EURIKA - S740 Update

GUYS

FINALLY

After ALL my attempts to find something semi-adequate on the East African campaign of WWII, all of which were pretty unsuccessful because this is America and the East African campaign was British, I FINALLY found an encyclopedia in my university library, completely by accident, that has an entire section dedicated solely to the East African Campaign of 1940!

That's just the first page of the account; it goes on for at least two more. I don't doubt that I'll find an extensive section on the Battle of Britain as well, and I believe there's a section at the beginning that details some of the units of different militaries involved. I could easily get more information on where Richard might be, what his unit's mission objectives would have been, other units that would have been nearby, weapons and aircraft involved, Italian units involved, as well as information on the Blitz and the Luftwaffe before it, Dunkirk (which should come up briefly), women's involvement in the struggle at home, etc. Not to mention I could assign Richard to an actual historical unit with an actual historical ranking officer, if I so pleased. I might be being a little too optimistic about the contents of this guide, but if the section on East Africa is any indication, I'm sure I'll be able to get more than plenty of information for the next several chapters of September 7, 1940.

tl;dr, expect an S740 update within, say, three weeks. After I finish all the assigned writing for my various classes... sighs in 3000 word archaeology paper and Ovid essay re-write

Anyway, don't mind the happy little bouncing smol child as she paces the upstairs section of the university library while squealing under her CovidProof™ mask at all the information on Sergeant John Doe of the 375th infantry.

Bye!
