Hi 😅 I don't really know what to say except read, enjoy, and comment. I need feedback. Hope you like this little crossover story, I will do my best to make enjoyable chapters and a good story. This is Watchtower 1, btw.

It was a normal day at the Watchtower, the key word being "was". It WAS a normal day at the Watchtower until Dr. Fate came in looking tense. Even though Fate was a prominent member of the League, it wasn't like him to come in so abruptly. Usually, he would be at The Tower of Fate in Salem or dealing with a magic mishap.

"Superman." Dr. Fate called out. "There's an urgent matter I need to discuss with you and the others."

"What's the matter, Fate?" asked Superman.

"There's trouble in the magic world. A being known as Pitch Black threatens the fate of our world as we know it." Dr. Fate replied. He kept a serious look on his face, showing the matter needed to be discussed immediately.

"Maybe It'd be best if we discussed this in a more private place." Superman said, "I'll gather the others, and we can discuss this in the conference room."

A few moments later...

Within a few moments, Superman was able to gather up the rest of the JL Founders, along with Dr. Fate, and head to the conference room where they would discuss the issue and the best course of action.

"Okay, now that everyone is present, we can review the matter at hand." said Superman. "Fate, mind telling the others what you told me."

"Of course, the "person" that we are dealing with is known as Pitch Black, the King of Nightmares. He is very powerful and currently poses a threat to some friends of mine, who usually keep him in check." explained Fate.

"How big of a threat?" Batman asked.

"Universal." replied Fate.

The team's eyes widened with a mixture of shock and worry upon hearing how serious the situation had become.

"Wait, what do you mean, "friends of mine?" asked Flash.

"The Guardians." Fate said. "Chosen by the Man in the Moon to protect the dreams of children and bring joy to the world. You may know them as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, and Jack Frost."

"You're joking, right?" Flash said. "Aren't they just stories people tell kids?"

"No, they are, in fact, real." said Fate. "Nicholas St. North, the Santa Claus, Guardian of Wonder. E. Aster Bunnymund, the Easter bunny, Guardian of Hope. Toothiana, the Tooth Fairy, Guardian of Memories. Sanderson Mansnoozie, the Sandman, Guardian of Dreams. and Jack Frost, the Spirit of Winter, Guardian of Fun. They're all real, not just stories."

"So, how do we help them?" asked Wonder Woman.

"And what is Pitch hoping to gain or achieve?" asked Hawkgirl.

"Pitch is after a powerful and rare type of magic called Puppet magic, and there is only one known holder of it." Fate explained. "If he gets his hands on it and combines it with his Nightmare powers, he will be strong enough to gain the other rare types of magic and achieve enough power to take over the universe."

"So it's simple. We just gotta get to the holder before Pitch." said Flash.

"It's not as simple as you think. Like I said before, there is only one known holder." said Fate. "His whereabouts are already known, so finding him won't be an issue. It's protecting him that will be an issue."

"What are his whereabouts?" asked Martian Manhunter.

"The North Pole..." replied Fate.

Everyone had a confused look on their face at this reply, but Batman seemed to have a look of understanding, as if he was putting the pieces together in this puzzle.

"So he's an elf." Batman said. (Bats has met elves before in my world. There will be a short story and a couple of mentions of it.)

"Yes." Fate replied, looking a bit shocked at how fast Batman figured it out. "He is a Christmas Elf at the North Pole named Felix, and he is the only known holder of the Puppet magic."

Realization dawned on everyone's face as they, too, were putting together the pieces. They now fully understand that this mission might be one of their toughest yet.

"What's our mission?" asked Green Lantern. (This is John Stewart GL, btw. )

"Our job is to go to the North Pole and make sure Pitch doesn't get his hands on the Puppet magic. We must protect the holder at all costs while the Guardians try to stop or at least prevent Pitch from gaining Puppet magic." Fate said.

"I suggest we take a vote, just to make sure we're all in agreement." said Superman. "Raise your hand if you think we should go."

At that, everyone raised their hand, showing they were on board.

"Good." Superman said. "Since we're all in agreement, I suggest we start planning and gather up a team to head over as soon as possible."

"I think you should bring the younger heroes." Fate said. "It might be easier for them to connect with Felix, making it a lot easier for us to protect him. Plus it would be a good experience for them."

"I'm not so sure..." Superman frowned. "They could get hurt given the severity of the mission."

"They're well trained and can handle themselves." said Batman. "Like Fate said, it would make the mission easier and would be a good experience for them, not just as heroes, but as children too."

"I agree." Wonder Woman said.

"Okay." Superman said. "Let's meet with them, explain the mission, and head out as soon as possible. Anything else we should know?."

"Pitch is not a being to be taken lightly. Do whatever you must to prevent him from getting to Felix. Also, be careful, Felix isn't the only powerful elf you will meet. All elves have some sort of power, whether they be young or old."

"Do they know we're coming?" asked Flash.

"Some will, some won't." replied Fate. "But when you get there, you will be greeted by one of Santa's right hand elves. He will take you to meet Felix and show you around. He'll also be there to help you if you need it."

"Will you be coming?" asked Superman.

"Unfortunately, I can not come. I will be seeing if the Guardians need any help dealing with Pitch." Fate said. "I must be going now."

"Okay, we'll see if we can head out soon after we get the younger heroes." said Superman. "Good luck, I have a feeling you'll need it."

"I wish you good luck as well." said Fate. "Oh, a little advice before I go. You should remember that magic is a fickle thing. Be careful when dealing with it.

"Will do." replied Superman. "I call this meeting of the Justice League to an end."

And with that, Dr. Fate conjoured up a portal and left, and the heroes got to work, making a plan to protect Felix and help stop Pitch.
