Part 13

Wang Yibo POV

When Ji Li went out for a quick pee break, Zhuocheng got my attention and asked,

"What did you figure out regarding this situation?"

"The moon."

"The Moon?"

Yes, the big silver ball that makes the wolf go Aaooooo.

I picked up the laptop and typed on search bar. "When Zhan-ge and I switched bodies, it was full moon." I added.

Zhuocheng was listening to me carefully. So, I continued, "Remember when Zhan-ge said about my 'supposed' friend claiming about Moon Rabbits taking his soul?"

he nodded again.

"I remember my father once told me a story, I wanted to go out of the mansion and he told me about moon rabbits."

"What did he say?" Zhuocheng asked.

"He said if I don't stay inside, a rabbit will come and take my soul away."

Growing up, everyone heard of a legend or two but that was the first time I heard that rabbits could do harm. I became afraid of those cute furballs. But as I grew older, I realized bunnies don't kill, unless they are high on sugar.

"Do you think your father knows something?" Zhuocheng asked. I was having the same thoughts. Should I ask them why they said such a thing? Or maybe they said it to scare me off so I won't go out again? Then again, they could have chosen a scary animal.

Our best option was to keep searching.

Ji Li came back bringing more refreshments, not for us but for himself. Zhuocheng smacked his head and took away the plate from his hand, while he was complaining I shoved the laptop in his empty hand.

"What can you tell us about rabbits?" I asked.

"Interested in your own kind now, are we?" Ji Li raised an eyebrow and Zhuocheng smacked him to put his efforts in work.

My eyes fell on the mirror and I see him, Xiao Zhan. It's true, he looks like a bunny. Those bunny teeth, glossy round nose, cute pink ears and reedy lips. I could imagine a soft cotton tail on his-

Uh No, Wang Yibo, don't go there!

Ji Li's voice brought me back from my fantasy. "There are many, which one do you want Tu er shen, Inaba's hare or the jade rabbit?" Ji Li asked.

Everyone knew about Jade rabbit and Inaba's hare.

"Tu er shen." I voiced.

Ji Li looked at me questionably, a smirk formed on his face. Something tells me it's not good.

"That deity for gays." (° ͡ ͜ ͡ʖ ͡ °)

"..."

"..."

"I'm serious, you know. There is a whole legend behind it!" Ji Li emphasized, laughing. We got up, shut the door to his face and left the house.

Needed to keep it children friendly (;一_一)

"We should do our own research; we'll start with the moon." Zhuocheng suggested. And we both decided to visit the local library.

"Mn."

On our way, we spot a little crowd of people. I am not good with crowds but something was pulling me there. Zhuocheng was walking ahead of me, I thought of taking a quick look and return back to him without him knowing.

The closer I got to the place, the strong my desire to unravel the thing that pulled me towards.

I got close enough to see, a little cat. I wanted to touch the little feline.ԅ(≖‿≖ԅ)

The small number of people that were surrounding the little fella, picked up their routes again. I heard Zhuocheng calling me form the distance. But I wanted to see the cat. I got close enough to it and patted its fur and that's when I realized that the cat was dead.

The dead was calling me!

A sudden surge of fear enclosed me whole, I immediately turned around to go back to Zhuocheng but all I could see was his pale face, shocked at me.

Why? Why do you look at me like that?

I wished to voice out my thoughts but rising darkness, flowed towards me, leaving no light to escape.

"Wang Yibo!!!"

Was the last thing I heard.

. . .

Zhuocheng POV

"Wang Yibo!"

He just poof and vanished.

"Wang Yibo, if you here just give me a sign, anything would do!"

I called to him over and over again but there was not even a sound.

Maybe Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan switched back bodies and two are in their house? Yes, that could be it.

Providing myself with a hope, I dashed towards Xiao Zhan's house. I ran so fast that my lungs felt deprived of air. I stopped to catch my breath before I could choke myself up.

My eyes caught another figure in a distance, he seemed to be in a similar state as mine. I closed the distance between us only to find out that it was that Over Protective brother, Liu Huai Kuan!

Tch. Him again (¬_¬)

Just looking at his face, my insides burn and it makes me really mad to the point that I want to punch someone. They say follow your heart so I went ahead to punch him.

Sensing a presence, he turned around and our eyes met. Why? Why is he crying?

The enemy used the  Tear Card: It was super effective.

My previous anger disappeared without my consent. He leaped towards me and held me shoulders as he shook me,

"H-he... d-disappeared..."

"Huh?"

"My brother...he disappeared!"

Not only Xiao Zhan but Wang Yibo, vanished in thin air.
