Abeer's POV

Time flew like a bird with wings. Don't know how fast these two months passed.

In these two months my routine was fixed. Waking up at four forty five - Teaching Meera-Going to office- coming back home and teaching Meera-Sleep.

That's it!!

I didn't attend any meeting which would make me travel because I couldn't have given my two-three days on that. But that doesn't mean a businessman will make a loss to himself ! Never!!

I sent the head of the respective departments we would've dealt with and of course video conferences.

Meera has a very good grasping power. I mean she clicks everything so quickly and the best thing about her is she keeps bugging on your head till she's not able to understand any part.
She doesn't leave it for future and I think that's best. These two months have been very good. I got to spend more time with my love. The mornings starting with seeing her yawning on bed..or sometimes couch of the library and then listening to her melodic good morning. Just the best start of the day. I want this to be forever but I know it's just for two months.

I noticed one more thing. When she use to wake up in early morning she sits on the bed with crossed legs, joining her hands and murmuring something.
I even asked her the reason when she replied

I remember god and say him thankyou for everything he has given and pray him to make my day good.

That touched somewhere deeply. Her belief power is amazing...even when she suffered this much due to me in the starting days of marriage.. still her belief in God has not lessened a bit.

This girl sometimes would become really naughty. When she would stop studying and used to banter on films and novels. I know she would do that to irritate me and I used to get irritated. She also would loose up all of a sudden and demanded me for chocolates if I wanted her to solve questions...

I really used to think whether I'm her teacher or she's mine !!

But whatever it was I loved it because I love her childishness. I love that girl so much. She's really innocent and not to forget very cute. She looks so damn cute while sleeping that I would want to kiss her..

Many a times she used to sleep in between the classes. First thought that would come in my mind was to play a rocking song to wake her up but then seeing her face I would drop that idea and instead used to pick her up and went to room making her sleep comfortably... and sometimes I myself used to be so tired that I would cover her with a duvet on the couch and would go and sleep on the couch next to her!!

I, dad or Joseph would always drop her to college and pick her up. Because I didn't want her to come with anyone else. The whole college would look at us in awe whenever she used hug me laughing after her paper went outstanding.

It feels really so good when she hugged me like that. I know that's normal for a very happy person to show their happiness by hugging the one in front of them but I always wanted to be that one person whom she'll hug and say The paper went A one!!

I know I would come from office frustrated and irritated but seeing her face a smile would appear on my face and I would be just happy again because I knew now I can look at her for hours.

Meera really studied hard and this made my efforts double. I'm so proud of her and I'm sure.. in her college I'll see a frame inside the principal's office with a photo of Meera and a name written in bold Mrs. Meera Abeer Malhotra.

It would be a so proud moment for me and I'm sure for this. It's the second last day of March. The last paper of Meera and then her birthday. I'm going to make her birthday the most memorable one.. she'll remember it all her life and on her birthday I would confess all my love for her. I'll tell her how much I love her.

I was sleeping beside her and don't know when sleep overpowered me but suddenly there was some hustle and bustle near me

"You can't do this to me. No..!!!" She shouted

She was sitting on the bed with her eyes shut tightly and covering her face with her hands.

"Meeraa" I said waking up panicked

"No..You'll regret it!! Open the door. Open it" she shouted and and I panicked more

"Meeraaa" I shouted and she jerked my hands away

"Open the door damn it" she shouted crying again.

"Meera please open your eyes darling please" I whispered jerking her when she looked at me

"Ab..Abeer.." she whispered and I nodded

It was the nightmare she used to talk about. I looked at her. She was shaking badly and her eyes were all red due to crying.

I instantly hugged her tightly and all what I could hear was her fastened heartbeats due to that nightmare and her sobs!!

I can't see her like this!! So vulnerable !!

"Meera..no one's here see. You're safe. You're with me. Open your eyes sweetheart." I Whispered in her ears continuously still she didn't respond.

"Meeraa..Remember I'm always there for you. No one will ever be able to touch you" I whispered in her ears while she clutched my t-shirt tightly.

I kept hugging her and patted her back till her heartbeat came to normal. After some ten minutes she broke the hug and looked on her duvet.

"I..I'm sorry " she whispered guilty.

"Meera..it's okay. Nothing will happen to you" I said wiping her tears.

"I ruined your sleep" She added

"And I don't mind it. No one will do anything to you otherwise you know Abeer Malhotra right" I said to make her smile and she did.

"Yeah" she whispered smiling and hugged me back.

"Thankyou. It was the smallest nightmare I got." She said and I looked at her shocked

Was this small!!

"When did you got this last time" I asked in hope that she would tell me.

"In..New york..when we had our first fight" she said looking down.

And that's it. Guilt ran down my heart. It was due to me!! And I don't know even know. How she suffered alone that time!! Damn you Abeer Malhotra!!!

"If you think it was due to you then let me tell you, you're going wrong. I'm happy that since some years I didn't get panic attacks" She admitted and I looked shocked at her

Firstly how she knew I'm thinking this..and secondly..
Panic Attacks!!

God!!! Didn't you find anyone else other then Meera !!!!!

"And when did you get the last panic attack" I asked

"Nine and half years back"she replied sighing

Stop Abeer. Don't ask anything else right now!! She's having exam tomorrow !!

"Drink some water Meera and sleep. You've to give exam tomorrow" I said

"No, I'm fine" She replied and laid down closing her eyes and I stroked her hairs! 

I was up till I was satisfied that she's fast asleep again.

I wish I could take away all this pain from you Meera.

Don't know when sleep overpowered me then.

Today is her last paper. I woke up and saw she was already ready in the balcony revising something.

"Keep the book aside now Meera." I said waking up and she looked at me

"Oh you woke up. Good morning" she wished and I smiled

I already have had a very good morning sweetheart.

"You okay now" I asked remembering last night's nightmare

"Yeah. I'm good" She replied

"Good morning. Now keep the book aside" I told and she denied

"I'm hell frightened. I don't know what I'll do today. I feel as if I don't know anything" She rambled and I looked at her

It's her regular dialogue since the exams started.

"Meera. You've said this since first paper and you yourself know that you know everything. Just keep the book aside Sweety and take deep breaths" I said and she frowned

"You'll not know what anxiety is topper" she frowned and I smiled

"Then tell me" I replied and she looked at me

"It's ..worst thing in the world Abeer.. " She whispered and I woke up from the bed and went towards her

I hit the wrong point at wrong time!! Shit man!!!

"Don't let anything affect you so badly that you loose yourself. Just believe in yourself and your success. You'll rock it then! Be it paper or life " I said taking the book from her hand and she looked at me

"You always say like this" She chided

"And I'm right every time.. ain't I" I asked and she smiled

"Fine. I can't win with you in this. Get a bath and come downstairs." She said waking inside and I nodded

"Will be right there in minutes.. by the way last paper Meera. Then you'll be free " I told and she grinned

Yes. Just a day more " she said and I nodded going inside the washroom.

I took a bath and came to walk in when I saw my tux ready with my things.
I smiled at this.

She has been doing this since long. It has become a habit for her and me too.

I got ready and went downstairs when I saw her talking to dad with some papers in her hands

"Morning everyone" I said and they looked at me wishing me back

"What's the papers Meera" I asked

"Nothing Abeer. I'm just making her sign some legal documents related to her driving license and all" dad replied and I nodded

Meera signed those papers and gave them to the man standing near her.

"Slow Meera.. you're rushing as you've missed your train" I said and she looked at me.

"It's nothing like that.. actually we will get late for college.. that's why. See just an hour left" she said and I chuckled

"Not Just an hour Meera..freaking one hour is left.Now come and have your break fast" I told her and we all did our breakfast.

Everyone wished Meera good luck and bidding them bye we went towards the car and drove to the college.

"I'm more happy today you know" Meera said all of a sudden and I looked at her.

"Why" I asked

"I won't be going to college with four black cars with me" She gritted her teeth and I chuckled

"You're impossible Meera.. and wait. You won't go anywhere after this! Because if you go anywhere the security will be with you no matter what" I said and she was about to argue back when I stopped her

"No arguments in this and right now stop stressing that little head of yours" I told and she huffed

We reached her college and she came out of the car.

"All the best. I know you'll just rock it. Just don't panic.. and yeah stay away from those group of idiots" I said gritting my teeth and she glared me

"Not again Abeer. They are my classmates" She said pointing a bunch of idiots.

Classmates!! In which there are two non stop chattering girls whom no one is interested to listen.. not even Meera and those four boys!! I dislike them so much. They smile much more then needed when they see Meera. Ever if I see them crossing their limits with my Meera I'll sue each of them!!

Okay I'm possessive and I can't do anything of that. At least I'm trying. But ever if I see something that's not happening correct way with Meera or any of them crossing the limits of just classmates.. I'll surely break their bones!!

"They don't behave like one. Well, Bye and don't leave.. " I was going to say when she cut me off

"Don't leave the college premises with anyone else instead of me, dad or Joseph. Right!! I know this Abeer" she said and I smiled

"Be careful. Bye" I replied and she nodded

"Bye" she replied and went inside the college and I saw her till she vanished from my sight.

I turned back and saw each girl there ogling at me

Sorry girls. This man has been taken.
That's no new to me...There was a time when I liked this attention but now I don't give it a damn because now I'm dying to grab someone's attention on me. That someone is none other then my wife.. and I want her to give all her attention to me only..

If anyone say I'm mad then yes I'm mad..I'm madly in love with my wife. My Meera.

I chuckled looking at those girls and putting my shades back I drove to office.
As always everyone stood up to which I just gave a crisp nod and went to my personal lift.

I went to my cabin on my floor and Mr. Sinha was already there.

"Mr.Sinha I gave you a work" I asked him as soon as I settled in my chair.

"Yes sir. It's done." he said and I nodded

"Great. Then shall I wait to call a priest then you would tell me" I asked irritated

"Sir. We've listed the total of hundred students from the most reputed colleges all over the world. These students are the best performers of their respective colleges and the head of the colleges have sent their names personally. Just Harvard university is left sir as you said" Mr. Sinha said and I nodded

"Did you talk to them about this" I asked

"Yes sir.. but they aren't ready till you yourself go. They said they want you to select the students itself" He said and I groaned

"Fine. I'll go after third April " I told

"But sir.. it will be late.Maybe a loss to us because many of the MNCs are picking up the fresh interns.. we may loose the best" Mr. Sinha said and I nodded

He's right. But going now means I can't come before two at any cost and it's her birthday. How can I miss that.

But Wait.. if I leave today only I'll be able to come on second early. Yeah I can do that but I've to discuss it with dad!!

"Is dad busy" I asked

"Yes sir he's busy in a meeting with Belgium clients" Mr. Sinha replied

"Fine inform me as soon as dad gets free" I commanded and he nodded going out of my cabin.

Once these interns will come then there's a great possibilities of new ideas as young minds these days have smarter and innovative ideas.

I resumed my work and checked some files and documents when Mr.Sinha came.
"Sir..Mr.Malhotra is free now and he had told to inform you the same" he said and I nodded

I paused the files I was looking at and went straight to dad's cabin knocking the door.

"Dad.." I called him and he nodded

"What happened Abeer. Mr.Sinha told me that you want to discuss something important" asked dad and I nodded going inside

"Dad...you remember I told you about the interns recruitment." I asked and he gave me a nod

"Yeah. And I told you that's a great idea to prepare those young minds from now onwards. It will be a type of investment from our side and I'm sure after some years we will get the result with good interest." Dad said and I nodded

"Yes dad...but there's a slight issue in that" I told and dad moved forward in his chair

"Elaborate" dad asked and I nodded

"Hundred students have been selected as interns from our company from all the top business and management colleges in the world. Some fresh engineers from MIT too. But Harvard wants us to select it's students ourselves." I explained

"And why this" He asked

"Ofcourse dad because according to them they can't be partial with the students of same positions. They want us to take this responsibility as it's our work. MIT too do the same but since I'm an ex-MITian therefore they did this for us" I said and he nodded

"And we can't let go this one because you too know Harvard produces the best. " dad told

"Of course Dad and that's the reason I came to you. I've to go Cambridge and that too before third because we may loose the best and I always want best" I said and he looked at me

"You mean you're going to skip April second" dad asked and I smirked

"Can I dad? You think so " I asked and he chuckled

"So when you're leaving. Today itself". Dad asked and I smiled

" Yes dad. I'll sign the contract with Harvard and will be back before 12:00 am of second. I can't miss that day whatever the reason is" I said and dad looked at me smiling

"This birthday will be very special for her. I'm sure you're making it awesome" dad asked and I looked at him confusingly.

How he knows about my plan!!

"How do you know this birthday will be special for her" I asked

"I just said that casually" dad said and I nodded

"So dad..I'll be leaving at seven today. Will reach tomorrow and after completing my work I'll be back on her birthday" I told dad and he nodded

"Good luck son..and remember choose not according to only grades.. " Dad said when I cut him off

"Choose according to the person's behavior and innovative mind" I completed and he smiled

"Exactly." Dad said and I nodded looking at my watch

"I'll pick her up don't worry" dad said smirking while I smiled looking down

"No need.I'll pick my wife myself and moreover then I'll not be able to meet her for days." I frowned and dad laughed

"My love sick son" Dad said and I smiled

"See you in some days dad.. tell mom I'll be back soon. Bye" I told and he bid me bye

Joseph was ready with the car and we drove towards Meera's college.

"Joseph tell the pilot to be ready with jet." I said and he nodded

I called Patrick to inform him.

"Hello sir" He said picking up the call.

"Patrick I'll be reaching Cambridge tomorrow in evening so inform our hotel to get the master suite clean and clear " I told

"Sure sir. Anything else" Patrick asked

"Yeah..Inform Harvard university about my visit and fix appointment of 9 am with the head" I commanded

"Sure sir. Anything else" he asked again

"No. Keep me updated with everything." I said hanging up.

We reached Meera's college and I saw her standing with bunch of those same idiots.

Doesn't she get anyone else!

Thank god Divya is with her.

What will I say to her. Won't she be sad that I'm going on the time when her birthday is on the way.

Wait a minute? Will she be sad. I'm already having a feeling of missing her.

Seeing her face has become my daily need.. how will I live without seeing her for two days!

Will she miss me? I hope she misses me. Not as badly as I do.. but I hope she misses me too!!

With me I'm taking her laughter and her smiles.. and her frowns.. and her pouts... and...her every action. Feelings keep people alive for years...these feelings are more then enough to keep me alive for two days.. and on the top of that... I'll prepare a beautiful surprise for her !!
