Chapter Thirty-Eight

MIKAELSON COMPOUND

At 6:00 AM, Klaus stirs awake on the bed and finds that Christy isn't there. His hybrid hearing picks up some sounds from downstairs in the courtyard.

He gently gets up, walks in the hallway and slowly walks up to the second floor balcony railing and sees his wife, Christy, doing some early morning workout.

{Christy Workout Outfit}

Christy is gently and carefully spinning a pair of weapons called manirki in her hands.

Klaus gently walks down the stairs and into the courtyard. "Christy?"

Christy stopped doing her manriki workout and looks at him. "Hey."

"What are you up early?" Klaus asked.

"Can't sleep." Christy said. "My brain is a bit energetic. I'm trying to tire myself out so, I can go to sleep."

Klaus and Christy exchange looks at each other.

"What are you doing up?" Christy asked.

"Concerned about you." Klaus said. "And I'm still awaiting for the other shoe to drop."

"It's like I'm tense. Too tense. Like, I'm not relaxed." Christy said.

Klaus walks up to her and they hug. He feels Christy's body slightly trembling.

"Chris? You're trembling." said Klaus and they gently pulls away from the hug and they exchange worried looks at each other. "What's going on?"

"I don't know, Klaus. But that's just it, I can't calm down." Christy said.

Klaus and Christy exchange worried looks at each other.

At 6:20 AM.

OUTSKIRTS OF NEW ORLEANS -- THE TEMPLE OF THE ELDER GODS AND GODDESS

The Elder Goddess, Nadia, had arrived with Klaus and Christy at the temple.

At the beachside shore, Nadia and Christy are looking at the sea.

"What's going on with me, Mom?" Christy asked. "Why am I tense?"

"You're tense because of what happened with the car incident." Nadia said to her daughter. "You need to calm your mind."

Nadia and Christy exchange looks at each other.

"Lend me your hand." Nadia said.

Christy hands her mother her slightly twitching hand.

Nadia gently holds her daughter's twitching right hand in her hand.

"Your tense. Your right hand is twitching and your body is trembling." Nadia said.

Nadia gently lets go of Christy's right hand and nods at a nearby rock.

"Sit atop the rock and meditate." Nadia said.

Christy sits atop of a rock, sitting in a cross-legged sitting position and closes her eyes, and mediates.

"Focus on the sea, the wind, the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks." Nadia said.

With her eyes closed and meditating, Christy feels the warm wind flows through her shoulder-length blonde hair.

She hears the waves crashing against the rocks in the sea and relaxes herself, releasing the tension from her body.

Nadia glances at her son-in-law, Klaus, and slowly walks over to him.

Klaus and Nadia gently leans backwards against his SUV car hood.

"She's gonna be alright, Klaus." Nadia reassured her son-in-law.

"I know." Klaus said.

"Are you alright?" Nadia asked.

'"I'm just glad that Christy is gonna be fine." Klaus replied. "With everything she's been through, what we've been through together, she doesn't let it keep her down."

"Yeah, that's Christiana." Nadia said.

Shortly after . . .

After her medication and releasing the pent-up tension, Christy resumes her manriki workout, still on the beachside.

With the warm wind flows through her hair and she hears the waves gently crashing against the rocks in the sea, Christy's mind has cleared and she trains with her magical weaponry, The Manriki, gently spinning it an inch from her.

From his SUV, Klaus and Nadia observes Christy as she does her manriki workout.

"What is the chain thing that Christy has?" Klaus asked.

"It's a magical weaponry called The Manriki." Nadia tells her son-in-law. "Just like Christy's warrior bead bracelet, it can extend."

"That sounds interesting." Klaus said.

Klaus and Nadia exchange small smiles at each other and looks at Christy again.

"And to let you know, Lou and his henchmen gang are no longer in New Orleans." Nadia said.

"Good." Klaus said. "I would've done damage to them."

"Well, you can put your behavior at ease, Klaus, so, maybe, now, you can spend some time with your wife before she leaves for Mount Orasani." Nadia said.

"I will." Klaus said.

And Nadia teleports away in golden dust.

Klaus gently walks down the stairs and into the courtyard where Elijah, Rebekah, Kol and Freya are.

"How is Christy?" Elijah asked.

"After waking up at earlier 6:00 today, she's finally asleep after getting her usual workout." Klaus said.

"Well, Kol and I are leaving New Orleans. We just wanted to say goodbye and see you guys again." Rebekah said.

"What about Marcel? You can't just leave your husband?" Klaus asked.

"I'm not. Marcel's coming along with me." Rebekah said. "And he also said that Josh and Gia can handle things here in the French Quarter."

"Davina is waiting for me back at home. I'll send Christy her regards." Kol said.

"Alright, then. We'll miss you." Freya said.

"We'll miss you guys as well." Rebekah said.

And Kol and Rebekah walks away.

Christy slowly walks up to Trinity's room door. Luna and Trinity are sitting on the bed, playing a board game.

"Hey, sweethearts." Christy greeted her daughters.

Luna and Trinity looks at their mother with small smiles.

"Hi, Mom." Luna greeted her Mom back with a small smile.

Christy walks further inside Trinity's room and sits down on the ottoman and looks at her daughters.

"I wanted to thank you both for saving my life from Lou. He is a tough ShangQui warrior, but you two handled him by remembering what I taught you and you girls did good, so, thank you both." Christy thanked both her daughters.

"You're welcome, Mom." Trinity said.

Christy, Luna and Trinity exchange small smiles at each other.

"Can I play?" Christy asked.

"Sure, Mom." Luna said and gently hands her a green game piece. "Okay, Mom. You go first so, you can catch up."

"Okay." Christy said.

Christy gently shuffles two dices in her hand and gently drops them on the board game.

"Okay, Mom. You have five moves, Luna and I just started." Trinity said.

"Okay." Christy said.

Christy, Luna and Trinity plays their board game.

Klaus is at the doorway, looking at his wife and daughters playing a board game together with a small smile.

And he slowly walks away.
