Meera's POV

Damn!! Last night I was not able to sleep. The main reason was that man who slept beside me. I'm addicted to him so much. And then he left a book near me.

So I thought to read it. And I wasn't able to keep it away. It was so so much interesting. When I was reading this I got a note too.

It was his handwriting. I knew that.

You are reading the chapter which is my favorite and there are my favorite lines.

And when I read this note I was more eager to read that and when I read it I was so so much happy to read it. Those lines touched heart.

I also talked to him and he said me to go back to sleep. I was not able to sleep much but I slept.

In morning I got call from him and I happiness had no bounds.

After keeping the call I went to bath and walked in the closet.

I changed into my denim shorts and a T-shirt and went downstairs.

"Morning people" I wished and they looked at me

"Morning Meera" dad wished

"Morning sweety" mom and Scarlett aunty wished at the same time and I chuckled

"Come Meera. Have your breakfast " mom said

I'm not hungry. I miss him. I miss his smirks and his smiles that he passed me when I used to eat my food.

"Mom..you all eat I'll eat later" I said and dad looked at me

"Meera..come and sit. Eat as much you want. But eat" dad told strictly and I nodded

After breakfast I went back to the room when I got a call from Divya.

"Hey Meera. I'm leaving today" she said

"Oh okay. Take care and click lots of pictures." I replied

"Yeah..and I'm sure this time you won't miss me right " she told and I sighed

"Firstly Divi,no one can ever take your place in my life. And secondly he's not in India" I said sadly

Why you had to go on my birthday only Abeer!!!!

Come on Meera. It was really important!!!

"What. Where is he" she asked

"He's in Cambridge due to some work" I said

"What. Why didn't you tell me Meera. I would've told dad to shift the holidays" she yelled 

"Divi. Are you crazy. Just for a birthday you'll leave your trip" I said

"But Meera.. You'll be alone" she whined

"Who said I'll be alone. Dad and mom are there and even Scarlett aunty is there." I Said

"But you wished him to be there...You were to confess.." she was saying when I cut her off

Yes I wanted to confess my feelings. I wanted to tell him that I love him.

"It's of no use right now.But I'll surely tell him once he comes back.I'll arrange a sweet setup for him and confess my love to him" I said smiling

"Love is in the air" she said and I chuckled

"Hope in his air too" I whispered

I know I'll be taking risk when I'll be proposing him.I know he don't have feelings called love for me but still I have to do this because now I can't hide my love from him for long time.

"Realx Meera.Everything will be great and yeah just don't loose faith in anything " she said

"Yeah..now go.You should be busy in packing at this time idiot" I told and she laughed

"Yeah..Bye take care" she mumbled

"You too.Happy journey " I wished and bidding her bye hanged up.

It was noon and I was still in my room reading the book.

I looked at the chocolates  that were kept and all what I could think was about him.

I miss you Abeer.Come back soon. There were times when I didn't even know you but now I love you and this love of mine is making me to stay near you every day.
I've to tell you so much Abeer.I've to tell you how much I love you Abeer.

And I want to be a bit angry on you to miss my birthday Abeer!!!

"Meera" came a voice and I blinked my eyes without turning.

Shit! I'm crying again!!
And he said me not to cry.

I wiped my tears and turned to see both mom and dad standing there.

"Mom, dad..come inside" I said and they nodded

"Are you okay Meera" mom asked

"Of course mom. What will happen to me" I said

"Because you're not the one who cries seeing chocolates" dad frowned

It means he saw me crying.

"Meera...you love him right" mom asked and I looked at her shocked

"I..I..no.." I wanted to say but couldn't say anything

"Meera come on. We're seeing you since last ten years. We know you very well and understand you Doll" Dad said and I smiled looking down

"See Dev!! I used to tell. Didn't I??  That they both are just made for each other" Mom exclaimed happily and I looked at her

"Mom..don't be so excited. I Love him, not he..still yeah I'm happy that I've found the love of my life" I told and they both looked at eachother.

"What happened" I asked

"No, nothing Meera..so when you're going to tell him this" dad asked and I sighed

"I thought to tell him on my birthday but..he'll not be there" I frowned and they again looked at each other

"Mom, dad..what happened Do you want to say anything" I asked

"No..Well, Meera..I think now when you know what you feel for him and moreover I think with telling him this you should also tell him everything " dad said and I looked at him

"Yes dad..It's time dad.I'll tell him everything about me. From start till end. And trust me dad even if I wouldn't have confessed my feelings still I would've told him everything now " I  whispered looking at them and tears pooled my eyes.

"He'll understand me right ? " I Asked and mom smiled

"He'll ." She said and I smiled

"And then what Meera.." dad asked and I nodded looking at him

"Right now what I know is I want Abeer to come as soon as possible. " I said frowning and they chuckled

"So what my doll wants this birthday " dad asked

"I've everything dad.You've already given me everything. I don't want anything else." I Said and he smiled

"Well, the new model of i- phone is launching today" Dad smirked and I sighed

He remembers that!!!

"Dad..no. Please." I whined while he denied

"You said okay in front of Abeer" he said smirking

"That's because he's a Hitler and if I wouldn't have agreed he would've made me agree by hook or crook" I told and they both laughed.

Well, that wasn't a joke!! That's reality!!!

"Doll, the things which are given from the core of the heart shouldn't be denied" mom said and I looked down playing with my fingers.

"Mom, dad.. I used to call you aunt and uncle . I craved to utter the words mom and dad whole day. I know for you I was always a daughter and trust me you were no less then parents to me..even more then parents to me..but destiny gave me a chance.A chance to enter the family with all the rights. I can now proudly tell anyone that I'm Meera Abeer Malhotra. You both tied me with the person I never even thought in my dreams. And I think that's the best gift you've given me. I know we suffered many differences and you know there was a time I thought my identity, Meera Malhotra will be snatched away from me, but God had different plans and see I'm cherishing the gift you've given me from the bottom of your heart. And I'm in love with the gift you've given me. Now say can you give something more precious then him? " I asked and they looked at me lovingly.

"Didn't I use to tell you Dev,  Meera is best for our Abeer. You yourself see the reasons" mom said and I smiled while dad wiped my tears.

Why I'm a crybaby!!!

"I too had no doubts in that" Dad replied to mom and she smiled

"Our whole family is very lucky to have you Meera" dad said and I smiled looking at him

"I'm very lucky to have a family like you all dad" I replied and he surrendered him.

"No one can win in front of you " Dad said and I laughed

"But that doesn't mean i- phone is cancelled otherwise I've better ways..you know Hitler right" dad said and I frowned

"I know. Fine" I frowned and they both chuckled

"How you're so simple and naive Meera" Mom asked caressing my cheek and I smiled

"My simplicity defines me mom and naive, I'm not" I stated and she smiled kissing my forehead

"Come down for lunch. We're waiting" she said and I nodded

After they went I looked at the clock.  It's 1 pm now.

Shall I call him?  Idiot. It must be 3 am there. He would be sleeping peacefully and you want to disturb his sleep. I even don't know for how many days he's there.

Don't worry. He'll call you Meera!! He called in the morning too.

I kept the book aside and went downstairs.
Everyone looked at me smiling much more then needed.

I know the reasons  but please don't tease me because it reminds me much more of him!!

"Meera..so what plans for tomorrow " dad asked as I sat on my chair

"As every birthday, waking up early, getting ready going to temple, feeding stray dogs and cows and giving my old clothes to needy people. Then coming home and taking your blessings and enjoying my all day with you all and in evening celebrating my birthday in the orphanage" I said and they smiled

"She's such a sweetheart Mrs.Malhotra" Scarlett aunty exclaimed and I passed her a smile.

"Divya will come at sharp twelve as always " mom said and my smile faded

"She'll not be here mom. She's flying to Maldives today." I sighed

"What,how can she miss your birthday" mom said and I smiled

"Mom, she didn't know Abeer is also going..she thought she'll be leaving me behind with Abeer" I said and they all laughed

"Awe my sweety. Don't worry. We all are here right" she told and I smiled

"Yes that's why I didn't let her cancel her bookings to Maldives otherwise when she came to know this she was going to tell uncle to cancel the trip " I said and dad smiled

"Your one and only bestfriend." Dad chirped and I smiled

"Okay. I'm full. I'm going to my room. Do anyone of you need anything " I asked

"No sweety. Go and take rest " mom said and I nodded

I came to my room and ate the chocolates from that lovely bunch remembering my love, I started reading Jane Eyre.

Don't know when it was evening. I was waiting for his call since so time but there wasn't even any message. I'll wait for some more time otherwise I'll call him.

It was nine in the night and still no call or a message.

"Meera come for dinner" came mom's voice

"Mom, you all carry on I'm not hungry" I said and she looked at me

"And why so" She asked eying me

"I.. I've actually eaten a lot of chocolates and you know ate something in evening so not hungry" I lied and she looked at me

"But Meera.." She was saying when I stopped her

"Please mom. I'll eat when I'll be hungry. You all carry on with your dinner" I said and she nodded sighing.

"Fine. As you wish" she replied going out of the room.

After mom went away I picked my phone and dialed Abeer's number

What the hell!!! He's unreachable!!!

Where are you Abeer!! You've not even called me. You could've at least messaged me.

I took the book in my one hand and phone in another. Don't know when sleep overpowered me in his thoughts.

Suddenly there was some sounds from downstairs.

God!!! What's this hustle and bustle !!
I walked downstairs when I saw everyone.

"Happiest birthday Meeeeraa" everyone shouted and I looked at them.

It's twelve. It's my birthday!!

Happy birthday Meera!!!

"Thankyou everyone" I replied

"Happy birthday my sweety" mom wished kissing my cheek and I smiled bending down to touch her feet and then touched Dad's feet.

"Happy birthday my doll. May god give you all the happiness of this world" dad wished and I smiled

"Thankyou dad" I replied

"Happy birthday sweetyyy" aunty  chirped hugging me and I chuckled

"Thanks aunty" I replied

I got a call from Divya too and they all wished me.

After cutting the call I sighed.

Wishes from everyone..except Abeer and my parents!!

"Meera..." dad came and I looked at him

"Finally you're 24" Dad said and I nodded hugging him tightly!!

"Finally " I repeated as tears fell down my eyes!! 

How much I wish him to be here.

Suddenly there was knock on the main door and I  looked at everyone and they smiled.

"Surprise waiting for you Meera" Dad said and I went to open the door looking at them confused.

I opened the door and I got the biggest surprise.

"Abeer.." I whispered and smiled widely but as soon as he looked at me I was shocked.

His eyes were blood shot and hairs were all messy.

His tux that always used to be crisp was all rugged and he looked directly into my eyes.

And that makes me really worried and frightened   !!
