Abeer's POV

She wants to go away from me.
She's happy going away from me.
She said that her happiness is going away from him.

I'm not that bad Meera. I too have a heart...yeah it's not as big as yours but it is all for you.

Her each and every word is just touching my heart and that's now I'm realizing I'm in love with her.

I've never loved anyone else accept her. That I've realised now. I never loved Emma that too I realised.

Know why? I never cried for her...I never felt this for her what I'm feeling for Meera. I never left my work for her.

I was never this caring for her. I just liked something in Emma but...I love everything in Meera.

I never regret that she went away but I'm regretting that due to me Meera is going away from me...and I'll regret this mistake forever.

But today I realised something that dad always said...

Selfless love.

If her happiness is away from me...better I stay away from her.

If she want to get free from this relationship...I ...I'll give her what she wants. I'll give her divorce but I love you Meera and these piece of papers can't change this .

I hope everything was fine. I hope I didn't have done that shit then very soon I would've told you what I really feel about you. I would've told you that you're my first.. And of course my last love. Everyone was so right about you. It's just me who was blind not to see your inner beauty.

But don't worry.. I'll set you free!
I'll set you free from every promise. I'll set you free from my image. I'll set you free from my bounds. I'll set you free from me. Very soon I'll not be there. I'll free you from everything related to me...but I'll not be freeing myself from your memories. Even if you want you'll not be able to make me go away from your memories. I'm addicted to them and I'll live my whole life with your memories.

The way you laugh... The way you smile..the way you look down shyly..the way you become happy when you see food and mostly desserts. The way you read book engrossing yourself in it fully. The way you shout... The way you taunt.. The way you become angry. It will be imaginary now..and I'll miss everything in real but...

Anything for you. Anything for my love. Anything for my lifeline!

She wanted to go to library. I know it's her favorite spot. She has never gone there but today all of a sudden she's asking.

How can I deny you Meera. Never!!
But how she'll go. She's weak.
If I'll take her there she'll not go.
I'll tell lady home staff !

"I'll call home staff to help you go there" I said and she looked at me

"My legs are perfectly fine. I can move by own "she told

"You're still my responsibility "I replied and moved out of the room.

I went downstairs and told any home staff for help.

I then called Advik !

"How is she" he asked as soon as he picked up the call.

"Better then before" I said

"Abeer..." He told and I hummed.

"Are you okay" he asked

"I want to meet you " I said

"Are you crying" he asked and I smiled wiping my tears.

Best friends know even your voice modulation!!!

"No. I just want to meet you as early as possible" I said

"Okay. Right now I'm in the court. I'll be free in two hours. Have your dinner and meet me at our spot" he told

"Okay" I replied and cut the call.

I firstly prepared dinner for her and then went towards library and saw her looking at books.

"This is so amazing. So big. I've never seen more big library" she said to home staff while she chuckled.

"Mam it has to be. After all the best home in US" she told

I coughed a little to show my presence and as soon as she looked at me she turned herself back.

I know you don't even want to see my face !!
Don't worry. Very soon you'll not!

"I..I came to tell you that I'll be going out after dinner. It's eight already. Come and have dinner." I said and she nodded

"I'll have mine. You go" she said

"I'll not go before you eat and take your medicines and go to bed " I told

"You can't tell me what to do and what to not. I'm not a kid. " she said

"You're still my wife and that's my responsibility to take your care. At least don't snatch it from me for some days" I told and she looked at me shocked and then nodded

"Okay. I'm coming" she said and I smiled a bit.

"Did you choose what to read" I asked

"I will" she snapped and I sighed.

"You can try this one" I said picking out one from the last shelf and handing her.

"It ends with us " she whispered and I nodded.

Yeah! It ends! But irony is not with us!!

"Thanks." She said without any emotions and I nodded

I can't expect anything more !

"Come" I said offering my hand

"I'll manage" she told and started walking slowly when I gestured the home staff to help her.

"Madam come " she asked and Meera looked at me.

"I can walk" she said glaring her and I smiled inwardly.

She's behaving like me now!!

"I'm waiting downstairs" I said and went down.

We ate our food silently. The home staff too went away and suddenly my phone rang.

It was Scarlett aunty. I put the phone on speaker

"Hello aunty" I said

"Hello Abeer. How are you and how's my sweety" she asked and I looked at Meera.
Tears pooled in her eyes.

How much I hope aunty you would've been here. You would've stopped me!

"I..aunty when are you coming" I asked

"In two hours" she said and I looked at her

"But aunty..you were coming after fifteen days. Its just 12-13 days " I told

"Yeah Abeer but wedding is completed and I'm missing Meera very much" she said and now the heart feels much heavy.

How I'll tell her that just due to me her sweety will go away from her forever...just due to me!!

" Okay aunty. You come. I'll send Joseph to airport " I said and she hummed hanging the call.

"She's coming" I told and she wiped her tears away and nodded

"I'll tell her everything" I whispered and she looked at me.

"She'll be angry with you" Meera said and I smiled painfully.

"She'll hate me...just.. Just like you" I told and she looked at me

"She can never hate you. Never" she said and I smiled.

"And why are you so sure" I asked

"A mother can be very angry on son but can never hate him" she said and I smiled.

"I'll be back till she's here" I told giving her the medicines

"You don't need to do this all . I'll do my work by myself. " she told

"Take them" I said pointing the medicines and she chided.

She took the medicines and I sent her to the room with a home staff.

Yeah I told one of them to be here till I come !!

"Take her care and remember if she faces a little problem you'll be fired " I said and she nodded.

"Don't worry sir. I'll be there with her only" she told and I nodded

I called Joseph to pick aunty and I myself went to the banks of Hudson.

I reached there and saw Advik there only.
I parked my car there and came out.

"You were crying" he asked

"No" I said

"I didn't ask. I said you were crying" he stated and I looked at him.

Yes I was crying while driving.

I don't know what happened I hugged him immediately !!

"I...I love her" I confessed and he hugged me back tightly.

"I know that idiot. I know. " he replied

"I love her. I really love her but I can't say anything to her. She, she wants me to give divorce to her. She said her happiness is without me. I can't.. I can't let her go..I.. I love her" I cried

"Hey..hey..Abeer. What are you doing. Stop crying first and sit here" he said making me sit on the bench near us.

"Wait here I'll be back" he added and ran towards his car

Soon he came back with water bottle.

"Drink water first and calm yourself down" he told handing me bottle.

I took a sip from the bottle and wiped my tears.

"Advik..I love Meera" I said and he smiled.

"I know that. It's just it took so much time for you to understand that " he stated

"I'm a very shitty man I know Advik. I..I never wanted to do anything like this with her. I was just very much angry. I..I couldn't digest her hugging anyone else so happily. She flinched at my touch but she hugged him very nicely. It's just I felt very jealous and overprotective..  I.. I'm very bad I know that. I'm worst. I said her something which I couldn't even think of. I said her so much that I would've never said to her..even never thought all this about her. I...said her whore. " I said and he looked angrily at me and slapped me.

"This will really remind you that what you said to her" he shouted and I looked at him

"Kill me if you can Advik...please! " I whispered and he looked at me and immediately hugged me.

"Shutup Abeer. How can you say so. Don't even think so okay. Understand this. Otherwise I'll punch the shit out of you" he said

"Meera is amazing Advik. I've never seen a selfless girl like her who can do anything for others and specially whom she loves or I must say who truly loves her " I told

Yes !! She's amazing. She did so much for mom and dad.. But why she did all this for mom and dad. Why she loves them so much !!

"Abeer..in which thoughts" He asked and I looked at him.

"Her thoughts." I admitted

"Abeer...you really did mistake that you and I both know " he said

"I know. And I'm ready for any remorse. I was even ready to surrender myself to police but.." I was going to say when he completed what I was saying.

" She didn't let this happen" he completed and I nodded

"I tell you na, she's so good. So good... How can I do this to her Advik. " I said and wiped my tears .

"I know she's very good and that I knew when I saw her for the first time in your reception" He told and I looked confused at him.

"How" I asked

"I'm a lawyer Abeer.  I can read people and secondly you remember when you hurt her hand what she did? Just hid it somehow so that aunty could not see it. That's when I knew she's an amazing person and you Abeer, you were really blind to not see this just because you were overpowered by this same anger." He said and I nodded

"I know I'm blind. I'm an idiot. She'll never forgive me for this.. I've hurt her very much " I lamented

" That's true but when you've realised what you did and what you feel for her then why don't you tell her" he said and I smiled

"You know..she's so much good that even after I've did so much for her, if she comes to know that I love her...she'll once again sacrifice her happiness for my happiness. She's too good for me and I'm too bad for her. Maybe...I can never be good ." I whispered 

"What do you mean Abeer" Advik asked

"Meera hates me. That you and I both know. Love is far away when she don't even like me. She said that her happiness is without me and now if I force her to live with me I swear I'll better prefer dying then forcing her for living with me in a hell. I know she'll be ready to once again sacrifice her happiness for me..but she has done it for once and all. Now it's my turn. For sacrificing my love for her. For letting the caged bird to fly free. For making her smile forever " I said and a tear escaped my eye.

"Abeer, you know what letting her go really means. She isn't going for some days or months..Do you.. " he was going to say when I looked at him.

"Prepare the divorce papers Advik" I whispered

Dad always used to say...

"If your love is true and selfless it will return to you. It might take time...but it will !!
God will find the ways to match you with your The One !!!

I hope this dad !!!

Time to  free you from all the relations with me Meera. Time to give you your happiness.
