In this fantasy world there are four goddesses who over see it, personifications of the seasons. Every few hundred years they are reborn and take on a new name. As part of the cycle there is a fifth entity, 'The Phoenix' who spends a quarter of her life with each of the goddesses in their corner of the world, learning and growing alongside them until the cycle is over and she leaves to be reborn then returns again, starting on a different season each time. 

This story follows Helia, the latest reincarnation of The Pheonix and the time she fell in love with one of the seasons, and how that went so horribly wrong the cycle was broken forever.
