Welp it's been a while since I've posted whoops

So to restate the obvious, Brines are hybrids with vampire and demon genes. The first Brine was a vampire who unknowingly accepted a deal from Lucifer and became a Brine.

But how does a vampire become a Brine? Did Lucifer inject Hasira with some type of formula?

No.

Lucifer gave Hasira a demon to take control of Hasira's body. Hasira fought against the demon but ultimately lost the battle. The demon forced Hasira into a deep sleep and tossed the young vampire into the depths of his mind.

The first Brines were all created in this way. The seven original vampires were possessed by demons and lost everything. The more a vampire fought, the more aggressive the demon would be to force the vampire to submit and fall to the control of the demon.

However, Brines that come into the world through birth rather than have a demon possess a vampire already have a demon side. Therefore, no demon is needed to control the vampire.

This creation method led to the development of 'aggressive' and 'submissive' Brines. 'Aggressive' Brines are Brines who have a stronger vampire side, meaning they are more likely to pass on the vampire genes rather than the demon genes. The demon side fights hard to keep the vampire side under control. 'Submissive' Brines have a stronger demon side and will be more likely to pass on the demon genes. The demon does not have to fight as hard and is usually more passive than the demons of aggressive Brines.

The struggle between the vampire and demon sides occurs below the conscious, meaning that a Brine does not hear two 'voices' telling him what to do that day.

The demon side 'controls' the actions of born Brines but fully controls created Brines. It is not known if there are truly both a vampire and a demon fighting for control in the subconscious of a born Brine therefore it is unknown if a born Brine's 'demon' can be removed to make a vampire. However, since created Brines are given a demon to possess the body of a vampire, it is theorized that the demon can be removed, thereby reverting the Brine to its original vampire state.

Brines were almost considered to be a Vimelea and its host (a 'parasite' given to select Creators by Atropos that has the ability to take control of its host's body) but ultimately not considered to be Vimeleas. This is due to the fact that the only way to separate a Vimelea and its host is to kill the host's body, resulting in the death of both the host and the Vimelea. However, Brines theoretically can be reverted back to a vampire state by searching for the demon in the Brines subconscious and killing it within the mindscape of the vampire.

Btw, Herobrine is considered to be an aggressive Brine while Ash is technically a submissive but considered a learned aggressive (due to the necessity for an Alpha to be an aggressive to protect his pack, whether it be through birth or training)

Herobrine is also neither a born or created Brine. He is and always will be the exception to the rule. As revealed in an earlier chapter, he 'is' Hasira. Hasira is the vampire while the demon made Hasira a Brine. Herobrine is a Vimelea given to Hasira to keep Hasira's body safe until the demon can reawaken and take control to return to Lucifer after killing... someone.

But he doesn't know that yet so let's keep it secret from him :) just until after his 100k birthday
