Ballad of Achilles
Remember when Thetis brought Achilles to the Styx
For thy mother wished for her son immortality
But as she cradled the babe, so close and so tight
The nymph didn't notice the heel remained untouched
Of that of the holy water from the river of the gods
So it came to be, that the greatest warrior ever told
Had only one weakness, had only one flaw
He who wields the sword and spear so great
That even Ares, the god of war, trembled seeing his face
But what Homer refuse to say was this
Achilles' weakness is not his heel
It was that little girl from Troy
That virgin princess draped in the priestess' robes
Songs of glory had told
That Achilles, mighty and bold
Was struck by an arrow while in the arms of his love
He bid his goodbye to Briseis, his captive, his bride
And yes it is true, that the ankle was never blessed in Styx
But it was really Briseis who is Achilles' heel
