Sunken heart and shrouded name
Once removed and twice in shame
did walk and crawl across the dirt
and tried to find rest from the hurt

Stolen from a wounded place
in fear and doubt of any grace
and ran so far into a quiet night
left without warmth or light

All who knew never spoke a sound
passed by a stranger on the ground
Aloof and ambivalent were they suited
Leaving lost heart alone and uprooted
