Hello! I am writing a story based off of MDZS, basically just using the basis of each sect and some of the characters.
In this story, the top three major sects are all kingdoms, and the story focuses on Lan Zhan (who is a prince), meeting Wei Ying (who lives on the streets).
You do NOT need to have read the book or seen Untamed (the tv show) to understand this story.

I thought I would add a little character intro so you guys can have people pictured in your head when you read this. If you are unfamiliar with the characters I would recommend glancing at this.

Characters:

1. Birth name: Lan Zhan, courtesy name: Lan Wangji, title: Hanguang-Jun
Second prince of the Lan kingdom. Very intelligent, handsome, and strong, but does not show any emotion or enjoy the company of other people besides his brother.
Age at the beginning of the story: 16

2. Birth name: Lan Huan, courtesy name: Lan Xichen, title: Zewu-Jun
First Prince and heir to the throne of the Lan kingdom. Older brother of Lan Zhan. Also very handsome and intelligent, but not quite as powerful of a cultivator. He is far more friendly though and better at talking to people.
Lan Huan and Lan Zhan are known as the twin jades of Gusu because they look so similar.
Age at the beginning of the story: 19

3. Wei Ying, courtesy name: Wei Wuxian
Lives on the streets with two others that act as his family. Very talkative, amicable, and friendly. Always smiling. Surprisingly intelligent.
Age at the beginning of the story: 15

4. Birth name: Jiang Cheng, courtesy name: Jiang Wanyin
Was once very rich but after his parents death, his family's money was taken and he now lives on the streets with Wei Ying and his older sister Jiang Yanli.
Gets angry easily and is very prideful, but truly cares and wants to protect those he loves.
Age at the beginning of the story: 18

5. Birth name: Jiang Yanli
An elder sister and mother figure for both Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying. Very sweet, soft, and ladylike, although can and will do anything for her brothers.
Age at the beginning of the story: 21
