CHATER ONE: HOW IT ALL STARTED

"In five, four, three, two...This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for Channel 2 News outside of the Capital West bank at Main and Sixth. A group of heavily armed men stormed the bank not three hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages" a reporter said to the camera.

"Hey! Get them behind the counter!" an armed guy yelled at a man from the group just as the alarm started blaring "Now you've put me in a position where I gotta do something I don't want to do" the guy said through the radio "Shit" he said as he lower the radio.

Then Allison walked up to the man, getting his attention "Hey, get back with the others" the guy said to her "I heard a rumor" Allison said "What? What did you say?" the guy asked and leaned closer to Allison, who smiled and leaned forward "I heard a rumor, that you shot your friend in the foot" she said and a wave of energy travled out of her mouth and into the guy's ears which cause his eyes to turn white for a few seconds, before he turned towards his friend and pointed a gun at him "Hey, dude?" the man asked as he saw his friend was pointed a gun at him "What the hell?" he asked and the guy shot him in the foot causing him to fell to the floor, setting his own gun off, smashing the windows above the hostages causing them to scream in panic.

"We just heard shots from inside the bank. It's uncertain if any hostages have been harmed in there" the reporter said.

"Up there" someone shouted and everyone looked up to see someone running up on the roof. "There's some movement on the roof. Possibly law enforcement" the reporter said.

You and Luther was running up on the roof. Luther jumped through the glass ceiling first and you followed right behind.

Luther quickly grabbed one of the robber behind the counter and he smashed the man's head into the counter before he throw the body out of the top window with his super strength.

The people outside screamed as they saw the man got throwing out "Look like one of the armed robbers has been thrown from the bank" the reporter said.

You stretched your arm towards one of the rubbers and with your powers, you created some wind which cause the guy to be lifted up in mid-air before getting throw against a wall.

"Guns are for sissies. Real men throw knives" Diego said as he came running into the room, before throwing his knives. The knives turned in the air and piercing an armed robber's body to the wall who groaned before he fell to the floor.

One of the robbers pointed his gun on you and you lifted up your hands while you stared at the gun and after a few seconds the gun started glowing red by the heat as it became warmer and warmer causing the man to let while groaning in pain.

You smiled before you made a fireball with your hands and you throw it at the robber, hitting him by the shoulder causing to scream in pain.

One of the robber was standing on the counter pointing his gun at Diego, Allison, Klaus, you and Ben. "Get back, you freaks" the robber said while backing away "Hey, be careful up there, buddy" Diego said "Get back now!" the robber said "Wouldn't want you to get hurt" Allison said "I said get back" the robber said.

"Can't we just talk about this" you said as you took a step forward which cause the robber to point his gun at you "I said get back" the robber said.

Suddenly Five appeared behind the guy, sitting on the counter with his legs cross "Or what?" Five asked making the robber turned around and pointed his gun at Five.

The robber pulled the trigger, but Five reach to blink away before the bullets could hit him. The robber shot a few times at that place where Five have just been a few seconds ago.

Five appeared behind the man again, looking at him while waiting for him to turn around and when he did, he pointed his gun at Five, but instead of a gun, the robber was holding a stapler in his hand and Five looked at the stapler.

"Ooh! That's one badass stapler!" Five said before he pushed it to the man's head, knocking him out "That was for threatening my girl" Five said.

But then another robber pointed his gun at Five but suddenly the robber was lifted up in mid-air before being thrown into a wall causing him to grunt.

You then kicked another robber in the face, knocking him to the floor.

Five turned his head to look at you "Thanks" he said "Anytime" you said as you two look at each other with a smile.

"Although there's been no activity for a few minutes, we're gonna stay live on location to make sure we don't miss anything in this hostage situation at the Capital West bank" the reporter said.

The last guy fell down on his knees as you a tight grip on his wrist using your powers to take his stamina and energy.

He let out a grunt before passing out as he fell to the floor.  

"Now is your turn Ben" Luther said 

"Do I really have to do this?" Ben asked, in a voice that he didn't wanted to do this "I know Ben, I don't like it either, but we have too" you said and Ben nodded "Come on, Ben. There's more guys in the vault" Luther said "It's okay Ben, the faster we get this done, the quicker we will be back home" you said and Ben looked at you "You can do this Ben. We all believe in you" you said with a smile and Ben nodded with a sigh "I didn't sign up for this" he said as he walked into the vault, closing the door after him.

Other than Five, Ben was the one that you were closest to of the siblings. 

You looked at Luther and punched him on the shoulder "Asshole" you said "Why?" Luther asked "Because we all know that Ben don't like doing things like that" you said "It has to be him, he had the skills" Luther said and you rolled your eyes.

"Now we see the hostages. They---they're free. They're scared, clearly, but they do seem to be unharmed" the reporter said as the hostage came running out of the building.

You and the other siblings looked through the vault's window and you heard beast screeches and people screaming as you saw what look like arms from a octopus moving around the room. The windows got covered in blood from the inside before everything went quiet.

The door opened and Ben who was covered in blood walked out with a sad look on his face. He sighed as he looked at his siblings "Can we go home now?" he asked as his breathes shakily.

"People are coming out now. It's not the armed robbers. These are young schoolchildren in uniformes with masks on. Jim Hellerman, Channel 2 News" the reporter said as you and the six others lined up, posing and some was smiling.

Luther was standing next to Diego while Allison was standing between Diego and Klaus and Klaus had his left arm rested on Five's right shoulder while you were standing between Five and Ben.

"Hey, Y/n/n" Five said and you looked at him "Thank you for having my back" he said "Anytime Short pants" you said "What would I do without you?" he asked "You would always have me, 'cause I will always be by your side" you said and the two of you smiled to each other.

You then looked at Ben who was looking down on the ground "It's okay Ben, we will be home soon and I will help you wash that blood off and then we will all go to Griddy's Doughnuts. What do you say about that?" you asked and Ben gave you a small smile while he nodded "Don't worry" you said as you looked at him "Soon, we will all be adults and we can do whatever we want, and you can choose not to use your powers" you said "I like that. I dream about becoming a doctor when I grow up, helping stitching people up instead of tearing them apart" Ben said "You do that, 'cause that sound like a good dream" you said and the two of you smiled to each other "Thanks Y/n" Ben said "Anytime, Benny" you said.

"Hey Y/n/n" Five said and you looked at him "You did a great job today" he said, giving you a smile "You did a good job as well" you said before you looked at Klaus, Allison and Diego "Yo guys" you said and the three looked at you "You three did great too" you said and they all smiled to her "You too" they said. You then looked at Ben "You did a great job as well, Ben" you said and he gave you a smile.

"What about me?" Luther asked and you looked him "You did okay" you said in a not so happy tone "That's all, I did okay" Luther said "What do you want, a cookie?" you asked him causing the others to hold in a laugh.

"Our world is changing. Has changed. There are some among us gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary. I have adopted seven such children. I give you the inaugural class of the Umbrella Academy. The goal of the Umbrella Academy is to protect and honor the city using the wonderful powers that these kids have been gifted" Reginald announced.

"Mr. Hargreeves, Channel 9 news. What happened to their parents?" a reporter asked "They were suitably compensated" Reginald said "Are you concerned about the welfare of the children?" another reporter asked "Of course" Reginald said "Liar" you whispered "Yeah, it's bullshit" Five whispered back.

"As I am for the fate of the world" Reginald finished.

Then Five wrapped his arm around you "Sneak out with me tonight" he whispered in your ear.

You looked at him before letting out a smile while you blush.

You must admit that you and Five hang out together way too much for you two to be just friends, you have of course never kissed or talk about the subject. So you could only say that you were best friends.

Both of you were too shy to actually talk to the other about it.

"I'll take that as a yes" he said with a smile.

You and your siblings just got back from the bank.

Five was easy to annoy and you were now annoying him how his voice cracked a bit when encountering a robber.

"That's one badass sTaPLeR!" you mimicked his voice, annoying him even more with a giggle. You were been repeating that line for the tenth time and you never got tired teasing him about it.

"Shut up, Y/n/n. We're 13 and going through puberty. Of course my voice would crack" Five said "Well, your voice cracked at a very wrong time" you said with a small chuckled "I hate you so much" he said, even so it was a lie.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I hurt the mighty Five's feelings" you teased and Five looked at you "Do I you want me to make your favorite sandwich, your highness?" you teased "You're so annoying" Five said but with a small smile.

You smiled before you ruffled his hair "Hey, you know I hate it when you do that" he said as he fix his hair again but you just smiled and Five frowned at you before he walked away.

You then turned to Ben who was one of your closest friend you have on the Academy. You weren't really close with Luther and Allison, but you managed to talk to them anyway.

"You should go to the bathroom, Ben. Wash up and maybe we can do something" you said and Ben looked at you with a smile "Are you finally gonna confess your love for Five?" Ben asked and you looked at him "What? No! And I don't love him, stop that Ben" you said and he chuckled "Your ears turn red when you lie and your face are blushing red, so that say differently" he said and you rolled your eyes.

"He is right" Vanya approached the two of you "You have a crush on Five" she said "No I don't. Beside even if I did, he would never feel the same" you said.

"Hey" a voice said and you turned around to see Five holding a second sandwich in his hand "Take it or I'll eat it" he said as he offered it to you.

You grabbed the sandwich before you kissed him on the cheek causing him to freeze.

"Thanks Five" you said before walking away, leaving Five frozen.

He turned around while putting his left hand up to his right cheek where you have just kissed it.

He watch you walk away as he slid his hand down from his cheek.

"Having a little crush there" Ben said and Five looked at him.

"No" Five said "Stop denying it Five, that wouldn't work. Tell Y/n that you like her, it's not that hard" Ben said "Why don't you go read a book or something" Five said a little annoying "That way you are acting right now, just tells that you are in love" Ben said with a smile before he walked away.

The kids were all in the living room, talking and laughing.

"Okay, that was a good one, Y/n/n" Five said as he laughed before the two of you looked at each other with a smile "You are so adorable" Ben said "One day you two will get married" Klaus said which cause you and Five to look confused at Klaus without saying anything.

"To each other" Klaus said "Ugh!" "Ew!" you and Five said as you looked at each other "Mmm-mm. That's not gonna happen, Klaus" Five said as he looked back at Klaus "Never ever" you said "Y/n/n and I are friends" Five said "Come on, imagine the love story, you two will tell your kids one day" Klaus said while the others laughed "Stop it guys" you said as you and Five got up.

"Come on, where are you guys going?" Diego called out to them "Away from you guys" you said as you and Five left the room.

"Can you believe that the others think that we will get married?" you asked Five "Yeah, is stupid. That is never going to happen" Five said "Never, 'cause we are best friend and nothing more" you said "Yeah" he said before the two of you looked at each other with a smile.
