CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: THE PSYCH WARD AND THE CLUB

You and Five was sitting next to each other in front of a table.

You were waiting for Diego to be brought to you as you were in a visit room in a psych ward.

The two of you should have seeing this coming, of course he would be here or in jail.

"You okay?" Five asked as he heard you let out a sigh "Why can't we just get one day break" you said "I don't know Love. Let's hope this will be the last apocalypse we need to stop" he said "I hope. I'm tired" you said "I know, me too" he said before he grab your hand "It's good that we got two days more to stop the apocalypse. We can handle this and then we just need to find a way home" he said "I just want to live that life we talk about living when we were in the apocalypse" you looked down at your hands.

"Hey" Five said as he put your face in his hands before he turned your head "We're gonna fix this. We are gonna stop the apocalypse, get home and live a wonderful and peaceful life together. I promise. It's you and me, always and forever, us against time" he said "It's you and me, always and forever, us against time" you repeated and he nodded before he pressed his lips against yours. 

"Gross. Get a room you two" a voice said and you both pulled away before you turned your heads to see Diego walking into the visit room in the psych ward.

"Hey, Diego" Five said as he leaned back in his chair and Diego looked at me "Hello Diego" you smiled as you got up before hugging your brother "I missed you" he said "Missed you too" you smiled.

"No hugging" one of the guard said and the two of you pulled away.    

"Nice to see you again, sis" he said "You too" you said before you walked back to sit next to Five while Diego pulled the empty chair across from of you, and sat down on it.

"You look good in white" you said as you cross your left leg over your right as your right arm was rested on Five's left shoulder while you were looking at Diego's white clothes.

"About time you showed up" Diego said as he was looking at Five "How'd you know I'd be back?" Five asked "Because that's the kind of shit you pull" Diego said angrily as he leaned forward.

"Where are the others?" Five asked "They're are not with you?" Diego asked "We'll find them" Five muttered quietly "How long have you been here?" you asked "Seventy-five days" Diego answered and Five grunted softly "Landed in the alley behind..."

"Commerce and Knox" you all said at the same time.

"You?" Diego asked as he looked at Five "I got here this morning" Five answered "Y/n?" Diego asked "I landed here a little bit over a year ago" you answered "Are you okay?" he asked and you nodded "I am now" you said "Good" Diego nodded before he looked back at Five "How'd you find me?" he asked and Five let out a gentle scoff before he pulled up the article "Page 16" he said before he unfolded the article while Diego leaned back in his chair and rolled his eyes.

Five put the article on the table before he began reading from it "'Disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N. Beckley'" he read before he slid the article towards Diego. "That's Lee Harvey Oswald's house" you said "Why are you helping with the interrogation?" Diego asked and you rolled your eyes "Care to explain?" Five asked as he leaned forward.

"Let's just say. Dallas Law Enforcement has not been supportive of my attempt to stop the assassination of..." Diego started before he looked back up at Five "John F. Kennedy" he said quietly.

"Because it hasn't happened yet" Five said and Diego leaned forward "And it's not going to happen" Diego said "You can't mess with time like that, Diego. Everything affects everything. The butterfly effect, so don't step on the butterfly" you said.

"Not on my watch" Diego said "Diego you can't" you said.

"Look, I've been shaving down the bars in my room. Another day or two, and I'll be out of this place, then I'm gonna stop Oswald and save the president. You want in, say the word" Diego said and you rolled your eyes.

"I think someone has a crush on the president" you said.

"Listen to me very closely, you gibbering moron. You are not going to do a goddam thing" Five said softly "Why not?" Diego asked "Because we have to stop the apocalypse" you said "No shit. But that doesn't happen for another 60 years" Diego said "Not that apocalypse. This is a new one. It followed us. I've seen it. Nuclear war, Diego, in ten days" Five said and Diego let out a quietly and softly laugh before he leaned back in his chair, crossing his arm in front of his chest.

"And I'm the one they locked up, huh?" he said with a smile and Five rolled his eyes with a scoffs as he looked at the window to his right while you rolled your eyes "Fine, I'll play along" Diego said as Five leaned back in his chair before looking at him.

"What cause it?" Diego asked "I don't know. Maybe some looney-tuned asshole with a hero complex tried to save the president and screwed everything up" Five said and Diego leaned forward again "So you're saying it worked?" he asked and Five let out a softly scoffs "I saved the president?" Diego asked and growled softly "I knew I could do it" he said "It doesn't matter who's ass you save. If we don't stop this apocalypse, everyone even Kennedy will die in ten days anyway if we don't stop this" you said.

"Okay, okay, I'll help you two" Diego said "Thank God" you said.

"After I save Kennedy. And then you swing us back a few decades so I can slit Hitler's throat off with a butter knife" Diego said "This is why you don't have any friends" Five said as they stared at each other "And why you are in here" you said.

Both you and Five were so tired of your siblings' behavior.

You and Five looked at each other "Plan B?" you asked "Plan B" Five said and you nodded.

"You know what?" Five said before he grabbed his wife's hand and got up from his chair causing you to also get up from the chair.

Five then looked at the staff member "Guard" he called out before letting out a sigh.

"My brother is plotting an escape" Five said "The bars of his room have been shaved down" you said and Diego got up quickly, trying to crawl across the table "Piece of shit!" he shouted at them causing you and Five take a step back 

The guards grabbed Diego's neck before pressing him down on the table. "No! Here--All right, asshole" one of the guards said "Look, this is for your own good, Diego" Five said as he was looking down at Diego.

"No! Five! Y/n!" Diego said as he was trying to get off the table and Five looked at the guards "Listen, our brother is a very sick man" he said "No, Five. Y/n please" Diego said "I'm sorry Diego, but it's for your own good" you said.

"We only pray that he gets the help he so desperately needs" Five said as a nurse walked over to Diego with a needle before she stuck the needle into Diego's arm before squeezing the top of the shot making the liquid go into Diego's body "No, please! Not the needle! No! No! No!" Diego said.

Five then leaned closer down to his brother's ear "We'll be back for you later, okay? Just...Well, nighty night" he whispered before Diego lost consciousness.

"What was that?" you looked at Five as the two of you walked out of the building "I thought we would get him out?" you asked "He's fine. We will get him out later when he have his mind straight" he said "He's not crazy. He shouldn't be in there" you said "Yeah, I know" Five nodded.

"He is proabaly going through hell right now and you don't even care---" you were cut off when Five stop and turned to look at you.

"I'm sorry, but I saw our family die. Again, and this time, you were there too. And I won't let that happen again. If I had to be the bad guy of the day to save and protect all of you, I will gladly do it" 

Your eyes widened when he said that "Why didn't you tell me that part?" you asked "I don't know. I wanted to, but first I want to---" "Stop the apocalypse" you finished his sentence and he nodded.

"Then let's go" you said and he nodded before taken your hand. "Where to now?" you asked "Find Luther" Five said "I know where he is" you said.

You were sitting by the bar corner, stealing two shots of glass with alcohol.

"Y/n/n" a voice said and you turned around to see Luther "Hey Spaceboy" you said "What are you doing here?" he asked "Looking for you" she answered "When did you get here?" Luther asked "A year ago. What about you?" you asked "I came here in 1962" he replied.

Then one of the workers walked up to Luther and started talking to him.

She mentioned that Five had asked her what time she got off work and you giggled at it.

You clenched your right fist as you gave the woman a death stare.

Luther then walked over to Five that was sitting by the stage, looking at a woman dancing on a stage when Luther came over to him before he bend down next to Five's ear "Is one woman not enough for you. Beside she is too young for you" he said and Five glanced to the side before looking back forward at the woman on the stage "Nice to see you too, Luther" he said.

"I don't think your wife Y/n would be happy to see you staring at that woman" Luther said "Actually I don't mind, as long as nothing goes further" you said from behind Luther and Five nodded "Beside Y/n know I only have eyes for her" he said as you walked over to him before you sat down next to him and handed him a shot of vodka and he took a small sip from it.

"Where did you get those?" Luther asked as he pointed on the two shots of glass "Stole them from some dude that is bothering Jack Ruby over there" you pointed your finger towards the man.

"You shouldn't be doing that" Luther said "He wouldn't notice, beside we need it" you said and Five nodded "Kept drinking one after another. So I think that he wouldn't notice that two is missing" you said before taking a sip from the glass.

"What do you two want?" Luther asked "For you to stop hovering like an ambitious stripper and sit down with us" Five said, as he tilted his head back to look at Luther and he sat down next to him.

"How long have you been here?" Five asked him "A year, thanks to you" Luther answered and you rolled your eyes "Ungrateful monkey" you mumbled.

 "I'm sorry, Luther. I know that couldn't have been easy" Five said calmly "Five, don't apologize, it's not your fault, honey" you said as you looked at your husband.

"I thought everybody was dead" Luther said but then he spotted a man talking to his boss "I gotta go" he said and was about to get up "Luther, wait" you said as Five grab a hold on his arm causing Luther to look down at him.

"Look, we get it, okay?  We know what it's like to be stuck in time...thinking this is how you're gonna live out the rest of your life" you started "On the run, and not knowing if you're ever gonna see the people you love again, and to be in an unfamiliar world. But Luther, you're not alone. We have to find the others because the world ends again in ten days and Y/n/n and I have no idea how to stop it" Five finished.

There was a few seconds of silence before Luther spoke up "I don't give a shit" he said "What?" Five asked "What did you just said?" you asked "You heard me" Luther said before he walked away but you and Five got up before you walked up in front of Luther before stopping, causing Luther to stop too.

"The hell is wrong with you, Luther?" you asked, pulling him a little bit to the side "We just told you the world's gonna end in ten days" Five said "Yeah, well, you two are always saying that" Luther said and you rolled your eyes "And so far, we have been right" Five said "He is not wrong. If it wasn't for Five, we would all be dead. You would be dead. So I would suggest not acting like an angry teenager and listen to him for so far he had been right" you said.

"Look, you two want to save the world. Knock yourself out. All right? I already got a job" Luther said "Wait, you work in this shithole?" Five asked.

"Yeah. Well, my boss owns the place. I'm his body man" Luther said "What's that?" you asked "Like a masseuse or something?" Five asked "I think it's like a bodyguard" you said "That makes no sense" Five said. 

 "Okay, you can make fun all you want, but I take good care of Mr. Ruby" Luther said "Wait, Ruby. The Jack Ruby, the gangster who shot Oswald?" Five asked "Yeah, the one and only" Luther said and looked over at Jack Ruby.

"It finally happened" you and Five said causing Luther to look back at them.

"That gorilla DNA has taken over your mind" you said "Hey, watch it, all right? Jack's a good friend" Luther said "And you're Number One. Número Uno. Remember?" Five asked "There is no Number One" Luther said and Five furrowed his brows "Not anymore. Not in 1963. Look, I've been stranded here alone for a year. What did you expect?" Luther asked and Five let out a sigh "I was stranded here for a year too, but I didn't do something that stupid" you said.

"I get it, all right? You watched Pogo die, the world exploded and I marooned your big dumb ass in time. I'm sorry, okay?" Five said and sighed "But we're asking for your help, Luther. The Umbrella Academy needs you" he said "It doesn't need me. It never did" Luther said.

"Finally you put your two brain cells together. Thank you for finally realizing that" you said and Luther send you an angry glare.

"Luther, honey" a waitress said from behind you and Five "Jack's about to lose it on some half-wit. A little help" she said "Ah, shit" Luther said and was about to walk away from the couple.

"Luther, wait" Five said, going after him and Luther turned around "Listen" he said angry "You're the genius who said we should jump. Right? You're the one who got us stuck here" Luther snapped at him and his face fell for a bit.

"And you're the one who brought Vanya. So if there is a doomsday coming, she's probably the cause. And if I was gonna do something about it, it sure as hell is not gonna be with you" Luther said before he turned around.

You let out a scoff before walking toward Luther.

You grabbed his shoulder, turning him around so he was facing you and grabbed the collar of his shirt before you pulled him down so he was in eye level with you.

"Listen here monkey man, you can blame Five for getting stuck here all you want, okay. Even so is not his fault, he did it to save us. But you can't blame him for anything else when he's the only reason you and everyone else is sill breathing. My husband have done things you can't understand, everything Five and I has done, was for us to get back. Five and I have being through shit you wouldn't understand. Sacrificed and lost a lot. Everything Five has done was for him and I to get back. It was so we could save you guys, so we could stop apocalypse. So get that through your thick skull and tiny brain" you said before you pushed Luther away and walked over to the bar where Five was.

"That's my wife" Five said with a smile before he gave you a kiss on the cheek as you took a seat next to him before they both saw Luther dragging a guy away.

Five took a sip of my drink before he put the glass on the counter "Dad should have left him on the moon" he said as your and Five's eyes followed Luther dragging the guy out "I can agree on that, or he should have just stayed there" you said.

You and Five was getting so tired of this. Your family was no help.

"Come on. We are wasting time here" you said and Five nodded before you both got out of the chair.

But as Five got up there was the sound of cloth tearing and he looked down to see where it was coming from. He put his hands in his pocket before he pulled out what look like a video tape.

DATE: 11/22/63

SUBJECT: FRANKEL FOOTAGE

Five remember that Hazel put something in his pocket before he died.

"What is that?" you asked as you saw the orange box that Five had pulled out of his pocket.

"I don't know. Hazel must have giving me it before he died" he replied.

"Then Hazel must have know something, otherwise he wouldn't have giving you that tape. There must be someone on it" you said "Yeah and I know who can develop the tape" he said before he put the tape in his pocket "Come on" he said and the two of you left the bar.

Five blinked you both into Elliott's apartment to notice that all the lights was turn off.

"He must be asleep" Five said "Yeah. Is it also late" you sat down on the couch "So shall we also go to bed or...?" he asked.

Five walked around the back of the couch and stopped behind you.

He put your face in his hands before he leaned your head back so his face was inches from yours.

Even at the end

Your eyes flickered from his eyes to his lips and you smiled before he gave you a light kiss on your lips.

You pulled away "I think that we also need some sleep. I haven't had a good night sleep since I landed here" you said before you got up "You need rest too, we both know that we can't focus when we are tired" you said "I know, I will be right there" you nodded before going to the bedroom.

You laid in the bed by the window when the door opened and you saw Five enter the room.

"Hey" he said "Hey" you said with a smile before you pulled the sheet up and Five climbed into the bed before laying down next to you.

Five lifted his right arm before he stork his finger down your left cheek.

"We never seem to get a day break" he said "No, we don't. It's like chaos love us. That or we are curse" you said "Yeah, but, no matter what happens, I'm gonna protect you" he said "You know I can protect myself, right" you said "I never doubted that" he kissed her forehead.

"I love you, you know that right" he said "I know" you said and he pressed his lips against yours.

You pulled away as you put your hand on his chest and you shook your head slightly before you grabbed the collar of his blazer and pulled him towards you.

Five rolled towards you so he was on top of you before he put both of his hands beside your head and you smiled as you flipped him over so that he was under you. He smiled before you smashed your lips together again.

Putting your hands on the back of his neck, you brought him closer to you. He smiled, grabbing your hips.

As you wrapped your legs around his hips, he grabbed it to keep it up. Keeping one hand on the back of his neck, you brought the other one up to his hair to tug a hit.

He moved his head down, making his lips move to your jaw before he moved his head again and began kissing your neck.

You then put both your hands on the side of his neck again.

Pushing you more against the bed, he pulled back for a second to catch his breath before he smashed his lips against yours again.

You put your hand on his arm as your other hand went to his cheek, deepening the kiss.

You wrapped your legs around his waistline while he was kissing your neck.

After about a few minutes of making out, Five rolled off you and onto the bed laying down next to you.

You both turned so you were facing each other before smiling.

You moved closer to Five and lay your head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around you and placed his hand on your waist.

He lay a kiss on your forehead before you both closed our eyes.
