3rd P.O.V.

The Next Day....

It was the beginning of the battle that will determine humanity fate if earth should be conquered or not as the announcer speak through the speaker while the giant crowd in the stadium cheer on for their respective representatives.

Announcer: Humanity is about to face aliens in a game of tag deciding the fate of the planet! The time limit is 10 days set up to sun up to sundown! Representing Earth is highschool Y/n Moroboshi! If he manages to grab hold of the invader Lum head, Earth will be victorious! If not Earth will be invaded!

In the middle of the stadium, Y/n and Lum stood in front of each other with some distance between them.

Y/n: Hey, no hard feelings afterward?

Lum: Ha! You think I'll lose that easily~

Announcer: On your marks...

Y/n get into position while Lum stood there with a smirk on her face. Shinobu and Ataru cheer for Y/n from the bleachers.

Shinobu: Be careful Y/n!

Ataru: Win this for us, bro!

Announcer: Get set...

After announcer pull the trigger, starting the game. Y/n immediately rush towards Lum ready to grab her. However, he was in for a surprise when dodge his grab by flying high up in the air surprising everyone in the stadium.

Y/n: You can fly?!

Lum: Surprise?

Y/n: No one told me you can fly! How is that fair?

Lum: Sorry, you should have done your research. Come and get me if you can!

Y/n: Hold on!

Afterwards Y/n chase after Lum across the stadium while Shinobu and his family cheer for him.

Shinobu: You got this!

Moroboshi family: Good luck, Y/n!

While both side of stadium cheer on for their respective representatives. Y/n continue failing on grabbing Lum as each time he tries to grab her, she just fly higher from his reach making it difficult for him to catch her.

Y/n: This is impossible... how can I catch someone who can fly?

Lum hover over his head as she taunts him.

Lum: Well earthling is that all you got? *giggle*

Y/n: Hell, no! I'm just getting started!

Continuing the chase throughout the day until sundown.

Later....

Throughout the four days since the game began, Y/n has been chasing Lum across the city doing many parkours to catch up with her. Which impressed her and many people who been watching the chase scene from their screens. Since each time he almost manage grab her, which put many people in suspense including Lum's people.

However, she still manage slip through his grasp each time which annoyed Y/n a bit but at the same time was having fun as well. The same thing can be said for Lum, herself since she was having the time of her life with Y/n almost catching her. And Shinobu can tell the two are enjoying themselves with each other company as she can only feel envy towards Lum for having Y/n attention all to herself.

Afternoon...

Y/n is seen chasing after Lum through some rooftop as he felt his body burning up from exhaustion.

Lum: Come on! You almost caught me!

Y/n: *panting in exhaustion*

Reaching his hand toward her, he lunged forward to grab her but she flew up in the air missing his grasp once again.

Y/n: Damn it!

This led Y/n to collapsed on the roof from exhaustion after a long day of chasing. As the announcer fly over him from the helicopter to declare another fail.

Announcer: Yet another sunset without him being able to catch her.

Y/n: Damn... there's only one day left... *thought* And my body feels like is burning up.

Lum is hovering in the sky looking at Y/n from a distance.

Lum: I feel bad for him but it is a competition though and tomorrow, Earth will be ours.

She flies away leaving Y/n on the rooftop by himself as Shinobu manages to find the correct building Y/n is at.

Shinobu: Y/n!

Shinobu rushed to his side as she saw him exhausted and burning up

Y/n: S-Shinobu... water...

Shinobu: Don't worry, Y/n! I got you, let get you home for now.

Y/n: Thank you...

At Night...

After Shinobu managed to help Y/n get back to his house. His parents are watching the new as Lum's father is talking about how they're going to win, easily.

Lum's father: Well earth will be under new ownership soon! Hahaha!

Y/n's father over to turn off the T.V. having the expression of despair on his face.

Father: We're doomed! If they invade earth, the whole family will be labeled as social outcast.

Mom: Don't say that! Y/n won't lose just have faith in him.

Cherry: I agree unlike your other son, who's the definition of bad luck incarnate. Y/n has been blessed with tremendous good luck since the day he was born.

Mom: That's right! Since the day he arrived at our doorstep. Y/n has brought nothing but great fortune for this family! Like the time we won that trip to go to the bath resort. I can still remember that amazing day~

Father: Or the time he won that lottery ticket! Thanks to him, we were able to pays our loans in such a short time. You have no idea how happy I was finally paying off our debts.

Cherry: He's the definition of great luck incarnate.

Mom: So, how come it's not helping him on winning this challenge.

Cherry thinks for a moment.

Cherry: I wonder.... *thought* Is it finally time...?

Mrs. Moroboshi then notice Ataru holding a bucket of water.

Mom: Ataru, what with the bucket?

Ataru: Is for Y/n, he still burning up after Shinobu brought him home. For reason his body won't cool down.

Mom: Oh, dear I better go check on him!

Mrs. Moroboshi rush upstairs to go check on Y/n but for Cherry it confirms his suspicions.

Cherry: It is time...

Father: Huh?

Y/n's bedroom...

Y/n is squirming in bed unable to calm down while Shinobu is seen sitting next to him trying her best cool him down.

Shinobu: Y/n, what's wrong? Do you have a fever?

She said in a concern tone of voice before Mrs, Moroboshi came rushing in the room.

Mom: Y/n!

Shinobu: Mrs. Moroboshi, please help! I'm doing everything I can to cool him down it's not enough.

Mom: Let me see.

Mrs. Moroboshi rush over to her son side as she touch his head.

Mom: Oh my god! He's burning up! What happened to him?

Shinobu: I don't know?! After he failed to catch that alien chick, he collapsed on the rooftop. He was asking for water but no matter how much I give him it's not enough to cool him down.

Mom: We need to get him to the hospital! If his body temperature keeps rising like at this rate. He's going to suffer brain damage!

Shinobu: Oh no! Let's hurry-

Cherry: That won't be necessary!

Shinobu and Mrs. Moroboshi turn to see Ataru and Cherry by the door.

Mom: What do you mean?! Y/n is burning up!

Cherry: I know but I have a solution to help him cool down.

Shinobu: Please tell us!

Cherry: The ocean. Take him to the ocean and dump him in the water.

Ataru smack Cherry on the head.

Ataru: We're not drowning my brother, idiot!

Cherry: Listen to me! Believe me when I say he needs to go to the ocean. I can't explain much right now but you have to trust me. You need to take Y/n to the ocean in order to save his life.

Three of them look Cherry in shock seeing he's telling the truth. Shinobu looks back at Y/n as she sees how much pain he's in.

Y/n: Water... water...

Shinobu: Y/n....

Later....

The a Moroboshi family, Shinobu, Ataru, and Cherry are driving along the side of the highway. Driving as fast they can to reach the ocean.

Y/n: Water...

Shinobu rubs Y/n's forehead with a concern expression.

Shinobu: Hold on, Y/n.

Ataru: How much longer, dad?

Father: We're almost there just another couple of minutes.

Mom: Cherry, what's happening to my son?

Cherry: All I can say he's going through a change.

Shinobu/Ataru/Mom/Father: Change?

They all look at Y/n who's sweating profusely and continue begging for water. Mr. & Mrs. Moroboshi look at one another before nodding in understanding.

Father: Hold on, son!

Mr. Moroboshi press down the gas pedal as he sped up the car.

Y/n P.O.V.

It burns... water... I need water... it getting hard to breathe. Please... someone help... what happening to me?

???: *thought* You're going through an incredible change my son.

Y/n: *thought* Change? What? Why? Who are you?

???: *thought* You'll know soon.

Y/n: *thought* No, wait!

???: *thought* Take care.

As the mysterious voice disappears from my head, I felt the car stop immediately. Then I heard multiple doors open with Mom screaming in the background.

Mom: Hurry! We have to get him to the ocean!

Suddenly I felt my body being carried out of the car as I smell the scent of the ocean clear as day.

Ataru: Are you still with us, Y/n?

Shinobu: Focus, Ataru!

I felt Ataru and Shinobu carry me across the beach sand, listening to the crunching noises as I hear the ocean waves getting closer until we stopped at the ledge of the pier.

Cherry: Ok, this is close enough. Now throw him in the ocean!

Y/n: *thought* Excuse me?!

Mom: This still feels too extreme?

Cherry: Enough wasting time! Throw him!

Y/n: *thought* Wait hold on-

Before I could try to tell them to stop, they through me into the ocean.

I felt my body sinking toward the bottom but for some reason my body started cooling down. More than that I feel...

3rd P.O.V.

The Moroboshi family and Shinobu watch in suspense as they look toward the water waiting for Y/n to rise back up. However after a few minutes, the bubbles stop coming as the water still.

Shinobu: What happened? Why isn't he coming back up!?

Mom: Cherry, you said my son will be ok!

Cherry: Give it a moment. This thing takes time you know.

Ataru: Moment?! My brother is drowning-

Suddenly a large explosion erupted behind them as they all get splash with water.

Moroboshi family/Shinobu: Hey?!

Y/n: YEEAAAHHHH!!!!!!

Moroboshi family/Shinobu: Y/n?!

The Moroboshi family and Shinobu look up at air as they see Y/n in air but they notice something changed about him which caught their attention. As they see him flooding up in the air with his appearance change completely.

Growing out a pair of horns, hair grown to a long length, elongated ears, and sporting a dragon tail. Everyone look on in shock to see Y/n new appearance especially Shinobu herself who couldn't stop blushing.

Shinobu: Is that Y-Y/n...?

Mom: My baby boy became more handsome!

Ataru: Since when did he grow a tail and horns?!

Cherry: What you're all seeing right now is Y/n true form.

The Moroboshi family and Shinobu look back at Cherry confuse.

Father: True form?

Cherry: As you can see for yourself, Y/n is the long lost descendant of Ryũjin. The dragon god of the sea!

Moroboshi family/Shinobu: ....... WHAT?!

Mom: My son is a dragon god!?

Father: How can this be real?

Cherry: Ryũjin is one of the eight dragon kings. He is the lord of the sea and long ago he roamed these water protecting all sea life from danger that he may consider a threat but one day he disappeared never to be seen again. Until now....

Shinobu: Your saying Y/n is the lost child of Ryũjin.

Cherry: Correct.

Everyone turn their attention towards Y/n as they see him flying around happily in the air in the moonlight sky.

Ataru: And here I thought things didn't get any stranger than it is. First alien invasion and my brother is the lost child of a dragon god of the sea.

Shinobu: You think this will give Y/n a chance on winning tomorrow match.

Mom: Let's hope so Shinobu.

Father: Look at him go flying around in the air.

Y/n: This feels amazing!
