Abeer's POV

I've never seen her in so much anger ever. Ofcourse who'll not be when anyone say you something about their parents.

Dad and mom never raised their hands on me. This was the first time when anyone raised their hand on me.

I was zoned out for a minute.

I was hell angry but I don't know what happened to me when I saw her.

She hurt her leg too and Scarlett aunty was glaring me so badly.

Yeah! That's my mistake this time fine !!

At night I did my dinner but aunty didn't speak to me so I went to her room.

"Aunty" I said and she looked at me.

"Do you want anything" she asked

"Why are you not talking to me" I asked

"As if you don't know the reason" she said

"Aunty. Trust me I didn't mean that, but I was so angry that it came out of my mouth" I sighed

"Do you even have a slight idea that how your words can affect someone Abeer. What has that child done huh. Was this her mistake that she saved your reputation... Or this ,that she came here leaving her everything and was in a mansion for four months like a prisoner" she questioned

"Aunty if she wanted she could've gone with bodyguards " I said calmly

"She's not habituated to it Abeer. She likes to fly like a bird and you were asking a bird to get caged. And tell me you said me this thing so calmly. What would've you lost, if you said this with same voice to her ? She would've listened but no. And you didn't stop there. You went to her parents. Who gave you right to do so. That's not my upbringing. Neither is this Mrs. Malhotra's upbringing." she whisper yelled and I looked away

"I was angry" I said

"That's your problem from start. You used to become angry for your things in childhood. Now things have changed into people. Don't do this child. There's a limit and if this limit will be crossed then you'll regret later " she told and I looked at her.

"Please don't stop talking to me. I'm sorry" I said

"Say sorry to her whom you've hurt" She glared and I nodded.

"You're going Florida tomorrow right" I asked

"You remember " she asked

"How can I forget it. Now tell me when's flight. I'll drop you " I said

"Abeer. I'll go. Joseph will drop me" she told and I nodded

"Keep that with you and if you need something else then tell me" I told giving her cash.

"It's more then enough Abeer. Now go and sleep its too late. Good night" She said and I nodded going back.

Scarlett aunty went away and I too went office but what surprised me was she came office with my lunch.

I did my lunch with Meera.
She was looking beautiful even in this casual.

She's already beautiful!!

Yeah I know!!

I said her to wait for dinner too and she waited but she was still not ready to eat with me.

"I'm not your slave" She said

Of course you're not!!

"Never. You're my wife" I stated and she looked at me shocked

Did that slip out of my mouth!!

"No one's here , that you've to fake" She said again

"Its true. Isn't it. You're my wife" I told and she sighed

"What do you want Abeer. Come straight to the point. " She asked

"You, to eat here only from now" I said

"And why so suddenly. You're planning something again right" she asked and I sighed

"I'm not a killer for God's sake" I told but she didn't listen and was going.

Why the hell is she judging my patience!

"Meera stop this and come and have your dinner" I raised my voice and she looked shocked at me.

But surprisingly she didn't say anything and sat one of the chairs....

6 chairs away from me.

Wow!!!

We did our dinner silently. Neither she said anything nor I.

Suddenly my phone vibrated.

It was from Advik.

"Did you see the news" he asked

"What happened" I questioned

"NY going through a curfew for next 10 days." He said

"What the hell. Why so suddenly " I asked

"Some legal issue." He told

"I'll call Mayor " I said

"Yeah" he replied hanging up!

I called the mayor and he said that's for some public security.

"Damn it" I gritted

"What happened" She asked

"Curfew in the city for next ten days" I told

"Whaat." She yelled

"My office will be closed." I frowned!

"Oh no! home staff is not there and... aunty is in Florida " She told and I sighed.

"I'm sorry..There's not even a single staff " I said

"It's okay. I don't mind doing important household works" she replied

"No you'll not do any of that." I stated

"So you want to die of hunger." she snapped

"You know right , how to cook" I asked

"As if you'll eat if I make" she muttered

"Why I'll not ? " I asked

"You suddenly become full when you come to know that I've made something" she mocked and I remembered what I did in India.

"I was angry that time"I sighed

"Who knows you become angry tomorrow too" she said

"The reasons were different that time and now if I get angry anytime.. I'm sure reason will be something else" I told looking at her and she looked at me for some seconds and nodded.

"So you gonna enter kitchen from tomorrow " I asked

"I don't want to die of hunger in your house Abeer Malhotra" She said going to her room and I smiled.

"Good night" I wished

"You too" she replied and I was smiling like an idiot.

What am I even doing?

I went to my room and stretched myself on the bed.

I don't know when sleep engulfed me and I woke up when my alarm rang. 6:30 am.

I freshened up and headed towards third floor to gym when I saw the lights of her room on.

Is she awake so early.

Shall I go?
No.

But Why Not?
Yes. Go!!

I entered her room and saw her sleeping hugging a pillow.

My lips twitched in a smile seeing this but there was something which made me frown.

Her frown.

Her face was sad. I've never seen lights of her room on.

As if you ever noticed before?

She might have forgot to off them. I clicked the buttons and off them and as soon as I did she stood up with a jerk.

"Who's there" she shouted and I on the lights.

"Hey calm down. It's me only" I said

"What are you doing in my room " She asked

"Was going to gym when saw lights on. I guess you forgot to turn them off " I told and she nodded her head.

Then why she woke up all of a sudden?

"You sleep with lights on" I asked

"N... No It's just you said na I forgot " She said and I looked at her.

"Okay then sleep. I'll off them" I told and she looked at the floor nodding.

She won't tell me anything.

"I'm already awake. I'll... " She was going to say when I stopped her.

"Lights are on. Off them whenever you want to. Good night" I told and she looked at me with wide eyes.

"Shall I go" I asked breaking the chain of her thoughts

"Of course" she said plainly and I nodded going.

She really behaves very strange sometimes!

I did my work out for two hours and then went downstairs towards my room when suddenly her door opened and she stepped on my foot.

"Oh shit. I'm sorry " She said

"History repeating itself" I replied and she looked confused at me.

"Leave. Where are you going" I asked

"To kitchen for Break fast"she said and I nodded

"You need help. I mean you've not worked inside before right" I asked and she nodded

"okay then come" I told and she looked at me.

"You have not hit your head anywhere right" she asked and I glared her.

"Why you think so" I asked

"You don't behave so nicely" She said and I frowned

"What will you have" she asked me

"Anything without poison" I smirked and she glared me.

"I'm make it sure to you before eating " she said and I chuckled.

"I'll make sandwiches, with pancakes and Orange juice" She told and I nodded

"Need any help" I asked

"No I'll manage" She said

Soon she prepared the breakfast and honestly the smell of pancakes was amazing.

"I burnt calories right now" I said frowning

"These are healthy and without poison. Shall I taste them for your satisfaction that I've not mixed anything" She asked smiling and I'll not be wrong if I say her smile is beautiful!!

"No it's okay" I said and chuckled.

She served me breakfast and took her and was standing up.

"I think you forgot what I said yesterday" I said and she stopped turning with a frown.

"Mhm " she replied and sat there.

We did our breakfast silently.

"It was tasty Meera" I complimented and she smiled.

She was going out when I stopped her.

"What will you do now" I asked

"I don't know. May be read a book or something" She said

"So you've seen library" I asked

"Abeer Malhotra.You've given me room to live in this house is enough for me. I don't roam in every corner of your house other then my room, kitchen and garden " she said

And that really hurts!

"You can roam wherever you want " I told

"I'm good like this only" she said and went to her room.

I sighed at called Patrick.

"Good morning sir" He said

"Morning. Give me the details of all the video conferences " I asked

"Sir I've already mailed them to you" He said

"okay fine. " I replied and hanged up.

I went to my room. Took bath and changed into my casuals.

I was going to study when I heard her voice.

Don't get addicted to this voice Abeer.

But isn't it so melodic Abeer?

Don't forget what has she done Abeer?
Did she ever do something Abeer?
Arrghh!!!

I turned myself and left towards the study. My conferences started and I was free at 3 pm.

I stretched my body and went downstairs.

She was plating the lunch on dining table.

"Lunch ready" I asked and she nodded

Doesn't it look like only I'm taking initiative to talk.!!!

We did our lunch and I was sitting in the living area when I got mom's video call.

"Hey mom" I said

"Hello Abeer. How are you" she asked

"I'm good mom. How are you and dad " I asked

"We're great; heard about the curfew in New York. You both are okay ?" she asked

"We're very okay" I said

"Where's my doll" She asked

"In the kitchen" I replied

"What's she doing there. Where's Scarlett " she asked and I told her about that.

"So go and help her doing dishes at least" She said

"It's already done mom" came her voice from behind and she smiled at mom.

"How's my sweety" Mom asked and I gestured her to come and sit

"I'm good mom. Missing you both terribly " She said and Mom smiled

"Why? Is this monkey not behaving properly with you" Mom asked and she looked at me.

"No mom. He's behaving great" She smiled and I looked at her.

Why she always lie about us to mom?

"You know you both look so amazing to gather. Be with each other and Abeer take care of her" Said mom

"Sure mom. I'll gladly do this" I said pulling her close to me and Mom chuckled

"Okay Bye" She said and we nodded.

"Leave me Abeer" she said

"Why" I asked

"Abeer. Leave me. The drama is done in front of mom" She said and I looked at her.

"Why you always lie to mom about us" I asked

"Because I can't see her unhappy due to any of the reasons. Her heart is already weak and I Don't want her to take any tension..." she said looking at me

She's really something.

"Thankyou" I said

"For what" she asked

"For.. I don't know. Just thankyou" I said and left her.

It feels good to have her close to me.
I never felt this for Emma too.

I don't know why but now a days it feels as if this mansion is having a soul in itself.

Maybe she has become the soul of this mansion.

I myself don't know what's this all.

Because I've never felt this before ever.
This is new for me!

The reason yet to be discovered!!!
