There were two girls in college that were roommates. They were both staying at the University over the Christmas holidays because neither one had any family.
     One night, the girls were watching TV when one of the girls said she was hungry and she was just going to go downstairs to get something to eat and she'd be right back really soon. She grabbed the only key to the dorm to use just in case.
     The other girl sat and waited. Finally, she got tired and decided to go to bed. She changed into her PJs and was just about to lay down when she heard a thumping noise, followed by a scratching at her door. She grew terrified but she couldn't lock the door because her roommate had the only key.
     The noises continued throughout the night. At one point, the girl hid in her closet and eventually fell asleep. The next morning, when she woke up, the noises were gone.
     She opened the door of her dorm and screamed in terror. For there, in front of the door, was the dead body of her roommate, an axe in her head and her fingers were torn and bloody from scratching on the door all night.
