Abeer's POV

Rajeev Kapoor pressed the trigger and the bullet was fired.

May be my last day!!

But all of a sudden Meera came forward!!
"Ahhhhh" She groaned

The bullet hit Meera in her back!!

"Meerrrraaaaaa" I shrieked.
There was another sound of bullet. Police killed Rajeev Kapoor!!

"Ab.. Abeer.. " she whispered as I sat down with her in my arms.
"Meeeraaa!! Meeeraaa. What you did...Why!! Why you need to be a Mother Teresa" I cried while she smiled.
"I..I lo.. love..y.. you..mo.. more.. th.. then..I.. lo..love.. m.. myself" She tried speaking
"No!! No you don't!! You don't love me!! You don't!! Who the hell told you to come in between!! Why always you do so!!  You promised that you won't let anything happen to yourself!! You again broke your promise!! You're a cheater. You are a lier " I sobbed as a tear left her right eye and her eyes were becoming red.
"I..a.. am baa..Bad.. I.. I kn.. know! Bu.. But.. I.. I lo.. love..y.. you.. a.. all.." she stammered trying to take breath and I cried
"Abeer!! Hospital.. come fast" Advik tapped and I nodded.
"Nothing will happen to you. You break your promises I don't!! I'll fight with that one sitting up to get you back Understand that" I sobbed and all what she did was to smile!!

I picked her up and was about to go when I saw Rishi!
"I swear I'll make you regret coming to this earth and touching her" I raged
"If he comes out of the jail I hope you know what the consequences may be" Advik said in his most professional tone and DGP nodded.

We ran towards the car and Advik drove directly to towards the hospital.

"Meera!! Just keep your eyes open love! Nothing will happen!!" I kept repeating
"I..A.. alw.. always.. wa.. want..wanted t.. to s..see..y.. you..m.. me.. a.. and a....li..little..hi...hit..Hitler w...with..you" She whispered and I cried
"Keep your eyes open Meera. We're reaching hospital!! Advik drive fast" I yelled
"A..Abee..Abeer..Say..Di..Divya tha..that I.  Lo..loved h..her s..so much!! I..wou..would mi..mi.miss c..calling..her..si..sister in la..law" She cried
"Shutup Meera!! I told you nothing will happen to you. I'm not going to leave you so easily!!!You're bound to me for next seven births. Keep that in your short head. And once you wake up I'll tell you who I am!! Mother Terassa" I sobbed as tears were flowing through my eyes constantly.
"Pu..pushpa....I..ha..hate T..Tears." she smiled while crying and I sobbed more while she was slowly closing his eyes.

"No...no Meeraaaa!! Just look at me!! Look at me. Advikkk pleaseeeee faaassttt" I cried
"Just reached Abeer. Don't worry!! " he said and Stopped the car.
I came out and I took Meera in my arms.
"I'll bring stretcher" Advik told
"Not wanted" I said and ran inside the hospital
"Doctor...doctor" I yelled and a team of doctor came there.
"She..she is hit by a bullet at the back." Advik described and I looked at Meera.
"I...lo..love y..you" She whispered
"Nurse..OT fast" Doctor dictated
"Sir..lay her down" nurse told and I was like a dummy doing whatever they were telling
"I love you too Honeybun. Nothing will happen to you" I whispered and she smiled.

Suddenly the clock of the hospital wall struck twelve and the pendulum oscillated making sound.
"Ab..Abeer.." She whispered and I bent down towards her.

"Ha..Hap...ppy..Happy Fi..first Ma...marriage... An..ani..aniver.. anniversary Lo...Love" she whispered pecking my lips and I looked at her.

It's.. July..Tenth July !! The day of....our marriage!!

I looked at Meera who smiled and closed her eyes!!
"No..No ..Meera.... Doctor...What the hell are you looking at!!!! She fainted!!! Do something" I shouted on the nurse and she nodded taking the stretcher inside OT.

I was going inside when doctor stopped me.
"You can't come inside Mr.Malhotra" doctor told
"What!! She's inside. She has fainted and you're stopping me to go inside" I shouted
"Sir please understand!! You can't!!" he said
"Abeer!! Come here " Advik told and pulled me aside
"She has to go in alone. Doctors are there to see her. Let her go so that she can come soon out" he explained and I nodded crying.

She was taken inside! And the bulb of OT lit !!!

"Sir..please sign the consent papers" said a nurse and I nodded signing them.

If anything happens to the patient while performing any type of surgery. The hospital and the staff will not be responsible.

These words made my hands tremble in fear.

I signed the papers and looked at the OT bulb when suddenly a soft hand touched me.
"Mom.." I whispered and hugged her tightly.
"No my baby!! Everything will be fine. She is a fighter."mom told and I sobbed hugging her.
"Mom..I..I..can't live without her" I wept and she wiped my tears while she herself was crying.
"Nothing will happen to her. She's the strongest girl I've ever seen. She can fight with God too" mom consoled and I nodded looking at her mom and dad.
I went near them and hugged mom tightly.
"I'm sorry!! Due to me your daughter is in this state today!!" I said joining my hands and she  hugged me.
"My daughter proved that nothing in this world is more important then love" she smiled proudly
"But what was the need to do so. I..ca..can't loose her mom" I sobbed and she smiled hugging me again.
"You will not ! We will not " she replied
"Abeer son!! My princess is not that weak!!" Dad stated firmly even when his eyes were red and I nodded.
Divya and Jay too were there and Divya was crying badly.

I know I will not loose you Meera!!
I don't break my promises. I told you that I'll not let you leave me that means I'll not let you leave me!!!

Suddenly doctor came out and called me.
"Mr.Malhotra the bullet has stuck just near the heart! It's very risky and important to do surgery. She has already lost lot of blood ! We can't wait " he told and I nodded
"Do anything doctor. Just save my honeybun please" I begged joining my hands and he looked at me.
"We'll try our best Mr.Malhotra. Rest pray to God" he said and went inside.

God!! She believes in you. I believe in her!! Don't let our belief shatter a little on you.

I quietly went out of the hospital.
"Joseph!! Car keys" I asked
"Where sir" he asked when I saw his face.

Ever saw a bodyguard crying!!
When sister is like Meera..then anyone can melt!!!

"Now no one is going to hurt me Joseph!! She already took all pain on her" I whispered and he looked down giving me car keys.

I drove to the same temple where we went on her birthday!!

Removing my shoes I went inside and stood in front of the God.

"Save her please! She's selfless, but I'm selfish ! I can't live without her. Please!! She use to say when God's magic work no logic work ! I don't know about any science. I'm believing in you today!! Let your magic work. Today is our first marriage anniversary. July 10th !! I want to spend my old age with her. Please save her!! For me!! " I sobbed and sat on the floor crying.
I was sitting there for sometime and opened my purse when a voice again rang in my ears.

Help those who can't help themselves Abeer. People don't want just your money!! They want your time!! And remember the blessings have much more power then your bank balance!!

She is always so right!! Today my bank balance don't have power!!

I stood up and went to the old age home near the temple.
It was offcourse 1 Am. Everyone was sleeping just a couple was sitting in the garden.
I went there and sat near them.
"Didn't sleep till now" I asked
"Pain don't let sleep her " uncle said

That's the thing about pain! It demands to be felt!!
In my case too!!

"And you"I asked
" can't sleep seeing her in pain" he replied and I smiled

I want these days with you Meera!! Get up soon love!!!

"Why are you here !! Never saw you here before and that too at this time and son why are you crying" aunty asked
"I never came here before. And here because...wanted to help you. You aren't able to sleep due to your leg pain right!! I can help" I told
"How" she asked and I took her leg in my lap and massaged it for some time.
"Feeling good" I asked after some time and she smiled nodding.
"Hey!! Your leg was paining. Did you eat anything" I asked
"She ate just a spoonful rice. And then she says me that She's full.  Now tell me is that enough " uncle asked
"I'll be back" I said and went to the outside kitchen of the old age home.
I found cooked rice there. I  chopped veggies and made vegetable rice and serving it in a bowl I gave her that.
"Eat togather. Take care. Bye" I said and turned to go when she stopped me.
"Since you came, You didn't smile a bit my child. And your face is tear striken. Can I help you in any way. I'll be very happy" She asked and I kneeled down.
"Your blessings are enough" I replied and they both put their hands on my head.
"God bless you child. May you get everything you wish for" They blessed

I bless for just one thing right now.. every second!!

  It's been three hours since I'm out ! I don't know why but my legs are not ready to move towards hospital ! For the first time in my life I've come across a fear of loosing someone to death !

No!! No!! I will not ! She has to come! She has to be alive !! For me!! 

I drove towards hospital when dad looked at me!!

"Where were you Abeer!!We all were so tensed!!" Dad asked and I looked at OT.

The bulb was still glowing that means operation is going on ! I went near the OT and stood up ! 

Your Hitler is waiting for you Love ! Please be selfless one more time in life ! You were born fighter na ! Then fight with this shit!   

Soon the bulb of the OT was off and doctor came out !

"Doctor! How's she!! She's good na!! She has fought it right" I asked and he looked at me for a second !!

"Mr.Malhotra, She's all good ! Out of danger ! No need to worry !! " He announced smiling and I felt as if heart has become hundred times lighter !!

And there all the tears I was holding till now came out!! I broke down sitting on the floor when her mom came and hugged me!!!
"Abeer!! Son!! She's fine!!" She said and I nodded

"You've saved two lives today. Thankyou so much "  I cried and he patted my shoulder.
"She's a fighter Mr.Malhotra! When we took her in OT she for once regained consciousness before giving her anesthesia and looking at me you know what she told me" He asked and I looked at him.
"Someone is waiting for me outside ! Save me for him ! After all it's my wedding anniversary today." he completed and I nodded wiping my tears.
  "A very happy wedding aniversary Mr.Malhotra" He wished and I smiled
"Thankyou ! Can I go to her" I asked
"Let us shift her to normal ward ! Then she's all yours Mr.Malhotra " He said tapping my shoulders and went away.

  I looked back and every one was smiling looking at me!! I looked at Jay and Divya and went towards them ! I opened my arms and both of them hugged me tightly and we all three smiled and cried togather !!

"Happiest marriage anniversary" They wished and I smiled .

She was shifted to the normal ward and doctor called me to his cabin.
"Mr.Malhotra ! Everything is good but some things have to be taken care of ! She'll be in hospital for this one week and after she gets discharge she has to take rest for fifteen days ! No bathing till I say and if she's too adamant then a sponge bath can be taken but stitches should be taken care of ! Do the dressing very gently and since it was a gunshot, it may be traumatic ! So, take care of that" He told and I smiled
"She's such an idiot that she'll be happy that bullet didn't hit me ! Trauma this time is far away thing doctor" I told and he smiled nodding.
"Doctor when she'll regain conciousness. I've some work" I asked
"Probably three hours. It's half past three so I guess till around 6-6:30 am " He told and I nodded.  
"Thankyou doctor! You've given me my life back" I thanked and he smiled
"It was my duty Mr.Malhotra " He said and I nodded going out of the cabin !

I went to the ward and she was there unconscious still a smile on the face! I went there and took her hand in mine ! 
"You love to tease me right ! But this was very bad joke!! I'll be back till you open your eyes. I love you honeybun! " I whispered in her ear and kissed her eyes.
  "Dad! Mom!! I'll be back! If she gains consciousness before I come do inform me" I told and they nodded.

I looked and Divya. She was so pale !! Her mom and dad were also there !
  "Aunty ,uncle go home ! You all need rest ! Divya you too go home!! You haven't eaten anything since last day!! Go home" I told but she denied.
"I'll see that bitch open her eyes and I will slap her and then I'll go !!" she sniffed and I hugged her and she cried!!  
"I didn't talk properly with her since she went away Banaras! If some.. something would've happened to her I..I would live in guilt for whole my life" she sobbed and I patted her back !!  
"Everything is fine!! Okay do one thing. Come with me to mansion!! We'll bake for her" I told and she nodded smiling.
"Mom!! Will you prepare macarons for her" I asked  her mom and she nodded wiping her tears!
We were going when I looked at Jay!
"Won't come?" I asked and he smiled looking down !!

After so many hours I'm seeing him smile! Infact everyone! Let's better say God couldn't snatch happiness of so many people at same time ! Thankyou God!! 

"How's madam sir" The first question Joseph and George asked
"Out of danger" I told and they looked at each other and smiled !
"Where sir" Joseph asked     
"Mansion" I told and he nodded.

We came home and cook uncle had already prepared breakfast ! When I entered mansion the whole home staff was sitting near the temple !!

Dawa se jyada dua kaam karti hai aj ye jaan liya  (Prayers work more then medicines, that I had come to know today !! ).

We all freshened up and after making them eat breakfast and mom making me eat mine we all went inside the kitchen ! Mom started preparing macarons and I baked a Red velvet cake while Divya prepared frosting and..Jay was also doing something.....
staring Divya!!

"Ehmm!!" I coughed and he looked at me !
"Proposed" I asked he sighed
"Not till now!! But whatever has happened !! I know it's equal from both sides" He told and I gave him a lopsided grin!! 
"That's very visible idiot" I told and he blushed!!

We preapred everything and we went to hospital!! It was seven when nurse told us that she regained conciousness !!

Everyone went inside but I don't know what happened to me!! I was looking at the cake in my hands intently when someone tapped on my shoulder!! 

"Thinking what happened one year back on this day!"Advik asked and I nodded as a tear rolled down my cheek!!

"I used to think it as the worst day of my life but I never knew that  one day I myself will change these words" I replied and he smiled
"A very happy wedding anniversary bro" Advik and Naina said taking me into a hug and I smiled!  
"So forget everything Abeer and just go there!! As much you're waiting to see her,she's also waiting to see this pair of eyes" Naina said and I nodded and went inside !!

Everyone was there!! She was resting on the bed and was giving everyone a small smile but her eye balls were moving here and there !!

Searching for me!

The next instant our eyes met and she looked at me! I went towards her as tears rolled down my cheek !

Ain't I being a crybaby today!!
Yes I'm!

"Happy First Marriage Anniversary Honeybun" I whispered putting the cake on the table near her and she smiled !
"I kept my promise"She breathed and I hugged her and cried !

I don't care who's seeing me! I don't care a bit about anything other then her  !!

" Let's cut the cake" Advik chirped and she tried to wake up and I helped her a bit !!
Everyone was here! Divya's family, our families. Scarlett aunty ! Her three brothers !! Jay,Joseph and George. Naina ,Advik and  doctor !
We cut the cake and fed cake to each other!!   
"Baby!! Macarons" Mom asked and she nodded as her eyes became teary and I wiped that away !!

She ate a bit of macaron and looked at me !!
"I love you"She stated 
"Love you till eternity" I said and slammed my lips on her !!

She responded with all the love and I broke the kiss seeing her situation and kissed her forehead .  
"Guys!! We all were here only" Dad smirked and she hid her face in my chest and I chuckled!  

I can't ask for anything to God!! He has given me the one I can't loose at any cost! My honeybun!
My lifeline!!
My Meera!! 

It's not that only she has got a new life today !! With her I too have got a new life today!! 
God, Belief in you and belief in your kindness have increased many folds today. As my love say,we were meant to be togather!! It was something that was written in our stars and drawn in your destiny !!
