Meera's POV

These party things are so boring...but I'm here with Naina helping her for her party.

"Meera. I'm exhausted. Let's have something" said Naina taking out a bottle of white wine.

"Sorry Naina. I don't drink" I told and she looked shocked at me.

"What. Like seriously. Not even wine" She asked and I chuckled

"Nope " I replied

"Really. Your husband's hobby is to drink" she said and chuckled

"I really hope that hobby dies soon" I said and she smiled

"If you try then it'll die soon" she told

"Okay. Let me bring juice for you" She said and I smiled.

She's a cheerful lady !!

"Okay.I'll also come. " I told and she nodded

"Do you mind me drinking too" she asked

"Drinking sometimes is not a sin but drinking till senses knock down and drinking frequently is really a sin in my eyes" I said

"Then I'm in safe zone. I just drink when I've to celebrate something" she told and I smiled

"Yes. You know you can drink juice too" I said and she looked at me.

"Honestly not a bad idea." She said and threw the wine in her hand in sink and poured juice in her glass too

"Whoaa..sudden change" I asked and she chuckled

"Yeah. Giving you company as you can't give me" she said and I laughed

"You're so cheerful Naina" I told

"Because you're so sweet" she said and I smiled

"You know Meera, Abeer and you look perfect with each other.I mean yeah we know what the reality of that relation was but I'm so happy that you both are giving a try at least." She said

"I really don't know Naina. You know its like I want to give us a chance but then I'm afraid that what if he becomes the same Abeer which he was months ago.." I said looking down

"Meera.. I really don't know why all this happened but yes I'm really very happy that he married you" she smiled

"Why you and Advik don't like Emma" I asked

"Because my husband gets negative vibes from her and you know best friends have that unknown connection by which they come to know if something happening in each other's life is right or not. Moreover Emma's a model and you see, being in fashion field I've heard great things about her " she told and I chuckled

"Hey..by the way yours is love marriage na" I asked

"Yes. And I proposed him on my knees" she bluffed

"Wow. Amazing.it would've been so amazing na" I asked

"Yeah. I mean he was shocked and then he showed me tantrums"she snapped and I chuckled

" Then what did you do" I asked

"I told him that my knees are aching ,I don't want answer I'm standing up and he can go to hell "she said and I laughed

" That was savage. I mean a lawyer failed that day and a lover won" I told and she chuckled

"Yes. And then he as a gentleman bent on his knees and proposed me with a ring" She said and blushed

"Someone's blushing" I teased and she chuckled

"I'm waiting for the day when I'll tease you like this" she said and I smiled looking down.

Things are mending. Everything is coming in line. Will everything be good.

He has already entered my space. I'm getting habituated of him being near me. But I'm afraid!

Afraid of trying and then shattering into pieces.
Afraid of him going away from me or me going away from him!
Afraid that what if something happens which takes away all the happiness I'm having
Because my life has never been happy!

"Meeraaa" came Naina's voice

"Yeah sorry. Was thinking something " I said and she smiled

"Everything is ready. Let's go. My friends and some business clients might be coming anytime" she said and I nodded

"Yeah sure" I told

"You know many of them would be jealous of you" she said

"What. But why. I've never ever met them" I told

"Yeah. But did you forget who you're... Mrs. Malhotra" she said winking and it's now when I really realized who I am!!!

One minute. You admitted something Meera!!

"I really don't care" I said and she chuckled

"Show the same attitude to them too" she replied and I smirked.

Bad habits affect early right!!

Soon many of her friends and business client came.

"Oh my God. You're Abeer Malhotra's wife right" asked someone and I looked at Naina while she shrugged her shoulders.

"Yeah" I replied

"Damn!! You're so lucky I tried so much on him but he never paid attention" she said

And she's saying this in front of his wife!
Wow!!

"His choice is always best you know" said Naina winking at me and I chuckled

"But people never knew about both" Asked someone else

"Beause we never wanted people to get involved" I Said smiling and she looked at me

"Did Abeer really chose you" asked someone

"I'm here means he really did " I said smirking and she looked wide eyes with me while Naina passed me another smirk.

"Ladies if you're done questioning to Meera lets start the party" Naina said and I chuckled

We all went inside and the party started.

Honestly I was looking around the girls and ladies; some of whom were looking at me with weird faces and some with genuine smiles.

"Hello Meera" came a voice

"Emm.. hey" I said.

Who's she? I don't know her!!

"I know you might be thinking who I'm " She asked and I nodded

"I'm Abeer's college friend Isabelle " She introduced

"Oh hello. I'm sorry.. I didn't know" I told

"Yeah. That's why I told you. By the way, firstly I used to think the girl who'll marry Abeer will be so lucky but seeing you I can say that you both are very lucky to get each other" she said and I smiled.

The little did everyone know that how this marriage happened.

"Don't worry. I know how your marriage took place" She said and I looked at her shocked.

"Em.. How.. " I asked

"I'm just not his friend.. I'm one of his ex... But you know we're still very good friends..so I get to know because he was dating Emma " She told and I nodded.

A bit of jealousy?

Nah... Why'll I be!!

Reallyyy???

Okay fine Yeah... I'm!!

"Why did you both broke up " I asked

"Emm.. we both weren't of each other's type. You know like we didn't has those feelings.. then I got someone you call true love.." she said and I smiled

"I really wish you both a happy married life" she wished and I nodded

"You too Isabelle " I said and she smiled.

She's a sweet lady.

The party was going on. It was good but I'm a not a party freak. I don't like this hustle and bustle environment. I'm a girl who prefers privacy more.

"Enjoying the party" asked Naiana and I chuckled

"Of course. Now come let's cut the cake" I said and she nodded.

"Ladies and... Ladies..So here welcoming the super awesome Fashion designer Mrs.Naina Khanna. Congratulations on your big success Naina.I pray that you achieve more and more success every day." I congratulated and she smiled.

She cut the cake and we cheered up for her singing song.

She fed me the cake and I fed her too.

"Thanks darling" She said and I smiled

"This one's for you" I smiled handing her the box.

"Wow. This is so beautiful. Thankyou Meera" she thanked

"Okay. Now ladies it's time for some dance and drinks" She shouted and I chuckled.

The Dj started and everyone danced.

Did I tell I'm a bit shy!!
In front of these sophisticated ladies!!

Suddenly Naina excused herself and after a few minutes she came towards me smiling

"Abeer called you. Your phone's unreachable" She said and I looked at her.

As if we have each other's number!!

"Oh okay. What he was saying" I asked

"Meera. Your husband wants to talk to you" she grinned and everyone giggled.

Why has he called!!

"Hello" I said

"Hey. How are you. Enjoying party" he asked

"emm.. yeah" I said
"What happened Meera" he asked again
"Nothing. Actually I'm not a party Freak so you know I don't like these all much" I said and he chuckled.

"And I'm totally opposite " he said and I chuckled

"So you called me to tell this in your busy schedule " I asked

"Arey! No. Acutally the thing is I can't pick you up. I'm a bit busy. There's very important meeting and I can't delay it at any cost.. so I'll send Joseph to pick you up" he said

"Yeah I know.. but It's not necessary. I'll come by my own" I told

"Not at all. Joseph will be right there and you've to come with him only and don't stop anywhere. Understand " he stated

"But Abeer.. ' I was going to say when he stopped me.

"I don't like to repeat" he said

Pheww!! He never listens.

"Fine" I sighed.

"Great. Now enjoy your party " he said and I giggled.

His meeting!!!

"Abeer... all the best" I wished

"Thankyou. Bye" he said and hanged up.

I turned there and there
Naina was standing smirking.

"What" I asked

"Nothing. Someone was missing you" She said and I looked down.

"Its..it's nothing like that." I told

"The smile you're giving is saying so much you know" She said

"Naina. It's nothing like this. He just said he's busy so Joseph will pick me up" I replied

"Whoa. I thought he must be sending anyone.. Was he really going to come to pick you up" she asked

"He even dropped me here" I said

"Whaatt..and he didn't even come and meet me" she told frowning and I chuckled

"He was very late..and right now too he's busy in meeting..so he'll not be able to come" I told and she smiled.

I like her company. She's really very sweet!!

"Meera..can I ask you something" she said and I nodded

"Do he really have your number" She asked and I looked away.

"Honestly telling..we both don't have each other's number. You know how these months after marriage went...and then curfew...we never wanted each other's number." I said

"I knew it...but now first thing..go and exchange your numbers!! You'll need it" She told winking and I smiled looking down.

The party was going amazing!!
After it was over I received Joseph's call.

"Madam where are you, I'm outside" he said

"Coming Joseph" I replied and after bidding Naina bye I went outside.

"Joseph..you're here then who went with him" I asked and he smiled.

"Three cars madam. Sir and yours safety is my utmost responsibility" he said and I smiled.

"So let's go" I told and he nodded
I sat inside and opened my phone.

We were on the way when suddenly car stopped with jerk.

"Ouch..What happened" I asked

"Madam.you okay" asked Joseph

"I'm alright but what happened" I asked

"Mam,our car hit slightly with bike" he said and I looked shocked at him

"Whaatt..Oh my god. Is that person okay. What's driver doing! You should be careful while driving" I said coming out of the car

"We'll see it Madam. You don't need to come out " he told when I glared him and he didn't say anything

I went out and saw a man with back facing me while two bodyguards talking with me.

"Excuse me..are you okay" I asked and he turned around.

"Oh my God. Rohan...." I said and he looked at me.

"Meera...oh I'm sorry... Mrs. Malhotra" he grinned and I chuckled

He came and hugged me and I hugged him back.

Rohan was my very good friend since school. We studied in same class till high school and then he came NY for further studies but we lost contact after he came here.

It's so good to see him. He's so jolly and his sense of humor is amazing!!

"Yaarr it's sooo good to see you after sooo many years" he said and pinched my cheeks.

"Ouch. Dog.. You still will not let me live without pinching my cheeks" I told and he laughed

"Not at all" he said and we laughed.

"One minute. Oh damn!! You okay or not...you got hit by car...are you fine" I asked

"Arehh..don't worry. I'm perfectly alright" he said

"So you married huh and that too with Abeer Malhotra" he said and I smiled thinking of him.

"Yeah." I replied

"So how's life going on in NY" He asked and I smiled

"It's great. Rohan come home...meet Abeer" I asked

"Oh no no...I'm late right now. My girlfriend is waiting for me" he said and I chuckled.

"I wanna meet her soon now" I told

"Of course.. For now bye and take care" he said hugging me.

"Bye." I replied and turned to go inside car

"Joseph. Drive towards home. He's safe " I said

"Is he your friend " he asked

"Yeah!! Very good friend" I told and he nodded

"Joseph ask Abeer where's he" I said and he nodded

"Mam...Sir's not picking up the call. Might be in meeting till now" he told and I nodded

We came home and as soon as I entered I saw Abeer sitting on one of the couch.

I smiled looking at him...

I don't know why and how but his face makes me smile.
But till when is this smile going to continue...
Don't know... But I know that he's making me forget that how and why this marriage took place..
He's making me believe that we can be like normal couple.

"Tumhari hasi me sama khone laga hai...
Dil mera kuch armaan peerone laga hai !
Bas ek hawa ka jhonka sab udaa na le jaaye...
Ab na jaane ye dar kyu hone hai !!
