That night, I was really thinking hard on what I should do to escape this place. He doesn't have a freaking clock inside the house so I don't know what I should do.

He doesn't even have a single food in his fridge that we can cook.

"I have to escape." I muttered to myself. Vincent sitting at the couch, a gun in hand and he can point that on me anytime soon. But he can't.

Then I got alerted when he turned the tv off and stood up. "Time for bed, sweetheart."

"What?" I broke from my thoughts.

"Lets go." He grabbed my hand and raised me from the chair that I was sitting as he dragged me upstairs not so gently. "I will get our daughter tomorrow."

My eyes widen hearing what he said. He is not getting near my Avery and I fucking won't let him. Over my dead body.

I have to play along tonight if I need to survive for my daughter because I'm sure, if he kills me...he will take Avery next and that is something that I can't take. My daughter has to be safe if I die in his hands.

We arrive in our room, without any lights coming from outside because all of the windows are blocked.

Vincent suddenly took my hand and in a swift second, I heard it clicked. He just placed a handcuff on me! He cuffed my other hand on the side of the bed where the board is and I was locked in place.

"What is this?"

"To make sure that you won't escape." He breathe out as he lay in bed next to me. "I won't touch you tonight but prepare for tomorrow because I will see to get you pregnant so you won't escape me ever again."

My heart started to pound. He is going to torture me for sure. I have to escape as soon as I can but how? I need Zephyr. I'm sure he will be worried one he finds out that I didn't arrive at the club and knowing what happened to Kyle. Something went wrong. How I wish Zephyr will find out about this that it was Vincent who did this. He is the only way.

I didn't even slept even a wink that night. My mind was too preoccupied at the moment. I've been scanning the room but it's too dark to see what's around.

This is going to be a one long night. But I have to be brave. This is just Vincent. I can survive this.

Zephyr's POV

I loosened my tie as I sat my back against my office chair. Jeez, the meeting I had with the boys are very stressful. We can't somehow came up with a idea that we all agree to. But it was nice.

I turned to my alarm clock on the desk to know what time it is.

12:43 am

Eleina must be done singing so she is just working at this floor. I stood up from the chair and arranged my suit jacket before leaving the office to see that I have tons of customers at this floor.

I scan the area to search for Eleina but she is not around. In the restroom, maybe?

Donna was just here and she quickly noticed me. "Hey, I see you already arrived."

"Where's Eleina?"

"She didn't arrive last night."
She replied. "I thought she was with you."

My eyebrows touched in confusion. "She didn't?"

"Nope. She and Kyle." Donna answered, shrugging. "I told you, Zephyr. Something is going on between those two. I assure you."

I have no time for these shit. I don't accuse Eleina of something because I trust him. She told me that she and Kyle are just friends then I will believe it right away. And I know Kyle is not the type of guy who will do something to Eleina. I trust them both and I know something is wrong. Especially now that Kyle is involved.

I just need to see for myself what is going on.

I brought my phone out to call Eleina but it seems like her phone is off.

"Eleina, what are you thinking right now?" I huffed, marching my way back to the office and this time, dialling Kyle's number. But he didn't fucking answer. What are these two thinking?

Arriving back to my office, I heard that my business telephone was ringing. I strides towards it and answered. "Hello?"

"Hello, Sir. Is this Mr. Cloud?"

"Yes, who is speaking?"

"This is from the Crimson Medical Hospital, Mr. Cloud. We just want to inform you that one of your male employee has been shot. He was looking for you."

Male employee? Kyle? But where is Eleina?

"I'm on my way." Maybe he had some answered.

I locked my office door and left the club using the back entrance that is only made just for me. Anyways, who would even shot Kyle? The last time that I heard that he had a fight with someone when we were in middle school. And no one more.

So I was driving to the hospital in speed. I feel like my mind is too occupied right now. Shit, I don't feel good about this one. Something is wrong.

I went straight to the emergency room and I see tons of patients there so searched through each ward then my eyes caught a familiar man at the last section.

"What happened to you?"

Kyle was sitting up but pain is very visible in his face. The doctor is stopping him from trying to sit but he is just too stubborn.

He had a bandage wrapped around his torso and he seems to be okay but in pain. He had no top on so I can see clearly where he was shot because there are blood on it.

"He's been shot at the back and good thing that the bullet shot through him and it wasn't stuck inside him." The Doctor explained.

"Zephyr, you have to listen to me. Eleina is in trouble. She was taken by the man who shot me." Kyle grabbed my shoulder and told me those to my face.

Everything around me just crumbled hearing that my girl is in trouble. He shot Kyle? Why? Who would put her in trouble?

"Do you know who he is?" I asked, my voice was low and a little hoarse.

Kyle tried to visualise who it was and I know he is trying his best. "If you remembered the time that we saved Eleina from this creepy pervert who is tying to rape her in Section C."

Then it slowly sinks in to me. I remembered that face.

"Vincent?"

"Yeah, that's it!" Kyle nodded. "I heard her mention it and I was taking her away from him because he is bother her and then he shot me from behind. Who is he in her life anyway?"

"Avery's Dad." I murmured and then there is something in me that Avery can also be in danger. I have to take her somewhere safe that no one can touch her.

"Avery needs to be safe. The guy is crazy and looks so obsessed with Eleina." Kyle continued to speak but he was cupping his bandage that was wrapped around his stomach where his wounds are.

Eleina is in trouble.

That motherfucker had his hands on Eleina and I swear to God that if something happened to her and I will surely loose it. I am gonna kill that asshole with my own hands.

Elein doesn't deserve to experience such horror anymore. And I promised myself that I will protect her from him and I just freaking failed. I have to do everything in my power to find her and save her from Vincent. He's a psychopath as she says. And he might do something that I don't want to know. There is also a possibility that he will hurt her. And I don't want that imagine the things might happen because I am going to be crazy.

I ran out of the hospital and I have to hurry up and go to Eleina's apartment. Avery must be asleep right now and so is the babysitter.

But now is not the right time.

I have to save Avery and protect her. Like what Eleina always do.

Vivian already knows me because I always take Eleina how so she should trust me.

Arriving at the apartment, I can feel how my heart pounds inside my chest as my ears were throbbing. I knocked on their door and it took a while before Vivian could open it. Oh thank God, nothing happened here.

"Mr. Cloud, what are you doing here? Ms. Valentin is still at work." Vivian yawned while scratching her eyes.

"No, she is not at work. She was kidnapped." I stated.

And her eyes widen in shock. "Kidnapped?"

"Yes, he was kidnapped by a guy named Vincent and Avery can be in danger. She needs to get out of here." I told her and she quickly moved.

I'm happy that he trusted me right away and I don't want Avery to be shocked or anything as well.

I stepped inside their place as I lock the door again. "Just pack her things. You don't need to take them all but just enough. As long we leave this place right away."

Vivian packed her things inside this pink bag while I go get Avery.

She was sleeping peacefully in her sleep and I don't want to wake her up but she nudges a little and she seems to sense that something is moving around inside the house causing her to wake up.

"Zephyr?" Her eyes were half closed as she scratched them. She seems confused to see me.

"Hey, little one." I spoke in soft voice as I caressed her hair.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

I just gave her a gentle smile. "Momma is in my place and she wanted me to get you and Vivian. Is that okay with you?"

"Why?"

"She is working so hard that she fell asleep there but she wanted you with her." I whispered, kissing her forehead. "So, do you trust me?"

It took long before Avery could nod her head. "I trust you."

"Okay, so lets go. Vivian is coming with us." I picked her up slowly in my arms and carried her carefully to my car. Vivian was here with us until I drive them to my mansion.

The subdivision is very strict so it is hard for them to get to Avery. I have also maintain that she won't be shock to know that Eleina is in trouble. She doesn't have to know because she is is too innocent to know about what her father is doing. She doesn't deserve to know a single thing about her crazy Dad. She needs someone caring and will act as a role model. And I can do that.

I will stand as his father until she gets old because I love her and her mom so dearly to me. They are my world now and they are my comfort. They will be the end of me.

We arrived at my mansion and I'm still carrying Avery in my arms. I don't have a room for guests so I just placed her down on my own room. She fell asleep at the car so I didn't bother waking her up.

Vivian placed her things inside the mansion.

I know this is happen so suddenly but Avery can be caught by Vincent in a blink of an eye and I can't let him have her as well. Now, I am thinking of a plan on how to locate Eleina. Damn, she needs be found right away.

And I know one person who is good at these kinds of troubles.

I grabbed my phone and scanned through my contacts and saw his name right away.

"Hello, my friend." He answered at the third ring.

"Rune." I begun, clearing my voice. "I need your help."

He chuckled at the other line. "I know. That's the only reason why you are calling me right now."

"I'm serious."

"Of course, you are. You are always serious." Rune continued trying to ease the huge tension. "So, what's up?"

"I want you to locate someone."

"A certain guy named Vincent. Let's meet at the club in ten minutes to show you what he looks like. Tell me his full name, his background, where he lives, everything. As long as I can destroy his life."

Rune laughed. "Straight as always. I'm on my way."

Rune Crawford. The man who had dirt in his hands. He's an agent in this organisation that the government can't hold. They are the one who controls the action against drug lords, serious gangs, taking down illegal business, killing powerful people and even terrorists. And Rune is the most amazing man he knew that can do some magic at times like this. Well, he is a genius.

"Vivian, I will be back in a few hours. I have already called someone that can locate where Eleina is." I told her.

"But Mr. Cloud, I have to leave by morning because I also have a daughter and husband waiting for me." Vivian mentioned. So she can't stay long.

"Okay, I will take care of Avery."

She nods and that was my turn to leave.

Getting in my car again but this time I took my Lamborghini because I have to drive fast. I can't waste any time. I want Eleina safe right now and beside me. She must be really scared right now in the hands of that creep.

But just you wait, Eleina. I will find you and save you from that Vincent.

We have checked the CCTV footage of my club. Those scene that Vincent made an entrance to my club so that he could scan his face and find his real identity. I let Rune do his thing because I don't understand all the things that he is doing at the computer but he is doing a great lead. He put it inside this USB port.

This guy is amazing. Working at that task force that he is telling, he is was trained well.

"I have to go my office first, Zephyr. I will call you once I found out something." Rune informed as he hops in his car. "Don't worry, my friend. Everything will be alright. Wait for my call before the clock reaches 8."

"You are so full of yourself, Rune." I muttered, burying my hands inside my pocket. "But I think I will depend on that one. Thank you."

"You, Stephan and Lucas always doubt my ability." He stated, faking hurt. "But when you ask for my help, you beg me. But I get it. You boys, need me in your life."

I scoffed and smacked the back of his head. "Fuck off."

Rune just laughed at me as his face turns serious once again. "Wait, where does Eleina lives?"

"At the Jenwood Street. It's the only apartment in that area." I replied.

Then a hint of smile appeared in him. "Do you think that there is any chance that Vincent will come to get his daughter?"

My mind quickly got fixed as I also realise what he is thinking. He must try and take Avery as well.

"What if he doesn't?"

"But I still will let someone guard the apartment in a distance. I have my men take care of it." He assured me and gave me a pat on the head. "Take care, buddy."

He finally hops inside his car and drove away.

Trust Rune is what I should do right now. Everything about him. So know what I should do is inform Martha of what happened and the plans towards Avery. This can really shock her but we have no choice.

I inhaled deeply and everything is still not sinking into me. I don't want to rest knowing that Eleina is still out there and she must be terrified right now in the hands of Vincent. My mind won't just calm down and it keeps on running to different kinds of thoughts.

Shit.

I can do this. For Eleina. I love her and there is no way I will give up on this. So is Avery. I will protect them with my life.
