For the last couple of years, Roe has been completely happy being on her own. She liked the freedom of being single. She also didn't mind the absence of lies and manipulation in her life either. Her friends didn't see it the same way. They had become worried that she was lonely and not finding joy in her life, so out of misguided feelings, they signed her up for a dating app.
When the notifications for the app started rolling in one day, Roe was extremely cross with her friends, how could they break her trust like that? She had started to take down the information they had put up when a mostly blank profile like hers had matched with her. Out of sheer curiosity, she also matched with the blank profile. Within moments, he sent her a message. It was different from every other message she had received. He was polite and sweet. She decided not to get off the app, but quickly shot down every other man that would try to message her. Within a day, she had given him her phone number. She shut off the app notifications. She didn't want to be on it to begin with and with her new friendship blossoming, she didn't need it.
They finally decide to meet in person, she learns that he wasn't 100% truthful with her. She is obviously very upset with him and leaves their date. He spends a whole week trying to get ahold of her in various ways with no success. One day he catches up to her and after a short discussion, she decides to give him a second chance. Will he remain truthful, or will it all fall apart under the weight of expectation?
