor with a groan.

Jayme then turned to see you running out of the living room, but she block your way. 

"It seems like I got the easy one" Jayme said with a smile and you looked at her but then you spotted Vanya on the floor knock out behind Jayme "VANYA" you shouted before you looked angry at Jayme "You are gonna pay for this" you said and Jayme smiled.

You knew how to fight even so you hated violence, you knew how to fight cause what you have learned from your when you were kid and what you and Five learned from The Commission.

"Come on, Kido, I think is time for your bedtime" Jayme said as she walked closer to you, but then you punched her in the face causing Jayme stumble back "Bitch" she said as she was holding her finger to her mouth to realized that she was bleeding.

"Listen, I really don't want to fight you" you said but then Jayme threw a punch at you but you dodged it before you jump a little bit away "Aww. Did you wanna be best friends?" Jayme asked and threw a kick at you, hitting you in the face causing you to fell to the floor "But that's the thing, I don't like kids" Jayme said.

"Don't call me a kid, cause I'm not a kid" you said and Jayme smiled "Yeah right" she said "Okay I'm done being nice. This is on" you said "Can't wait to see what a kid like you got" Jayme said "I hope you know your blood type, because I think you are gonna need some when I am done with you" you said before you swung a kick at Jayme, hitting her in the face, then you threw a punch at her but Jayme kicked you in the stomach making you stumble back.

While you and Jayme was fighting, Allison was fighting against the woman with the sunglasses while the guy with the mess up face was watching while eating popcorn.

"Should I step in and help one of them, Alphonso?" Sloane asked, looking at the fights "Nah, they are both making a point" Alphonso said before he moved the bag with popcorn towards Sloane "Popcorn?" he asked but she moved the bag away while shaking her head.

But then Sloane saw Vanya getting up.

"My turn" Vanya said before her skin turn white and a white bright icy blue ball appeared by her stomach, but then a white ball appeared on Sloane's palm and with her powers she lifted Vanya up in the air causing her powers to go off, making Vanya flew backwards hitting the wall, knocking down all the pictures on the wall.

Vanya let out a scream and a grunt as she fell on the floor "Art snob, huh?" Sloane asked.

Diego was chasing the cube as he was throwing knives at it while Ben had one of his tentacle wrapped around Klaus as he was lifting him up "See? We're hugging! This is progress!" Klaus said.
