Each year the gods bestow a gift on the mortals below to be won in the Tournament of Fools. This year the prize is the Scarf of Vita, an artefact capable of bringing back one human soul from the dead.

As a cruel twist this was announced two months after the end of one of the longest bloodiest wars to date.
