CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: THE TRUTH OF REGINALD'S DEATH

You slowly opened your eyes before moving them around, to see where you were and you could recognize that you were back in your old bedroom.

You turned your head to see Five with his head on the bed, while he was holding your hand and the other hand was laying on your wrist right by your plus.

His eyes was closed and his breath was relax, so he must have falling asleep.

"Please don't say that you have been here all night?"you squeezed his hand a little bit which cause Five to lift his head and he breath out in relief when he saw his wife looking at him.

"Hey" you smiled "You are awake" he said with a smile "Thank God" he pressed his lips against yours.

You closed your eyes as you pressed your lips against his while you had your right hand on his left cheek.

You pulled away before resting your foreheads against each other "I thought I lost you" he said in relief "You won't get rid of me so easily" you said and he smiled as he pulled away.

"I love you, always and forever" he said "I love you too, always and forever" you said as you looked into each other's eyes.

Small tears of joy could be seen in his eyes, he was happy and relief over that his wife was okay.

He don't know what he would do if he lost you.

"Don't ever do something like that again. If you are hurt you shall tell me" he said "I was nervous over that you would forget about the apocalypse and worry about me" you said "Of course I would worry about you. You are my wife and you will always be my first priority and nothing will ever change that. No apocalypse will ever stop me from worrying about you and making sure you're safe" he stroke his right hand down your left cheek "I thought I lost you and I don't know what I would do without you. If you die I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I don't know what I would do if--" "Hey" you put your left hand to his right cheek "I'm okay and I'm sorry for not telling you. Next time I promise I will tell you" you said and he smiled.

"How are you feeling?" he asked "I'm feeling better" you said "Good" he pressed his lips against yours.

You lifted your right hand before putting it on his left cheek as you both sunk deeper into the kiss.

You moved your hands down to his blazer before you slowly started to take it off which cause him to pull away.

"As much as I would love to do this. You just got stitches and I'm scared that they will open up if we do this" he said and you lowered your hands "But as soon as they are gone, we can do a lot of that" you smiled.

"So what now?" you asked "Well, I'm not leaving your side until your body is 100% recovered. So I think that we could just lay in bed, cuddling" he said "What about the end of the world?" you asked "Diego and Allison will handle it. We still have a little time, beside you are more important than anything else in the whole world, even an apocalypse" he said and you smiled.

"I would love to cuddle with you, Fivey. But we have a world to save" you said before you began sitting up "No, no. Your body is not recovered" he said "I don't care" you let out a grunt in pain "Love, stop" he tried to get you to lay back down but without luck.

"No. We only have two days left" you said "I know, but right now, you need to lay down or the stitches will open op. Grace said you need rest" he said "I can rest when we have saved the world and you are not gonna stop me, Five" you said "Yes I can" he grabbed your wrist and shoved you back causing your back to hit the bed again.

You both looked at each other as he had his hands on your wrists, holding a tight grip while his legs was on each side of your waist so your lower body was between his legs.

"Listen, I want to save the world too. But you need to rest. Grace told me you were close in dying. I have to protect the one thing that I can't live without. That's you" he said and your eyes widened "We will stop the apocalypse and save the world. We will try to live a normal life, I promise. But if you start walking around now, your stitches will open up. Beside its still dark outside. So relax. Just for a few hours. Okay?" he said your we stared into each other's eyes.

"Okay" you said with a nod "So if I let you go, you are not gonna try to get up?" he asked and you shook your head "No" you said and he nodded "Good" he let go of your and removed his legs before sitting next to you again.

"Well, I can't and wouldn't rest until you lay down next to me" you said "Well, that was what I had in mind. 'Cause I have being up all night" he said "Then I'm not the one that need rest" you said "No" he shook his head.

Five then lay down next to you and you moved closer to each other as you stared into each other's eyes. 

Five lifted his right hand before he stroke it down your left cheek as you smiled to each other.

"What did I do to deserve someone as beautiful as you?" he asked "I could ask the same. What did I do to deserve someone as wonderful as you?" you asked as you stroke your left thumb down his right cheek.

"I just want to thank you. Not for just being in my life and for sticking around, but for reminding me that even broken things, can be loved" he said "You are not broken Five. You just needed to find someone to proof that to you" you said "And you were the one. Thank you for showing me that I was enough" he said.

You and Five felt whole when you could feel each other's touch. You felt you could be yourself and let out your pain, sadness and feelings when you were with each other.

He wrapped his right arm around you before he pulled you closer so your face was pressed against his chest.

You could feel his calming heartbeat in your ear as it was pressing against his chest, making you feel a little better by just hearing it.

You lifted your head so you were looking at Five "I love every single thing about you, your smile, your eyes, your personality, your body, your sense of humor, your perfect imperfections, everything. You mean the world to me and I don't want this beautiful story of ours to ever end" you said "It wouldn't end. I promise. We will stop this and then we can live a wonderful life together without having to worry about the apocalypse" he said as he storke his hand down your cheek.

"You are my world, my sun, my moon, and all the stars in the sky. Every moment I spend with you is a moment I cherish, and I cannot imagine my life without you in it" he said "Every day feel like a new adventure waiting to be discovered because when I look at you, I feel home. I never knew true love could feel so magical until you" you said before you pressed your lips against each other.

You pulled away and you pressed your face against his chest while he wrapped his arms tighter around you before closing his eyes.

As the two of you were just laying in the bed with your bodies pressed against each other, you could feel yourself relaxing.

You and Five couldn't see yourself with anyone else than each other.

Both you and Five need each other's protection, support, caring, strength and love. Only then the two of you succeed to get through everything as long as you did it together.

You took a deep breath as you closed your eyes.

Five's blazer, shoes and shirt was laying on the floor as he was laying in bed with you laying closed to him.

Five slowly opened his eyes to the bright sun's shining through the window and into your bedroom.

He looked down to see that your back were pressed against his chest and he had his arms wrapped around you.

Then you turned around before laying your head on his chest and he smiled as he tighten his grip around you before laying a kiss on the top of your head.

But then Klaus started ringing a bell out in the hallway, right outside the bedroom "Wakey, wakey!" he called out "Eggs and bakey!" he said in a singing voice as he kept ringing the bell which cause you to move your head a little while you let out a groan.

Five slowly and gently moved your head away from his chest so he didn't woke you up.

Five then got up before he put his blazer, shoes and shirt on and left the bedroom.

"Wakey, wakey!" Klaus called out as he was smiling while ringing the bell.

But then someone grabbed his wrist causing him to stop ringing the bell and Klaus turned around to see Five "Hey" Klaus said "What the hell are you doing, you are gonna wake up my wife" Five spat at Klaus "But breakfast is ready" Klaus said in a singing voice before he began ringing the bell away but then Five pulled the bell out of his hand.

"If you are ringing this bell again, I will beat you to death with it or shove it down your throat" he threated "Uh. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today" Klaus said as he took the bell from Five who rolled his eyes.

"By the way, I heard you and Y/n earlier this morning. Are you two trying to get--" "We didn't do it" Five snapped, cutting Klaus off before blinking away.

You let out a yawn as you stretched your arms out to the side before you heard the sound of a whoosh and you looked towards the sound to see Five.

 "Damn it. I thought you would be asleep for a little while longer" he said "Well, I was already awake before you blink in here" you said "Did Klaus singing and ringing with the bell woke you up? Cause I can shut him up. I just need some rope, tape and a chair" he said and you chuckled "No I was already awake a little bit. Beside it's time to get up" you said as you turned your body so you were sitting on the edge of the bed.

As soon as you stood up, Five immediately blinked over to you "Easy Love" he said "I'm fine, Five" you said but you let out another grunt in pain as you tried to stand up straight.

"Can you walk?" he asked "Yeah" you took another step forward while he was close to you, ready to catch you if I fell.

You let out another grunt as you took another step forward "Okay. You know what. I will make it easy" he said.

"Five, what are you doing?" you asked as he picked you up in his arms in bridal style.

"Five, put me down" you said "No" he said before he blinked you both to the kitchen.

Five appeared in the kitchen before he put me down.

Luther was sitting by the table, he had a hood over his head and he looked embarrassed. He was sitting with huge hangover as Klaus was pouring coffee up the in the mugs while having a big smile on his faces.

He looked like a little kid on Christmas morning.

"Here we go" Klaus said as he poured Luther some coffee in a mug "This'll fix you up, Luther" he said before he poured up another cup of coffee.

"You do know that I could walk down here by myself, right?" you asked "Yeah, but I didn't want you to overworked yourself" Five said and you rolled your eyes before you limp over to the chair "Let me help you" Five said as he rushed to your side "No. Let me do it myself" you continued limping over the kitchen table while Five was walking right next to you, ready to help you.

Five pulled out a chair for you before he help you sit down "Here you go" he said "Thanks" you said.

You then looked at Luther "What's going on with you?" you asked "Why do you care?" Luther asked "Because I think heard some weird noises from your room last night" you said.

"Well, Sis. Those noises was Luther having fun with some girl. He was doing some dilly-dallying. He popped his cherry!" Klaus said happy "Well, good for you. I assume there are not many women on the moon" you said "Can't you guys just leave me alone" Luther said "Would love to" you said.

Luther sighed before he grabbed the cup and was about to take a sip when Five took the cup out of his hand before he handed it to you "There you go, Love" he said "Thank you, Honey" you said and he kissed your cheek.

"Quite the gentleman I see" Klaus said as he poured Five some coffee and Five grabbed the cup before he sat down on Luther's left side and on your right.

"By the way, I saw you two last night, when I peek in to see if you needed anything and I saw you guys in bed together. You looked so adorabel, the way you guys were cuddling" Klaus said as he pointed at you and Five while Five took a sip of the coffee.

"Nice okay" Klaus said as Five's reaction on the taste of the coffee was in pure disgust "Jesus. Who do I gotta kill to get a decent cup of coffee?" Five asked as he put down the mug.

You were about to take a sip of your coffee but Five took the mug out of your hands "Hey!" you said "Trust me, you don't want to drink that" he said as he put down the mug.

"I will like to be the judge of that" you said before you grabbed your mug again and took a sip.

Your reaction on the taste of the coffee was in pure disgust "Warned you" Five said "Well, I had worse" you took another sip "Thanks, little sis" Klaus said, taking it as a compliment.

"Can we get started?" Luther asked in a voice like he wasn't in a mood for a meeting at all.

"Anyone seen any of the others? Diego? Allison? No?" Klaus asked while looking around the kitchen. "All right, then, this is the closest thing to a quorum...that we're gonna get" he said and tapped on the table causing Luther to groan "Now, listening up. There's no easy way to say this, so I'm just gonna spit it out" Klaus said.

"This is a bad idea" Ben said "Yeah" Klaus said as he was staring into nothing.

The three of you looked at him waiting for him to continued but he just stood still while staring into nothing, without saying anything.

"Klaus" Luther said "I conjured Dad last night" Klaus said causing the you, Luther and Five to look confused at him.

You all knew that Klaus couldn't conjured anyone because he have been so high and he had been high for years and now suddenly he told you that he conjured your dad, therefore you look at him like you didn't want to believe it.

But you could see on your brother's face that he wasn't lying.

"You said you haven't been able to conjure anyone in years" Luther said "Ah, yes, I know, but I'm sober. Ta-da! I got clean, yesterday, to talk to someone special, and then ended up having up having this...conversation with dead old Daddy himself" Klaus said.

"Well, I believe him" you said as you looked at Klaus who smiled at you.

There was a minute of silence before Luther spoke up "Has anyone got some aspirin?" Luther asked "On the shelf, next to the crackers" Five answered "Hey, hey, hey. This is serious, guys, all right? This really happened, I swear" Klaus said "Can't you two listen to him and believe what he is saying for once" you said to Five and Luther.

"Okay, fine. I'll play" Five said before he learned forwards "What did the old man have to say?" he asked with a smile.

"Well, he gave me the usual lecture about my appearance and my failures in life. Yada yada yada. No surprise there. Even the afterlife couldn't soften a hardass like Dad, right? But he did mention something about his murder, or lack thereof, because..." Klaus said and the two looked at him.

"Wait for it" Ben said as he raised his finger "...He killed himself" he finished before he looked down with a sad face while Luther just stared at him in disbelief.

"I don't have time for your games, Klaus" he said before getting up and he turned around ready to leave but you stood in his way "Sit down monkey boy and listen to him" you said "Or what?" Luther asked "Or I'm gonna break both your legs" you said before sending Luther a death glare.

"I'm telling you the truth, Luther. I'm telling you the truth" Klaus said.

"Why'd he do it, then?" Five asked "He said it was the only way to get us all home again" Klaus said "No. Dad wouldn't just kill himself" Luther said as he turned to Klaus "Ah, you said it yourself. He was depressed" you said "She's right. He holed up in his office and room all day and night" Five said "No. There weren't any signs. Suicidal people exhibit certain tendencies, strange behaviors" Luther said "Like sending someone to the Moon for no reason?" Klaus asked "Burned" you mumbled.

"I swear to God, Klaus, if you're lying..." "I'm not. I'm not" Klaus said, cutting Luther off.

"Master Klaus is correct" a voice said and the four turned to see Pogo entering the kitchen.

"So did Grace. It was a difficult choice for both of us. More difficult than you could ever know" he said before taking a step closer to them "Prior to your father's death, Grace's programming was adjusted so that she was incapable of administering first aid on that fateful night" Pogo said "Sick bastard" you and Five muttered.

"So the security tape we saw?" Luther asked "It was meant to further the murder mystery" Pogo said and Luther let out a scoffs "Your father hoped that being back here, solving it together...would reignite your desire to be a team again" Pogo said "And for what end?" Five asked "To save the world, of course" Pogo answered "All right" Klaus said with a small laugh.

"First the Moon mission and now this" Luther said, looking down before he looked at Pogo "You watched me search for answers and said nothing" he said and Pogo looked down "Anything else you want to share, Pogo? Any other damn secrets?" Luther asked aggressive "Hey, calm down, Luther" you, Five and Klaus said "No, I won't calm down. We've been lied to by the one person in this family we all trusted" Luther said more aggressive "It was your father's dying wish, Master Luther. I...I had no choice" Pogo said letting out a sigh.

"There's always choice" Luther said before he left.

Five put his hands to his head, tugging his hair in frustration and you put your hand on his back "No point beating yourself up about it, the old bastard will never make any sense" you said.

"I gotta think" Five got up and walked over to you before helping you up "Come let's get you back to bed" he blinked you back to the bedroom.

"Five, I don't need to rest. We need to save the world" you said "But--" "No but" you said, cutting him off "We only have two days left before the apocalypse and I'm gonna help stopping it and I swear if you try to force me back in bed, I will punch you right in the face" you said.

"Are you sure. We can also just stay here" he said "Five, I love you, but you know that I can't sit still when we are in a situation like this. So staying here, laying in bed, resting, is actually worse than getting shot" you said.

"Darling, are you sure?" he asked "I am completely fine. Look" you started bending your arms again and again.

"Full rang of motion, no pain" you kept bending your arms "Stop, stop, stop" he said.

"Uh, uh" you continue doing it "Would you stop with the 'uhs'" he said "Uh" you said as you did it again "Stop" he said and you stopped.

"I'm fine" you said and he let out a sigh "Alright, just promise me not to overwork yourself" he said "I promise" you said "Good and if anything hurt, you tell me. Alright?" he asked and you nodded "I will" you smiled before you rested your foreheads against each other.

"I better changed into something that isn't my old pyjamas" you took some steps back "Do you need any help with changing?" Five asked as he raised a brow in a flirting way while you turned to face him "I know what you what, and we are not gonna do that" you grabbed a dark green shirt that Five had pick out for you.

"Beside you should have taking the offer when I offered it to you before" you took off the pyjamas "I only rejected it 'cause I was scared that your stitches would open up" he said "Well too bad Honey. You have to wait till we have saved the world" you pulled the green shirt over your body.

When you had changed clothes and had put your hair up in the ponytail, you and Five walked into Klaus' room who was laying in his bed doing something with a string and two sticks.

"Hey. Get up. We're going" Five said as you both entered the room "Where?" Klaus asked "To save the world" you said "Oh, is that all? Great" Klaus said before he sat up on the bed.

"So, Pogo said Dad killed himself to get us all back together, right?" Five asked as he was walking back and forth in the room like he always do when he was thinking and talking at the same time. You used to tease him about it.

 "Yeah, so?" Klaus asked as he was getting dress "So it got me and Y/n/n thinking. We had to jump to the future to figure out when it happened" Five said "But Dad, he can't time travel. So how'd the crazy bastard actually know to kill himself a week before the end of the world?" you asked "Well, you know..." "Don't answer. That was purely rhetorical" Five said cutting Klaus off as he was pointing his finger at him while Klaus gave him a look.

"Truth is, our whole lives, he's been telling us we'd save the world from an impending apocalypse" Five said "Yeah, but I always thought he just said that to scare us into doing the dishes" Klaus said as he put on his shoes "Me too" you said "But what if the old man really knew it was going to happen?" Five said "Yeah, but knew how?" Klaus asked "No idea. But the fact remains his fakakta plan worked. We all came home" Five said "So since we're here we might as well save the world" you said "Oh, yeah? What, like the three of us?" Klaus asked "Uh, well, ideally, no, but..." Five said "Gotta work what we've got" you said as the three of you walked out of the bedroom.

Then you heard the sound of running footsteps and someone grunting and you saw Diego came running towards his room.

"Where have you been?" you asked "Jail" Diego said as he rush into his room "Long story. Where's Luther?" Diego asked "Haven't seen him since breakfast" Five said "Yeah. Two days until the world ends, he picks a great time to drop off the grid" you said "Shit. Allison is in danger" Diego said causing Five and Klaus to look at each other.

"Shit. Allison is in danger" Diego said causing the three of you to share a look.

"We need to get Luther" Diego said "You guys get Luther, I will find Allison" you walked past them but Five grab your wrist "No, you are staying here" he said "Five, Allison is all alone, plus we don't know what that guy have filled Vanya's head with, so I better be there" you said "You can get hurt, we don't know what that guy is cable of" Five said "I will be fine" you put his face in your hands.

"Don't forget I am also a train assassin, I survived an apocalypse with you, plus handling you alone for 45 years. I can handle this" you said "Just be careful" he said "I will" you then gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving.

"Come on guys, let's get Luther" Five said and the three left.
