it had been a full year since evan and teagan's first, and most definitely awkward, conversation.

evan dabbed his mouth with his napkin. "that was really good!" he exclaimed.

"it was! much better than your oven made noddles." teagan teased.

evan smiled widely at his girlfriend's remark. "that..was a one time thing!" he laughed.

"if that's what you want to keep telling yourself!"

after paying and tipping, evan rose out of his seat and helped teagan out of hers. he couldn't help but notice how stunning she looked in her little black dress.

then again, he thought she looked stunning in sweatshirts and sweatpants.

"ready to go home?" evan asked, getting in the car.

"as much as i enjoyed date night, i am ready to go home. i can't wait to get in our warm bed and cuddle up!" answered teagan, holding evan's hand for a moment.

"well then that's exactly what we'll do!"

evan slid a cd into the car's cd player.

"somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me.."

teagan bursted out laughing. "did you really-"

"what? make a cd with all our myspace songs? you bet i did!"

the couple laughed in unison, than began to sing as loud as they could.

"hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play!"
"hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid!"

"how about eagan?"

"uh huh. i don't like that one."

after coming home and taking showers, the couple did as they planned and relaxed in bed.

"well i give up!" evan sighed.

teagan let out a small and tired giggle.

they both stared at the ceiling trying to think of conversations, not ready to say goodnight to one another.

"hey tee, i've been thinking-"

"that can't be good!" joked teagan.

"ha! ha!" said evan sarcastically

evan reached over for teagan's hand. he held it tightly as he spoke to her.

"i feel like..this..us...was meant to happen. think about it. i just happen to call a hotline and just so happen to get an answer from a single lady close to my age."

"i guess that is pretty special." teagan replied, smiling.

"and," Evan continued "it's special that we made a connection unlike your other clients who you were uninterested with. also, we met a whole 24 hours before we had planned. it's like..the universe couldn't wait for us to meet!

teagan nodded agreeing with him.

"and, we have lots in common! we both love memes and we love shrek!"

"i never said i loved shrek."

"yet, you haven't set bathroom shrek on fire."

"don't test me!"

evan smiled and closed his eyes. "what i'm trying to say is, i'm not sure what i did to deserve you, but i'm glad i did whatever it was. i love you tee."

"i love you too." teagan responded leaning over to give him a kiss.

the room fell quiet for a minute as teagan and evan stopped trying to fight their sleepiness.

"evan!"
