Aswangs (Argentum Enim Luscus) are powerful shapeshifters. These creatures are often immortal Creators, though are occasionally be created by a god or Creator through either a blessing or curse. Immortal Aswangs are rare, yet are often shunned amongst the gods as it is commonly believed that these creatures bring bad luck and misfortune. Aswangs are not identifiable under the age of seventeen as their abilities have not yet been developed, nor have they gained their silver hair streaks. Aswangs are not a specific type of species, but are more likely to be considered a trait with special abilities available to few individuals.

Description
Aswangs are well known for their characteristic silver eyes, no matter the age. They can be of any species; human, vampire, demon, Shadow, fairy, etc. At the age of seventeen, streaks of pure silver begin to appear in their hair, giving their hair a shiny and silvery look. An abused or mistreated Aswang will have clumps of silver shavings in their hair due to the lack of grooming, similar to how dandruff forms. To this date, no other notable physical characteristic has been found.

Characteristics
Silver Tongue: Aswangs have the ability to persuade others to do what they want with their clever way with words.

Shapeshifting: All Aswangs have the ability to shift into different forms, though no known Aswang has been found to transform to an animal form. Though the silver eyes remain, Aswangs can change their hair and skin color, hair length, and even their facial structure. Aswangs often leave behind silver shavings when shifting forms. An Aswang often shifts when feelings of being nervous or threatened occur.

Mind Reading: Aswangs have a limited ability to read minds. This ability is limited to see who one misses the most, typically a lost relative or friend.

Mind reading and shapeshifting are often used simultaneously when attacked by another individual. The aggressor's most missed individual is quickly discovered by an Aswang. The frightened Aswang then shifts to the form of the missed individual, causing the aggressor to hesitate and giving the Aswang a chance to escape. This tactic can be used consciously as well, causing many to believe that these creatures are cruel and inconsiderate to others.

Behavior
Though the personal characteristics depend on the species, it is confirmed that Aswangs are typically mischievous, tricky creatures. It is difficult to capture Aswangs due to their intelligent nature. Don't forget to keep shiny objects out of reach, an Aswang loves to play with anything that glitters. Aswangs are neat freaks and despise disorganization. The best way to gain an Aswang's trust is to keep a clean space. Simply brushing their hair can help to form a strong bond as it helps to eliminate stubborn silver shavings the Aswang was unable to remove.

Names
The scientific name for Aswang is Argentum Enim Luscus, Latin for 'silver eyed one'. This can be shortened to Argentum Luscus, though it is improper to use this term.

Reproduction
Aswangs reproduce like any other member of their species, though the gift of this creature will not be passed down to their young. Ex: Human Aswang with a human (Aswang or not) will create a normal human.
