Abeer's POV

"My parents" She whispered and a tear left her eye.

"Meera.. what happened. Why are you crying" I panicked and asked concerned and she wiped her tears away.

"Abeer.. not everyone in this world is as lucky as you or even others that they can live happily with their parents... I'm the unlucky one here" She cried looking at me

"Meera.. where are they.. tell me.. I'll bring them here" I told

"Abeer.. you'll not do anything like this and moreover I'll not call them here on any condition. For me her life is the most important one and I can't risk it at any cause" Dad said in a very serious yet dangerous tone.

"But dad.. " I was going to say when he stopped me

"No Arguments at all" He whisper yelled and went away from there.

Why is there a threat to her from her parents.. What have they done to her and moreover she don't even like her parents.. that's the reason she never talks to them over phone too.

May be they've done something bad with her..But still she cares about them!!

You've Biggest heart Meera!!

I looked at her. She was standing near the OT watching the bulb of it.

"Meera... rest for sometime" I told and she looked at me and turned again

"I'm fine" She said

"I can see how much. Stop lying to me. You can't " I told

"When will mom come out" she asked controlling her tears

" Very soon " I said and went near her.

"You know last time when she had an attack" she whispered

"Yeah.. some 10 years ago.." I said and she nodded

"I was the reason. I came in her life and all this happened. I shouldn't have ever come in her life. They said right.I'm a bad omen" she lamented and tears came out of her eyes

"Meeraa.. what are you even saying. Nothing was because of you" I said hugging her and she hugged me more tightly

"I'm a bad luck in everyone's life. I.. I still know.. if that time she wouldn't have had an attack she would've been completely fine now. But... but due to me..she... she's in this state.. I'm.. I'm the reason for all this... " she sobbed

"Sushh!!! Meeraa.. what are you even saying. Are you mad. Nothing is because of you. Understand that okay. It was just written to happen and it happened. Stop blaming yourself for everything." I said patting her back.

"Everything will be fine soon."I whispered

"Everything can't be fine in my life.. I was a born mess... with a fucked up life" She said chuckling bitterly

"Meeraa.. you know you can share with me... " I told and she looked at me instantly breaking the hug!

"No. I.. I can't trust you" She said and I sighed.

That's true. The bitter truth!!

"Share whenever you feel like. Now come. Take some rest" I said and she sighed

"Don't do this Abeer. Don't make me get addicted to all this" She whispered

"Get addicted. I don't mind.. at all" I stated looking into her eyes and she sighed

She went on the couch and sat there closing her eyes.
I went to dad and sat near him.

"It's been more then six hours dad. How much more time" I asked

"Doctor has not said anything yet Abeer. " he Said looking at the OT.

His eyes were also tensed and tired. I'm afraid that it may affect even his health!!

"Don't worry dad. She'll be fine" I assured and he nodded

"Dad..I think you must go home and rest" I said

"No Abeer. I'm fine here." He told

"But dad. I'm here" I said but he denied.

"Okay do one thing. Go to the room and rest there on the bed" I told and finally after some struggle I convinced him.

"Call me immediately when doctors come out from OT" he said and I nodded

He went away and I looked at Meera.
She was sleeping with her head resting at the wall.

I know you're uncomfortable Sweetheart !

I went there and rested her head on my shoulder.

"Give us a chance Meera please. I promise I will pass every test this time" I whispered to her sleeping form

It was 5 in the morning when doctor came out and I slowly lifted her head up but she woke up opening her eyes a little.
And the next instant she was fully awake and shifted away from me seeing her face in my hands.

"Doctor is here" I said and she nodded

"Joseph call dad" I commanded him on the call .

"How's mom" I asked and he looked at both of us.

"Mr.Malhotra...don't worry. Heart transplantation is successful. Her body is responding to the new heart grafted.." Doctor told smiling

" Is she okay now." Dad came and asked

"Yeah..But...." He again said looking at all of us

"But what..." Meera asked

"She will be kept in ICU for a day" Doctor said

"But why..you right now said that surgery was successful" I asked

"Yes Mr Malhotra. Surgery is successful but you know human body doesn't accept foreign organs so easily. She has to be kept in ICU for a day to have a constant watch..and after that we'll shift her in room for another some days." Doctor guided and we nodded

"Can..can we see her" I asked

"Let us shift her into ICU then you can" he said and we nodded.

Soon mom was shifted to ICU room from OT.

We all went inside the ICU room and I looked at Meera.

She was controlling hard not to cry.
I held her hand and squeezed it and there she closed her eyes and tears flew through them!

"Shh..she's alright see" I said and she nodded

"She....she's looking so..so pale" she whispered and dad hugged her.

"You're here right. Make her eat a lot and then she'll look fat" dad said and we chuckled

"Okay now dad listen...you and Meera go home now. Take some rest. Then come back in the late morning" I told and dad nodded

And my stubborn wife denied!!
I knew that!!

"I'll not go anywhere" she said

"Meera..not now" I stated and she frowned

"I said na I'll not go anywhere" she said again.

I was going to say her but before that dad stopped me.

"Okay Meera.. For now be here but then when I'll come you both will go home...okay. And now no more discussions" he stated and she frowned

"First option was far better" She murmured under her breath.

"I heard that" I said and she glared me.

"Well.. you both didn't get your quality time too! You would get that" Dad said winking at me and I looked at Meera who was also totally shocked.

" Okay. Now I'm going" he told and we nodded.

After he went away I looked at mom.

I love you mom! Wake up soon!! Waiting for you!

"You just sit here. I'll come with coffee" I said

"No it's okay. I don't want any. I haven't even brushed" She told

"That's a lame excuse.. You didn't even sleep" I mocked and she looked at me.

"I said I don't want anything. Spare me please" She said and I sighed

"Meeraa.. " I whispered

"What" She snapped

Lioness is back!!

"Nothing" I said and sighed.

She won't listen anyways!!

I was going out before which doctor came.

"Mr. Malhotra, we've to take some of her tests" doctor said and I nodded

"Sure.." I told

They took some tests of mom. Many Machines and tubes were already connected with mom's body.

"Why you're afraid of hospital" I asked

"Huh.. " She looked at me as if she didn't understand

"I'm asking you only Meera. Why are you afraid of hospital" I asked again

"Who said. I'm not " she said

"I know that. See still seeing an injection in doctor's hand you've crossed all your fingers with each other..and yesterday you were shivering from top to bottom when you entered hospital " I said and she sighed

"Don't dig into it Abeer... it's of no use now" She told

"But why" I asked

"Because I'll no longer be part of your life. Then why you want to know about me now" She said

"Because I want to. I live in present Meera.. and in present you're My Wife" I reasoned

My Wife!! How much I love this!!! An trust me Meera.. you'll be My Wife Only!!

"Stay out of it Abeer. It will be better..for both you and me" she said

"We'll definitely talk about everything Meeraa... Everything" I stated focusing the last word.

"Mr. Malhotra..Your mother's condition is stable right now. If she's stable like this also till tomorrow we'll shift her to her room as I told you earlier" doctor said and I nodded.

"Thanks doctor" I thanked and he nodded going out.

Never wished much from you God.

It was 10 in the morning and dad came to hospital.

"Children.. Now you both go and have rest for sometime.I'm here." Dad said and I nodded

"Dad.. we'll be back till 1 pm with your lunch" Meera told

"Oh Meera.. Why don't you spend some time with your husband and let me spend some with my wife here" dad said and she looked everywhere but not at me.

"I.. I'll.." She was trying to say.

Dad's not leaving a chance to tease her!!
And I'm really enjoying this!!

"Stop teasing her dad" I said and he smiled

"Send my food with Joseph" Dad told and she nodded

"Shall we" I asked and she nodded

We reached home and as soon as she looked at the mansion a smile appeared on her face.

"You like this mansion" I asked

"I love it because my most important people live in it" She replied

"It means I'm not in your most important list" I asked and she rolled her eyes at me and went inside. She was going towards her room when I stopped her.

"This way Meera. Our room is here" I said and she nodded sighing.

We came to our room and she looked at the surroundings.

"Meera... you go and freshen up..I'll make breakfast " I told

"Chef uncle will do it.. You're also tired. Take rest" She said and I smiled

"Someone's caring"I smirked

"Yeah.. because I'm a human " she said going inside the washroom.

I love her in every way!!!

I took out a pair of clothes and moved to another room and took bath and got ready. I went back to my room.

It was half and hour when she walked out from the closet wearing a striped long sleeves T shirt tucked with mint green midi skirt!

Did I tell you she looks beautiful in anything she wears!!

"Abeer" she yelled and I looked at her

"Whaat" I asked

"I'm calling you since last so many minutes" she shouted again

Damn Abeer !!!

"I'm.. I'm sorry.." I said

"Meera.." I whispered and she looked at me

"I'm making breakfast come downstairs" I said

"You don't need to do that. I told you that! " She told and went downstairs!

I too went downstairs. She was talking with cook uncle as it's been ages!

"You know uncle I missed your Rajma chawal soooo much and you all also" She said like a kid and I smiled.

I love this kid inside her too!!

"Everyone missed you too Meera child" Cook uncle told and she smiled

"Uncle..can I too get Rajma Chawal" I asked and she went away from there.

"Sure Abeer child " he said and I smiled

"Uncle pack dad's lunch too" Came her voice from the hall when I looked at her.

"Where are you going" I asked

"None of your concern" she snapped

"Of course it is.. My wife's everything is my concern" I said going outside towards lawn after her and she gritted her teeth.

Can I admit that I like..sorry ....I love to tease her!!

"Why don't you spare me alone Malhotra.." She said while sitting on the grass.

"One minute.. First thing.. Because I don't want to spare you alone and secondly we've sitting arrangement here" I said pointing to the garden's sitting arrangement .

"Wow...I didn't see that" she mocked and I looked at her amused.

"You're spoiling your clothes Meera" I told and she sighed

"I'm not like you rich brat!! Who'll care about getting her clothes bad in mud.. And neither I care about anyone near me seeing me like this. I'm liking sitting here..so I'll sit here. Why this is bothering you so much. You've a sooo big home..go and sit wherever you want..not to forget spoiling your Gucci clothes and Nike shoes " she mocked again and I sighed and sat near her and she looked at me shocked.

"I asked you a simple question...and you gave a long lecture" I said and she looked away.

"Meera... can't we be like this only" I asked and she looked at me.

"I know you're going to think on that divorce decision after mom comes home..." I whispered and she sighed

"So what you want me to do Abeer. Live like this with you.. With a fear inside me that don't know when you'll bash at me without any reason" she said hugging herself like a ball.

"Meera..everyone learn by mistakes... And everyone wants an another chance to correct their mistakes.I know no one deserves third or fourth chance..but everyone deserves second chance! Hope I too deserve at least a single chance" I told standing up from there and went inside.

I don't want to force her.. but then I don't even want her to go now.... never.

Sometimes let destiny play..I let it play.. but there I got a hint too! To not let her go away from me.

To save her.. secure her... to protect her... And I'm gonna do that. Otherwise why did the call came on the same time when she was signing.

She could have denied the call but she didn't.

She could've signed the papers then received the call but she didn't..

Sometimes believing your fate isn't wrong at all. My love for her is true. I know that!! And one day I'll prove it to her also.

May be that's the reason that after so much fights and issues we're still tied together.

May be that's the reason you're still my wife...

May be that's the reason You're still Meera Abeer Malhotra..

And trust me my love!!

You'll be Meera Abeer Malhotra only. Forever.

This time I'll prove myself.
